  1. I've been so puzzled about the flight attendant thing that I googled for height requirements - which are reasonable as they must be able to reach the overheads and safety equipment - and the info I got was the usual requirement is between 5'3" and 6'1", but lower heights - 4'11" - may be acceptable for regional airlines/smaller airplanes. That makes sense. I had fantasized that Taylor would get to training, they'd take one look at her and ask why she overlooked the height requirement on the application, and send her packing. I would imagine that most of the larger airlines need to be able to schedule their attendants where they are needed without having to check their height before every assignment. Then again, they could also tell her that upon completion of training, she'd be assigned to short/domestic flights/smaller aircraft/being the only attendant (which is quite common on the CRJs I've been on) - hardly the glamorous travel ops she's probably hoping for. I also wondered about the 'pastor' they visited and I have a sneaking suspicion that he was from her church. He did not seem to know very much at all about David's father's passing and how if affected him. And, the fact that Taylor did not mouth off at him when he told her she was selfish sounded like someone who has seen the little bitch in action. I also could not picture her uncompromising little ass agreeing to take any sort of counseling/advice from any cleric other than the one she claims to be so devoted to. I was totally livid to see that session play out as if David's insecurities are the cause of all their marital discord - WITHOUT any mention of what a nasty harpy she is. Ben really needs to stop gloating every time he gets the response he wants from his rabbi buddy. Even though I agree that they have no business procreating until they have the income/space/means to raise a child/2/3/10, this was something they should have discussed BEFORE they even set a wedding date. It is certainly something the rabbi should have advised them about during the pre-marital counseling they supposedly attended. Maneedy and Manure - just no. Go away. Don't come back.
  2. Yippee! However, I am embarrassed to admit that, even though I could not help but thinking that this was something I had seen/heard/read before, the Gatsby similarities never connected in my brain....and that took some doing....Can't wait until the next episode tonight and now I WILL be on the lookout for other old friends! Just one more thing to enjoy...as well as finally having something elseon tv that is actually worth watching...too much garbage, not enough quality on the tube these days IMNSHO...
  3. Well said, Evil Queen, I would have been much less inclined to put ben/vicki in the faking column IF they had been honest about where they actually 'live'. I can completely understand a landlord not wanting the filming done on his property, that's not my issue...it is the lie about which location is their actual/true/real home that pisses me off, particularly because it/the lie was both totally unnecessary and clearly contrived to make it (falsely) seem that ben has any regard/consideration at all for his wife. I also don't recall ben apologizing for wasting both food money and vicki's time in preparing his lunches when he, according to what she said and he did not contradict, only eats part of the homemade lunch, then trashes the rest in favor of purchasing sushi. Clearly, she needs to curtail her spending - but at least she acknowledges that she does have a tendency to overspend. ben seems to think that everything he says/does/wants is blessed from on high - his arrogance and controlling attitude may not be as loudly and stridently voiced as taylor's, but it is very much the same. Too bad David isn't an observant Jew - I wonder how his mildness would match up with vicki's need to be handled with kid gloves.
  4. Wait a minute.....this really pisses me the fuck totally off! If they did NOT take the Harlem apartment, what the hell was that bit about ben claiming, on camera, to be making the concession to live in Harlem to show that he is taking vicki's needs and wants into consideration. The ONLY reason for that segment was to show some responsible, mature, considerate thinking/acting on his part in regard to the woman he has been trying to browbeat, lay a guilt trip on, and manipulate for the entire show. AND IT WAS ALL A BIG FAT LIE!?!?!?!?!?!? I'm not a Jew, so someone, please tell me, where in Torah does it condone this behavior. What is the law that says Jewish men (and I use the term VERY loosely in ben's case) are encouraged to manipulate and lie to their wives. Is this what ben learned in his pre -marital counseling? No wonder he clings to that crap POS car... Geez...the one couple I had counted on for some genuine interaction is nothing but a big fat fraud. At least Manure is quite blatant and above board with his misogynistic arrogance....that Maneedy chose to marry him and stay with him is on her....from what I have seen of her family, they would no doubt understand her 2nd marital mistake and welcome her back, so I can see no pressure on her to stay with this creep, other than her apparent obsession with popping out a kid asap. I guess, all things considered, Taylor and David are the most honest couple. He probably is the wimp/overly compromising man he appears to be. She, most definitely is the nasty piece of work she is portraying. If I had had any doubt about it, and that was pretty much decided for me long before this episode...this bullshit about which church to attend confirms it. As there was NO mention of David and Taylor attending church together before they got married, she's got no leg to stand on now. She is the epitome of a convenient christian - the kind that clings to whatever works in her favor and discards/refuses to obey those precepts that don't stroke her enormous ego. Last season I found Christian and Maria (and Nina and Michael) entertaining enough, as well as being consistent in practicing what they preached....this season has so far been a total waste of time. Now, with this bullshit behavior from a yeshiva boy who is supposedly SO devoted to religious orthodoxy is just too much. How can you be living 'in the moment' and be so willing to engage in media manipulation? Hypocrites, the lot of them.
