  1. Sweet fvcking holy hell DAYAM.....what an analogically weirdly chardonnay driven insight I've just had!!! Kimmie and Rehab....think about this in terms of Lucy, Charlie Brown and the football.... Lucy = kimmie Charlie Brown = fans, viewers, public and suckers at large Football = rehab SNAP!
  2. These continued, manipulative ploys to gain leniency from the court and sympathy from the public really piss me off. IF there were ANY sincerity at all in this latest foray into "help" (LOVE the use of such an ambiguous term), kim and whomever else is involved in her latest spin away from taking responsibility would just SHUT UP AND DO IT.
  3. And to think I was worried that nothing could hold a candle to the first season. YAY!!!!!
  4. Truly, the more things change, the more they stay the same. In the first season of NY, Ramona was a champion-level shit-stirrer whom I could not stand...she still is. In the first season, Lulu was an arrogant, overly entitled egotistical piece of shit whom I could not stand...she still is. In the first season, Bethenny, as much as I like her and am an unapologetic fan, was a neurotic, anxiety-ridden, pre-menopausal-gotta-have-a-kid-NOW shrieking ladder-climber of a woman who wanted it all with absolutely NO compromise, and although I think she's beginning to learn differently, essentially, she still is. And I still like her. So. Not so much change in either them or me. How weird is it that I find some comfort in the fact that some things in the universe seemingly remain constant?
  5. YAY!!!!! They are gone!!!! I can see the network wanting to do something about the evils of child molestation, even if for NO reason other than to CYA, which I believe is all they care about....but....the bit I saw about a couple of the duggar girls being part of a show on molestation showed me just how fame/money/whorish they all are....I saw the segment with Jessa and Jill and thought at the time how VERY fake it seemed of the one (can't recall which one as they/their ideology/smiling platitudes are completely interchangeable to me) who made the teary statement that digging it all up was like making them go through it all again....well then, maybe daddy dickwad and mummy memememememememe should have taken care of ALL of their children properly the first time around!!!!! I never did watch the show as its basic depiction of and attitude toward women/females sickens me, so I would never be a candidate to watch any future travesty they try to perpetrate/perpetuate on the rest of society....whom I still think are better than to fall for duggar crap in any event. If they had seemed at all sincere in the first place, it might feel differently, but after all I have read and, of late, seen, not so much.
  6. I do recall Ashley going over to B&B quite briefly. It looked like they were trying out a pairing between her and Ridge 1.0. No chemistry at all - ironic as I believe chemist is Ashley's profession in developing products for Jabot. Totally in favor of a new brandi-reference-less tag line for Eileen and she deserves a totally classy one.
  7. Vicki's relentless, primal screeching was very telling....it was all full of what she/Vicki needed...not a word about whether her mother suffered or of how Vicki should have been there for her mom, not the other way around...and especially telling was the part she yelled about having nobody to care about her/Vicki...isn't Crooks supposed to be her 'man'...shouldn't she be looking to/thinking of him for her comfort? I've never liked Vicki and remember particularly the episode seasons ago when she was at her mom's home and actually demanding her mom tell Vicki that she loved her...something very wrong with that whole picture....back to this episode....Crooks is having a very difficult time putting on the sympathy face....he just looks like someone who guesses he's supposed to be playing the part of the concerned SO and that face is the best he can do....OH SNAP...they just replayed the scene where Vicki corners her mom and gets an exasperated and reluctant 'I love you'....hope she enjoyed it...so glad I don't watch this one on a regular basis...Trampy is looking older and harder and older and harder....geesch...
