All three of them were a higher caliber than we normally see on these shows. I have a feeling we’ll see Joshua again, maybe on Best Baker in America or wherever they regurgitate these people.

They looked amazing but the flavor combo was a little questionable IMO - fruitcake, butterscotch filling with fruit pieces, and raspberry meringue. I can’t even imagine how that would taste, but I’m thinking not good.

Is it weird that two of the three finalists got actual Food Network series, and the winners of Next Food Network Star are barely ever heard from again?

The Paul/Johnny combo is weird. It’s like they’re both competing to be the “sexy bad boy.”

So Christian basically just stole Lindsay’s concept. He should have been honest and just called it “Crazy Creations.” I think all of their concepts are too limiting. Plus Guy already goes all those places on Diners Drive-ins and Dives (delis, BBQ places). None of these shows are needed. I do like Zane. Rashad is so awkward he makes me uncomfortable.

Joe has found two idols and has survived vote after vote. If he makes it to the end, he would be able to make a great case and possibly win if there were enough non-bitter jury members.

What do Chrissy and Cole think happened to the idol that was buried under the tribe flag? Was that ever addressed?

I’m ready for the host to just start saying, “And this week you will be ruining your dessert with... (insert ingredient)!” It’s too bad they don’t at least have the option of using the twist ingredient in a way other than taste. Like to make it more moist, or rich, or whatever. Instead of trying to come up with a way to combine mint and sweet potato flavors. Gross.

I thought 90 minutes was too long for two people to make 12 hand pies. That’s barely even a challenge! Sorry but egg nog doesn’t “go” with anything IMO. I almost gagged when that one guy made a chocolate-orange-eggnog cookie. I bet the last minute eggnog ruined all those desserts.

Nobody seems very concerned about the JP and Ashley “power couple” apparently. It wasn’t even mentioned.

I think she is as fake as they come. Even her stories about her “granny” seem contrived at this point.

I think maybe Brandon’s look won just because it’s pink and would look good in the breast cancer ad (or whatever they’re doing with this editorial look).

She couldn’t even measure a teaspoon, so I don’t blame them.
