  1. It boggles the mind that Jack Pearson could have raised three kids who consistently put their own needs ahead of their partners'.
  2. This new format of assigning each baker a theme AND a flavor is disappointing. It really limits their opportunities for creativity. I would rather they stick with assigning a theme and letting the bakers choose what flavors they want to incorporate.
  3. It bugs that I know more about Tammy than I do about Wendy. Glad to hear she'll only be around for one more episode.

    S02.E06: Dosed

I agree that Athena's kids accepted Bobby awfully quick. I also think if Bobby is going to be treated as a family member, Michael's partner should be as well. Yet he hasn't been seen and not mentioned at all this season.
  5. I have the same question. Are we to believe Toby and Kate have been married for a year in these episodes? Yet each September, they have a birthday. Very confusing.
  6. I wish it would be Lily. She's the only "main" character with no redeeming qualities and the actress is quite possibly the worst on television. Unfortunately, that will never happen.
  7. John Stamos was on GMA this morning discussing his upcoming arc as Joe's therapist. He asked the audience who had seen the show. Not a single hand went up.
  8. Well, she has a few lines here. Maybe it really is just spackle and makeup. She was rocking that crazy outfit!
  9. Thanks. We watched the 2nd episode and we're definitely out. The character relationships don't make sense, and much of what we are shown just doesn't ring true. I wonder if this is why the commercials tell you what you are supposed to feel. If the show evoked emotion, that wouldn't be necessary. Side note: I looked up the actress who plays Delilah because her accent was so obviously not American, I wanted to know where she was from (France).
  10. If they retcon Roseanne's death after retconning Dan's, that will be too much absurdity even for this show.
  11. She looked AMAZING in Book Club. I think John Goodman's hair color on the show also looks weird and different, contributing to the overall different look. He was on GMA yesterday and will be on Kelly & Ryan this morning. I almost thought a different actor was playing Harris. Her hair color is much lighter than last season.
  12. I want a Wendy storyline, too! I've been telling Mr Jillybean this for the past couple of weeks. Now that they finally acknowledge that they've become an ensemble cast, they owe her a storyline.
  13. That probably did happen, but that wasn't Meredith's blind date. It was a guy with the same first name as her blind date who was at the same restaurant for his own blind date. *eyeroll* Her original date probably knew and was fine with her being a single mom, but she blew him off.
  14. This episode has been sitting on my DVR since it aired. I haven't been too inclined to watch it after finding the pilot extremely meh at best. I've read much of this thread trying to figure out if it's worth giving it one more episode. I still can't tell. Would anyone like to weigh in?
  15. Yeah, she mentioned in a previous ep this season that she's lost 40 lbs, which was surprising because she doesn't look any different.
  16. All I caught was "Where are the white guys who like women with big butts?" or something to that effect.
  17. I was also wondering this, along with the dog.
  18. The West Side Curmudgeon is Ross 10 years after Rachel left him for good and his friends all moved on with their lives. My husband kept asking what happened to Debra Messing's face. I didn't know what to tell him. Jack's storyline was amusing considering how much makeup Sean Hayes wore throughout last season.
  19. IIRC, she told Toby the doctor wants to talk about adjusting his meds. Which would imply that either Toby is taking meds at that point in time, or Kate thinks he is.
  20. Co-signed, and the actor's painfully wooden delivery makes her even more unbearable. She isn't snarky, she's downright rude, unpleasant, and unfunny.
  21. I think Ethan is in trouble. First he told Peach Joe was at the fair, then he told Beck where Joe lives. Joe is not going to appreciate the lack of boundaries. Although I was surprised on both counts that Ethan was even provided with this information.
  22. Thanks for the clarification. I was dozing off while watching, so I'm planning to go back and re-watch to see what all I missed!
  23. Slightly off-topic, but have you read Chrissy Metz's book? I read it recently, and although I can't relate to her at all, it made me like CM more. I still don't like Kate, and I can't figure out if it's the way she is written, or portrayed or both. Chrissy is much more likeable than Kate! I haven't seen it mentioned yet, though I may have missed it, but we were shown in S2 that Rebecca was on a (blind?) date with someone else earlier on the night she met Jack. She was out with him, wasn't feeling it, said she needed to go sing, and went to the open mic thingy where she met Jack. It was amazing to me that she could be out with someone else, sing at an open mic, and go to a carnival all in the same night -- and then have a guy be waiting for her at home. I couldn't recall what the guy she had been on the date with looked like and if it could be the guy waiting for her, or if this is someone else. FWIW, the guy didn't look anything like Matt Czuchry to me.
  24. That was definitely Constance Zimmer. I recognized her instantly, and her name was in the end credits. What I couldn't figure out was why she had a throwaway, one-line part. If she were playing a main character, I'd be more interested.