  8. Well, Christian (especially) and Maria certainly grew in my estimation during this episode....especially since there were several times when they seemed to be the only 'adults' in the room...I would LOVE to see a sort of 'year later after Arranged' follow-up that would show Maria having a job (with full family approval, of course) at a cosmetic counter of a major department store - she'd probably shine...I also loved that they both stuck to their guns about what their culture requires of them, particularly in the area of PDAs and other very personal interactions - they were clearly in agreement with each other as to what was and was not within their comfort/propriety zones...other than Josh's (production driven, of course - but did he really have to go along with it?) prying questions about their sex life, they seemed to handle things well, and Christian was man enough (are you listening Josh, Veeral) to admit those times when his behavior toward Maria was not right ....the part I did not like was the attempt to put Christian and Maria on the spot about whether or not the wedding would have happened if the dowry had not been paid...what total IDIOT would think two gypsy teens would come up with something so unbelievably smarmy as to suggest either/or/both would have insisted the wedding go on! Were they not paying attention? The bride and groom hardly knew each other...and paying a dowry is a BIG sign of how much the grooms family values the addition of the bride, and how much the bride's family values herloss as a member of the family...just because they are ultra gender-specific in the who-does-what-and-who-is-in-charge thing, doesn't mean women have no say 'in gypsy culture'. Both Nina and Maria are far too outspoken to ever be mistaken as doormats. Like other posters, I did not see the inclusion of Christian's parents as due to anything other than their ages and earlier information in the series about her parents not wanting to be on camera. I kinda like Michael and Nina - they did grow on me (unlike Josh's nasty, shrew mother). Whether or not I agree with their culture/lifestyle, they all do seem sincere. Josh will always be a total disappointment if only for the fact that he refuses to stand up to his own mother in defense of his wife...I don't think Lisa and her cohort could have been so very gleeful in their criticism/relentless correction of Meghan (whom I dislike so intensely it horrifies me that I am actually defending her) if that was not their actual feelings/attitude....run Meghan run...Josh's bullshit dumping of the sweet tea proves beyond any doubt that he trivializes his wife and sees her as no more than an oversized child who is incapable of acting in her own best interest. Of Ragini and Veeral, I can't decide who I dislike more...his eternal AHA! I'M RIGHT AND YOU'RE WRONG attitude or the ease with which he throws Ragini under the bus and creates conspiracies to skew things in his own favor (I have an ex-hubs just like that - the operative word being 'ex') or Ragini's total lack of ethics in cheating during a stupid 'Newly Arranged' game and trying to change the meaning of what she did and did not agree to...If she's really THAT quick to cheat (allowances for that being production driven notwithstanding) what the hell are her ethics in the business world? I forget what exactly she does for a living, but I do not believe I would trust her any further than I could throw her with both hands tied firmly behind my back. I don't know if they are planning any followup show on these three couples, but Christian and Maria I would be interested in seeing more of; the others, not so much. If this series has a next season, I really hope they will tried a bit harder to find couples who are truly arranged. Could be we'd have an entirely Gypsy show, but then again, I understand there are, at the very least, some religious sects in the US who practice the same philosophy....it does have potential.
  9. No how, no way will I watch it. Just....NO.
  10. Up here in the boonies, I haven't been able to see this episode on line or any other way, so I am suffering through the 'marathon' lead in to this episode...tried all my On Demand & on-line options & couldn't find the sucker anywhere. Arranged has taught me that Gypsies toss their kids into marriage with total disregard to the kid's and/or kid's potential spouse's level of maturity. There are lots of 18 year olds who actually do understand what it means to be and function as an adult in the world and conduct themselves accordingly - these two, not so much. I can cut Maria some slack because she was raised to be an indentured servant, and Christian because his parents clearly figured their job was done when the kid popped out of the womb and learned how to use and Xbox....not a very good commentary on either generation for blind adherence to 'the way things are done' in spite of the emotional impact it has on them, the kids, and (goddess forbid) the kids kids, who are sure to be on the way quite soon. But at least they give some honesty to the title of the show. Ragini and Veeral - if their whole schtick wasn't so blatantly and obviously set up and scripted from word one, I'd be furious at his arrogance and bullying; at her prevarication and arrogance; at his parents' collusion and interference; at her parents absence in all this. As it is, every time I hear Veeral (don't recall hearing Ragini saying it, but I probably just missed it) say words to the effect of 'because we're ARRANGED....this' and 'because we're ARRANGED...that' I want to either puke or slap his face, or both... Meghan and Josh....what I have gotten from these two is that I NEVER want to hear the phrase 'from the south' or 'southern couples....this' or 'southern wives.....that' again. I have also learned that SOUTHERN WIVES are expected to eternally kiss their MIL's asses, while the SOUTHERN HUSBAND gets to completely forget he even HAS such a thing as a MIL...at least they don't say ARRANGED as often as Veeral does....maybe they get extra money every time they remind the viewing audience that they are ARRANGED? To make it even worse, Josh seems to be determined to spend the rest of his life taking his mother's side in everything, no matter how much upset or stress it causes his wife....guess he's another one who got married just to get a housemaid and cook and sex on demand. The only common thread I can see among all three couples is that once the wedding takes place, the parents of the bride cease to have any relevance/importance. So, not only do the daughters get dumped on, but their parents get a slap in the face as well. Maria has no idea how wise she was in saying she doesn't want to have any daughters.