  5. Well, I had been looking forward to this season of Arranged, but all my expectations/hopes have been totally dashed. Maneedy and Manure are even WORSE fake fakers who fake - easily outdoing the previous season's Vereel and Ragini...I sincerely hope they do NOT procreate...I can not imagine the world with more than one Manure Taylor is the absolute quintessential caricature of the nagging/fishwife/harpy/shrew...David could do with more than being a lump, but is still the lesser offensive of the two....I can not believe people from two different churches would not have had the 'which church' discussion long, long, ago....especially if Taylor is so totally devoted to her Southern Baptist roots....more fakery.. I REALLY wanted to like Vicki and Ben, but was unfortunately not surprised when he proved to be a rather arrogant, condescending, I'm-right-you're-wrong wet behind the ears buttwad, able to conveniently cite some obscure Torah law to bolster his side. Vicki's level of immaturity and excessive spending was a surprise...I LOVE nice things, I have a lot of them, and I paid for every one of them with money I earned at a real-life job, but not until the household bills and a bit in the savings account had all been taken care of...that's called responsibility... and, as several other posters have stated, I can't imagine why they need a car. I'm not all that familiar with NYC, only visited there a couple of times, but was still quite impressed with the ease of travel throughout the area using a combo of foot/taxi/subway travel...and from the sheer number of people/vehicles (seeming gargantuan to my boondocks oriented frame of reference) it would seem to me that a personal auto would be much more of a hassle than it's worth. Think I may be writing this one off for the rest of the season....Taylor's constant nasty attitude and screeching are doing unkind things to my blood pressure. On the other hand, I've seen a few commercials for the next season of Married at First Sight and may give that a look-see....or not....depends on how much of a glutton for punishment I am on the day it airs
  6. Yes, you're right. I knew I was missing at least one, but how I forgot THAT one is surprising. I, too, have no doubt he'll be back at least on RHBH.
  7. Mohammed appeared on Million Dollar Listing LA a couple of years ago. I believe it was a tour of his home with the nasty Josh.
  8. I saw brandi on WWHL...she seemed just as desperate - and pathetic - as ever. Wonder how she likes life as an F- list 'celeb'.
  9. SO Happy Yo is gone! May her journey take her far, far away from anything that appears on my TV. I wonder, since Mohammed has appeared on more than one Bravo show, if he might still certainly pop up from time to time - along with the kidlings - and I doubt that with his big bucks doing the talking, Yo would make any attempt to go up against his wishes or whims.
  10. I never would have thought any man could appear as a bigger douche than Vereel, but Mayur does it.....to extremes. I can only hope that his totally OTT entitled 'me master, you slave' routine is production driven.....otherwise, he seriously needs to be kicked to the curb....repeatedly....by lots of women in stiletto heels....or ballet flats....and taking his thrice damned chore lists to the nearest bonfire... Ben has no business being married....I do not understand how someone who seems to be as articulate and focused as Vicki could settle for such a juvenile POS who has clearly been allowed to stay up much too much past his naptime... Taylor/David....no....just no....just not in any universe I care to occupy....especially NOT in that camper....and with those parents.......EEEEEEWWWWWW I don't know that I'll even bother to watch the next episode....it's just NOT my idea of entertainment.....
  11. IIRC, back in Season 1, Asa mentioned that she did have a BF who was part of a famous family and, here my recall gets fuzzy, it was either she or he who wanted their relationship kept off the show out of respect for his family's privacy.
  12. IMNSHO, when Snowflake says that Kathryn does good work on her back, she is speaking from experience....and intention....jus' sayin'
  13. Holy shitballs! I was surfing the channels looking for something relatively inoffensive to watch, and instead found Kelly Killoren (looks like she has shed the Bensimon/beensomeone miniker) on HSN shilling 'her' jewelry....I even watched for a nanosecond or two to be sure it was she....I did not see any owls, however....and I could NOT believe it was the same satchels of gold, cokedup/whatever she was on/ bitch from nyc of years ago, but there she was....actually looking somewhat sane...note to self...MUST stay away from HSN!