  11. If that article is accurate in stating that kim is not participating in treatment activities at the rehab facility, then she may well be AT rehab, but she is most definitely not IN rehab. I believe this is because she intends to give the appearance of recovery while remaining actively using her substances of choice. I truly hope that when she actually has to face a judge in court, she is required to account for her lack of cooperation and total dishonesty with the process.
  12. I've only seen references to pitbull and speculation about the possible addition of her to the cast. I have no idea if Bravo, TPTB are considering her or anyone else as new HWs... It's just that I was so totally turned off by pitbull's behavior during the episodes in previous season/s in which she appeared and spewed her so obviously (to me, at least) kyle-driven venom that I simply could not stomach the prospect of having to deal with her on a regular basis in order to watch a silly TV show... ...if I have to spend my viewing time being vigilant of a particular person's appearance so I can put my attention elsewhere (no DVR here), it's simply more effort that I am willing to invest... ...If it comes to pass that I have so many objections to cast members that I can't see past wasting my time on the show, I'll probably just follow these forums - which are so full of intelligent and witty poster's that I would dearly miss it (and really, how totally fucked up is it that the forum is more enjoyable to me than the show on which it is based?) I totally agree about the additions of LisaR and Eileen as being good...I thoroughly enjoyed both of them, although on balance, I prefer Eileen's cool, intelligent, no-non-sense approach (OK, the WHOLE Susan, baby Elvis thing on Days was a BIT much, but, notwithstanding) over LisaR's emotionalism (well-intentioned in the defense of hubby, home, and hearth as it were - and I LOVED her as DAY'S Billy with RKK's Beau - WHAT A SHAME to get rid of those two particular pieces of eye-candy!) yet, as a former Days (plus diehard AW fan from the very first episode to the final, totally heartbreaking death of the show- or in my late mother's words 'my story' - and I won't even go into the disgustingly commercially motivated ever-so-brief inclusion of AW characters in ATWT - which, for that and other Stewart character sins, richly deserved the whimpering end it received) and current (albeit sporadic Y&R viewer- can't STAND Victor) viewer, I DO love the inclusion of BOTH of them in RHBH. I think, at this point, I need more food and less wine.... Anyhow, after that confusing diatribe....YAY Eileen, YAY LisaR...continuing YAY LisaV, (with or without VPR - SUCH a silly show!) And....(Oh So Happily)...Buh-Bye kimmie!!!!! (dare I say, PUHLEEZE NO Kathy...I just can't, see any point to her inclusion...every time I see her I think I am looking at a paper cut-out of a human being. If we MUST keep someone from that, from all that I have read, totally fucked up, family, let's just stick with the lesser of all evils and keep kyle. ...in any event, later, my dears!
  13. Well, sweet holy hell! Go away for a couple of weeks to do a favor for a friend in need and a dream comes true! Kimmie being gone gives me the desire to watch the next season of this show. But, if the Resnick pitbull is added to the cast, that would be my absolute, definite deal breaker - I just don't want to waste my brainless entertainment time on stuff that causes me nothing but aggravation - plus, I'm NOT a kyle fan at all, and the introduction of pitbull to do kyle's dirty work again as in whatever the hell season it was, was a real stomach turner...I don't give a rat's hind end about whose friend she was or was not and can even chalk up her trading in on the death of a friend as the pitiful, opportunistic activities of someone who has precious little else going for her...but her behavior on BH was NOT what I watch these shows for...I want the house porn, clothes porn, party porn, with a tad of shallow, harmless drama tossed in to keep it spicy...I don't want deep, dark, dirty druggies, sex addicts, or smirking overblown egos hell bent on preserving the entitlements they fantasize they deserve for a few hours worth of d grade entertainment. Probably why I like LisaV, Eileen, LisaR , Camille and Joyce and could easily do without Brandi, Kim, Kyle and even Yo (although Yo is so MUCH more entertaining with My love and her house and fridge and her not quite in touch with 21st century real reality - she is, imnsho, pretty much sweetly harmless to those who have enough brains to think for themselves) I guess they have me hooked through at least the first episode or so....but if pitbull shows up on the promos holding that diamond, I'm gone just like OC and NJ and ATL.