  14. Love this show and am relieved to find I am not the only one who really doesn't like Amanda...I just can't get over the idea that if she is strong enough to leave an unhappy marriage, why wasn't she strong enough to approach Sidney about her feelings long before she went looking for Mr-rich-right. As for Sidney - he may be gorgeous eye candy, but is definitely stupid to presume to make up Amanda's mind for her as to whether she could 'do better' than be a vicar's wife in the first place. They pretty much deserve the dilemma they are in. Judging by what little I know of post WWII mores, I just don't see how they can end up together, unless Guy drops dead - oh, wait! Now wouldn't THAT be a mystery to solve! I don't care much for Guy either and pretty much feel he and Amanda fully deserve each other, but it would be a very convenient plot device if in the new season, he were to mysteriously end up dead, add to that Amanda and/or Sidney accused of the crime & we'd have a slam bang, but unfortunately rather unbelievable, kick off....which would, of course, end quite happily with whichever of the starcrossed couple had been accused being exonerated at the 11th hour by Geordie (of course - and I do love his character and the actor who portrays him) as Amanda gives birth...now all I have to do is keep watching and see how totally off base I am! :)
  15. Well...now that I have read what all my savvy, intelligent boardmates have written about this part of the reunion, I am SO glad I didn't watch it & have no intention of wasting any time on the reruns... But, an unseen footage episode - which if I understand correctly may be next week - could be something different, but on the whole, and especially with the pandering to kimmie and brandi and yoyolemons smug arrogance, I just can't be bothered. So, many thanks to all who suffered through the aggravation and stupidity of these episodes to make their posts and thereby save me from experiencing even the teeniest, weeniest itch to give it a look-see. You guys totally rock!
  16. I was so completely and totally disgusted with this installment that I will not be watching part 3, unless as a rerun, and then only because stuff I read on this board gives me hope that there was something worth seeing/hearing. Truly vomit-inducing moments: the total ass-kissing of yolanda, the total ass-kissing of kimmie, yolanda's disgusting smug self righteousness, kimmie's continued denial of any wrongdoing and her failure to acknowledge any bad behavior or need to apologize to anyone for anything, lipsa's behavior across the board (and this really was hard to acknowledge as I liked her SO much when she was on Days),pretty much everything eileen (whom I really disliked on Days and was ambivalent about on Y&R). I pretty much know what to expect from both LisaV and Kyle, so nothing either of them did or said bothered all that much (still don't like kyle, still do like LVP - which is not to say one is bad and the other is good; it is simply how I feel about them). And....most important of all...andy cohen totally and completely SUCKS as moderator/emcee/whatever the fvk he is supposed to be. The only good thing I can say about him is that at least he consistently sucks across the board for all HW reunion shows. "Damned by faint praise" and all.
  17. During the days of the OJ trial I was finishing college, holding down a job, running a household and totally obsessed with maintaining my GPA. Consequently I pretty much lived under a rock as far as exposure to anything media oriented that wouldn't give me the brief, enjoyable breaks I permitted myself from my self-imposed workload. I would have avoided viewing that trial in any event as I spent my childhood and adolescence during the years when, in many instances, rich and popular men always seemed to get a pass no matter how much they brutalized women. Just as I had never heard of either of the bitchard sisters before watching this show, I had also not heard of pitbull resnick, nor seen her Playboy spread, nor read her book - my continued dislike of her stems solely from the behavior she displayed on RHOBH. Since that season, I have avoided any segment she is a part of, and therefore have no idea if she has ever genuinely acknowledged any fault in her own behavior, but I tend to think not.. Every time her face appears I flash back to her cackling THs and the smug nastiness of her behavior to others in that first season of her appearances - can't even remember who her primary target was, she just seemed to seek out whomever kyle was pissed off at and go into full attack mode. I can't fathom why anyone who dislikes her as much as I do would want to waste any of their time following/tweeting her. Imo, even this post gives her more attention than it's worth, I only wrote it to add my two cents about the origins of my own personal dislike of resnick.