  14. IMO an addict is an addict until they die...the only question whether they are actively using/abusing up to the end, or if they have honestly sought/worked to reclaim their lives from the addiction.
  15. I've never seen any of the Duggar shows, mostly because their worldview, in particular that of relegating women to the category of mindless broodmares, is both abhorrent and disgusting to me, so I had satisfied my curiosity by following this forum. A little while ago, I decided they were not worth even that much notice and unfollowed this forum. It was not until I learned, from a totally unrelated source, about the sexual abuse that has been perpetrated upon the juvenile females of the 'family' that I began following the forum once again. But I was wrong, utterly wrong to give such disgusting and despicable people as the Duggar parents and Josh Duggar even one moment of my time. I sincerely hope the parents and Josh are punished to the full extent of whatever law there may be for whatever crimes they may still be answerable for, although I fear they have conducted themselves in such a manner as to guarantee none of them will have to stand in real earthly judgment for what they have done, and I believe that was deliberately done to protect whomever had a penis. Likewise I fear the females under the control of the parents, as well as those recently married off, will never see one second of justice, of validation, of apology for what they have had to endure. Indeed, I fully expect those females will be expected to bear the full burden of guilt for having forced their poor, perverted brother (and who knows who else, for IMO, the door has been busted wide open on that one) to molest them, and their poor, brain-dead, greedy, narcissistic father to scrambling about to protect his penis-burdened progeny while his scheming partner screams about defaults and Nikes. I live in a state where poverty and ignorance are in abundance, and there are always enough things to face in my real life, to try and /help/fix if I can, or deal with in whatever way I can in good conscience and with the best of intentions to those who seem unable to help themselves, that I cannot see wasting even one more nanosecond of my life on a couple who has, IMNSHO, clearly, clearly sold their collective souls for the almighty buck. Perhaps the love of money truly IS the root of all evil. In any event, the words 'Duggar', 'amoral' and 'avaricious' will be forever synonymous for me. Goddess bless all of you who have the capacity to be so understanding and forgiving. I think you must be much better people than I can ever hope to be or strive for.
  16. The only couple I can buy so far is Christian and Maria....he's such a pissy POS of an adolescent/adult wannabee, while she is trying to live up to what she has been taught to accept as her life - except, somewhere along the line, no one ever bothered to tell her happiness wasn't a part of the equation....and given how happy her sister seems to be, it must be a double disappointment for Maria. I do, however, love that she has the innate spunk to talk back to Christian, albeit in her own quiet way. Somehow that barely audible 'get over it' has much more impact than any screaming could. Christian needs a smack upside the head - as do his parents for not bothering to lay it on the line - teaching by example? BULLSHIT! I wish Maria well....if it's with Christian, then after he has had a serious bout of honest self-reflection (which seems highly unlikely at this point)...and if it's without Christian, I hope the break up is accomplished in such a manner as to not dishonor either Maria or her family....I think she has the capacity to be a great partner to any man who will meet her half way. Ragini & Veeral....I just don't buy it AT ALL.....they've lived together 4 years?....separate bedrooms (or not)....with marriage in mind and IN ALL THAT TIME the subject of his parents moving in with them post-nuptials (which, as far as I know is a well known/accepted part of Indian culture) AND babies, when and how many NEVER came up? I call total BS on that. They are both professionals, intelligent people who must have had plans for how their lives would go, yet they failed to include in-laws and children in the equation once they became 'arranged'? Garbage. Meghan & Josh....well, I thought the idea of a woman attending college simply to get her MRS degree was sexist crap long dead, but not for dear, southern belle, Meghan. And REALLY? They were both too drunk to remember whether or not they had 'safe sex' on that one night? Certainly they are not depending on the pill, other hormonal methods, implants, or IUD for birth control, which seems to leave condoms or the wonderfully accurate rhythm method (insert sarcasm) as the birth control method of choice. Did they not have the capacity to check on whether or not a condom had been used? Are they so stupid as to rely on the rhythm method? Methinks somebody is rather desperate for a story line. As much as I dislike Meghan, I wouldn't wish Josh's mother on my worst enemy...I can just imagine how Josh's mom as granny would make it her life's mission to upstage Meghan as mom every chance she got....she's one nasty piece of work, all wrapped up in a sheepskin of 'christian' values and 'southern womanhood'...(insert puke-face)
  17. The idea of this bitch getting out one second early is disgusting beyond compare. I can just see Bravo filming the triumphant release and return 'home'. Major vomit factor. If that is indeed the case, I'll cross Bravo completely off my TV viewing plans. Between this bitch and kimmie on BH, there are FAR TOO MANY rewards being handed out for atrocious behavior.