  18. I don't really give a rat's ass if yoyo is sick, semi-sick, really sick and/or with what she may be ailing. IMO, there is definitely something going on with her health-wise (physical and/or mental is for qualified professionals to decide). My problem with her is her holier-than-thou, self righteous attitude; her arrogant elitism and penchant to correct everyone about everything; her tendency to demand everything and offer nothing in exchange for the privilege of receiving her 'friendship' (in quotes as I really believe she does not understand the concept of true friendship); and most of all her constant emphasis on her journey, her demands for attention, her criticisms of anyone who does/has not provided said attention, and her ambiguously stated exaggerations of every aspect of whatever it is she actually has. She is an exhausting broken record, and so devoid of any engaging personality aspects as to make her universally unlikeable. I have not watched every second of every episode this season so I may have missed a nanosecond of this, but I have never seen her acknowledge any imperfection of behavior on her part, and I have certainly never seen her ever acknowledge that she might, maybe, possibly could have done/said anything that could possibly have been upsetting and hurtful to anyone else. I have definitely never seen her issue anything resembling an apology. She has an excuse for everything. I deplore this self-proclaimed 'strong' woman resorting to tears - a very transparent attempt at generating sympathy. I add her to the list of people, along with (kimmie, brandi, tmcfr) whose presence will keep me away from this show. A pity really, as I do love to watch LVP, who is far from perfect, but never fails to entertain, and would like to see her with some equally rich, snarky, women who will provide food/house porn - I'd even put up with kyle if they could cut the nasty idiocy (kim, tmcfr, erika, yoyo) and maybe bring back Camille and even Adrienne - both of whom were so far removed from the horrible nastiness of kim, brandi and tmcfr as to make them positively angelic by comparison.
  19. After searching all over for the rerun since I missed it first time around, I am seriously underwhelmed....couldn't maintain interest in even one of the couples, although the gay guys (sorry, don't recall the names) were the most 'present' and seemed un-fake and quite likeable. The rest of them need to take lessons from Christian and Maria and Michael and Nina.....geez I hope there's a follow up season of that Arranged family in the works!
  20. Saw the tabloids in the supermarket this AM.....Life & Style says teresa is preggers...with a boy...just as juicy is about to go to 'college'... ain't that touchin' not Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out the reasoning behind this latest bit of famewhoring where's that puke emoticon when you need it?
  21. Once upon a time I stopped watching VPR because of stasshole and only came back when she was gone as I had actually enjoyed the antics of some of the others. Seeing how this final episode played out, I now see this entire season as nothing but a diversionary con to deflect attention from the fact that stasshole always has been and always will be a part of the show. Bitchface's smug arrogance, quite prominently displayed in the last few episodes, only intensified my distaste for the turn the show has taken. Too many totally bullshit things happened, beginning with LVP's agreement in the last episode to have the party at her home with the caveat that stasshole and bitchface not be invited...then totally capitulating when the inevitable happened. I would have much preferred to have the drama of the episode be the forced expulsion of the two skags followed by katie's equally inevitable meltdown...The transition from Villa Rosa to SUR happened so quickly, I totally missed it and almost thought they were still at LVP's place when the rest of the stupidity went down. I have, however, absolutely no interest in watching the episode again to see exactly what happened when. FI and Ariana were the saving graces by virtue of the comic relief they provided. Another remarkable piece of bullshit was the manner in which stasshole gets told off by two different guys in two different episodes, (with unbelievably similar wording) leading to stasshole's tearful 'apology' and the capitulation of each guy to welcoming her back. ...insert pukeface emoji... Jax is simply too pathologically gross for words. His ability to tell LVP to shut up and NOT lose his job was proof positive that the entire season was nothing but a sick joke. Although I find the antics of muppetdj and lalapahloser mildly entertaining, in spite of their various sociopathic behaviors, this show has ceased to have any appeal for me whatever. So sorry I wasted however many hours of my life I spent viewing it.
  22. TY, dustylil. Figures that I would finally see one all the way through when there will be no more to come for a while. At least it gives me something to look forward to for the next season/series
  23. I don't consider kimmie to be doing me any harm whatever - she is far too insignificant for that....my reason for having negative feelings toward her comes from her own behaviors, as seen on TV (to borrow a phrase) and, most importantly, from the fact that she relentlessly demands that everyone view her as 'sober', as having spent years working on her 'sobriety' and/or in 'rehab', believe all the lies about her arrests etc, and has been nasty and aggresive/assaultive toward anyone and everyone who dares to challenge her absolute sobriety or suggest she may simply be a bit 'altered'. If kimmie wants to drink/drug/whatever, she's welcome to it, fine by me...(I love the occasional teeny buzz from my vodka or wine; but when I choose to do it, I neither hide it nor worry about it, and my recollection of events ALWAYS fits perfectly with the opinions of those around me whose regard I respect) - just stop lying about it...if she is so locked into the lies, bravo needs to get her the fuck off my tv....
  24. I have no idea what the episode number is, but last night I watched the one entitled 'The Doctor is Out' - or words to that effect and I loved it. Now, I have to go back and try to watch the rest of the season as I think this may have well been episode 5 and I have only seen bits and pieces of the preceding 4...what makes it worse is that in the boonies where I live, there is apparently NO way to view previous episodes of the current season unless I go onto amazon and purchase each one individually....bummer.