  18. Exactamundo!!!!! Which is why Ryan Douche angers me so much....for a guy who would have us believe he is smart and successful, he sure shows a bigtime case of the stupids when he just assumes that marriages today are the same as when his grandparents were working on theirs. Now, if they could BOTH only get a clue!
  19. I have to wonder if kimmie did actually go into rehab. With a court date coming up on 6/10, entering rehab and blowing it off well before the end of her commitment could make her look bad in court. Added to the fact that she's already publicly admitted that she did drink and drive in the hours preceding her arrest, she's painting herself into a bit of a corner. If she's in rehab and blows it off (again) she's displaying insincerity and a lack of seriousness about getting/staying sober. If she hasn't gone into rehab, the question could be asked that, given the actions that lead to her arrest proves a serious slip/relapse, why hasn't she. Will it turn out that the attempt at PR damage control she tried to effect by going on DP has actually put her in a worse position than if she had just laid low until her court date? Either way, this inquiring mind wants to know.
  20. The truly revealing moment for me was when Christian was yelling at Maria and said (words to the effect) 'you don't do anything for me'.....and he wasn't talking about her taking care of his stuff properly....Dude just blew his cover...I think she'd be thrilled if he took her out for a burger, or a walk in a park, or a movie, and actually tried to engage in conversation...she could make an effort in that regard, too....but if I were in her shoes, I'd have left already and let him deal with the fallout....wanker...
  21. Run, Maria, run. At this point, I have to wonder if there's something more than immaturity going on with Christian. Almost liked Gypsy mom there until she made it pretty clear that the concern she was expressing was much more for the family to save face than to help a young girl who has a total asshat for a spouse through a rough patch. Real touching how she was so worried that they'd have a tough time attracting two more victims, er, brides, for the younger sons if the first bride takes a powder. Loved the entire Indian pre-wedding segments - but - broken leg? C'mon! Nice play for sympathy and drama at the same time, though. Would have been a tad more believable if she had managed a slight limp coming off the dance floor. Southern Bride....just no. I saw nothing appealing about the whole set up. Guess I'll have to wait for the drama to kick in when she comes back from her first post wedding shopping trip.
  22. AND a VERY SPECIAL Thanks to Persnickety! Both for alerting me to AND posting the You Tube Vidoeo! You saved me a LOT of time as I would have waited for Dr. Phil to come on in my area!
  23. ITA......and I DO love me a Snickers Bar!!!! As far as widdle kimmie, bitch please..... The looks on the kids faces said it all... LOVED how widdle kimmie outed herself time and again with repeating the same bullshit about 'anxiety', 'sober 3 years', 'anxieties, 'don't remember - oh wait - remember through a fog - oh wait - remember in waves, anxieties, AND her demands/conditions under which she would agree to grace the world with her presence in rehab....bitch, please GET OFF my TV. Funniest point to me was when ole Phil asked her if she was prepared to just walk away from RHOBH & the bitch got the weirdest look on her face as she lied, that OF COURSE she would walk away.....what a total drunken lying drunk liar who drunkenly lies! Haven't ever watched Dr. Phil before (except for a couple snippets I couldn't avoid while tuning in to Biggest Loser that would come on right after his show) and probably won't again - but I did get my money's worth & credit him for having the chops to face her down - I doubt she has had to put up with a total lack of ass-kissing before....kimmie outed herself in a venue other than the totally sanitized environment she has been gifted with on Bravo & I, for one, am very, very pleased about that.
  24. I think I may have given the wrong impression. I was not intending to disparage Odo's appeal...he simply does not appeal to me, which is, NOT to say I think he would not be appealing to a woman in the timeframe, political atmosphere and sexual proclivities of his station in life at the time in question... physical appearance is not the defining characteristic for everyone.... I see everything as on a continuum.....at one end we have the person who faints at the very sight of a hypodermic needle, at the other we have the one who sees a cat 'o nine tails and says, Whoopie, Hell, YES!!!!!....There are those who can not bear the thought of a bandaid being pulled off, and at the other end are those who say, do it again, harder..... I admit to knowing next to nothing about the BDSM - Bondage/Discipline, Dominance/Submission, Sadism/Masochism lifestyles, as they are often overlapped in definition - but I do know that if I were so inclined, I would chose my partner to be Rollo rather than Odo, which is nothing more than a comment on my own preferences in having my sexual partners being as physically appealing to me as the erotic appeal of the actions in which we engage. I do totally agree with Odo's 21st century nod to the amenities of safewords and consents being given, understood, and reciprocated... GIven all that, I am still wondering if little miss submissive was simply placed in Odo's path as, perhaps a diversion, a compensation for the loss of the royal Gisela, or if her handlers are seeing a way to gain control over the one who has shown himself to delight in exerting painful control over others... will this play out to be a 'weakness' that is used to try and bring him to heel? Or will it simply serve as a definition of the one aspect of the social/sexual mores of a particular segment of the population at that time. I can't wait to see what the next season brings. And, WTF is up with the wimpy emperor and his dark mask....has anyone found out any historical reference to the use of such masks?
  25. The Southern MIL struck me as nothing short of a totally nasty control freak of a bitch who HAD to one-up any one and every one! What kind of a woman tries to outshine the bride on the bride's day? When I saw the Charleston segment, I could NOT imagine doing that back-swing thing in ANY dress, let alone a wedding gown! Given the fact that bridie "likes to eat, and that's a problem", I have to think MIL's motive was MUCH less than pure in suggesting a first dance where sonny boy not only had to catch his hefty bride on the run, but had to then execute that back swing maneuver AND carry her off the dance floor! As much as I dislike Southern Bride (who is a pathetic piece of parasitic work in her own right), her MIL is the absolute worst possible definition of a mother in law....and that's going some from one/me whose first MIL was also an authoritative ultra-conservative Southern bitch. I was pleased to see Gypsy Bride Maria speak her concerns in a calm, even voice. Shrieking/screaming would have gotten her a label as a shrew/prima donna. By stating her case in a calm manner, she (I hope!) will be taken seriously. I have a feeling at least one of her parents had the foresight to impress upon her that she still had rights as a human being, regardless of how much was paid for her or what a douche her husband is being. Does this guy/Christian do ANYTHING beside play video games and 'style' his hair? How can his parents have thought he was ready to take on the responsibilities of heading up his own household? I know it was mentioned, but I have forgotten how long they are to live with his parents before establishing their own home. I know the edit is done to ramp up interest - but still, as cut and spliced as the preview clips may be, they (Christian, Maria, et al) still said and did the things shown - albeit it not in the same sequence/context. IMO, Christian is prissy momma's boy who needs to get off his butt and get a life - hopefully an adult one...I hope his father has learned enough over the years to give the kid some proper guidance. I still don't care much for Christian's mom, but I have lost maybe 1/10 of my dislike for her. She is a product of her environment, after all, as are they all. I love the Indian couple....and had to laugh my ass off when the Ragini tried to make it seem like Veraal hadn't warned her about exactly the correct thing - not sure if it was stability or maneuverability of an ATV - so he doesn't get to say 'I told you so'....such a clearly face saving speech, I just had to laugh - I am sure that even as they spoke, they both knew she was scrambling to not look like an idiot. And it doesn't seem like he rubbed it in....but I'll have to watch again to make sure. In any event, they are still the most likeable couple of the three - which is a shame as they are not the one that was truly 'arranged'.
