In a way, a TIA is the perfect medical issue to use to get out of something because it really leaves no effects. It happens. It's scary as hell then it's gone. Faking something like say, Cancer is more complicated.

Lymphoma, the lymph nodes swell. My MIL had NHL and died 20 years ago. Lymphoma can effect the body anywhere and everywhere and one of the main signs is swelling or inflammation of the lymph nodes. My husband has had dozens of MRI, CR and PET scans. he has no clue which is which. he can't have MRI's anymore. Im just watching now as I have been at Epcot for the Food an wine festival all day.

The first time I heard about this yesterday the facebook feed said that Kim could not talk or move. The article said that she experienced a TIA but was OK now. I immediately realized the headlines were sensationalized. I've been to the ER quite a few times, myself or husband and one of us has taken a pic, so no. Because they come and go. I'm telling you wierdest thing. I was sitting on my couch and my right side just went. I had to be carried to the car. By the time we got to the hospital I was fine. It lasted maybe 20 minutes. They gave me tests, kept me overnight, sent me home. They day after I got home it happened again. Once again I was fine by the time I got to the hospital. To make a long story short, I am HIV pos and the meds I take weakened and enlarged my heart, so I have cardiomyopathy. This caused the TIA's . Since the treat the cardiomyopathy with Atenolol and Fosinopril, I don't need blood thinner. Although I have a vague recolection of maybe taking Plavix for a little while Bottom Line, you can have a scary messed up TIA and be fine 20 minutes later

I was born in 1970 and that was what my hair looked like until maybe 85. 80-82 had pretty flat hair, although often with had Farrah bangs. Look at Mallory's hair in the first few seasons of Family Ties, or eve Ariels hair in Footloose(1984), which was right around the time hair was starting to get bigger. It looks a lot like the girls on this show . It was around the time of Madonns's ascent that big hair really got popular. Everyone wanted to look like her. And some of us had flat hair and just could not do the big hair thing. I managed it in the mid-late 80's but it was tough. I have the perfect hair for this era, but the wrong hair for the late 80's

I had TIA's in 2002 and I don't take blood thinners. I had the exact same sympotoms of as Kim. Total los of movemen ton one side. They only lasted a short time.I have absolutely no ill effects from them. I had 2. Transient Ischemic Attack . It is not an actual stroke,but it can be a precurser to a real one

I figured it out. Brooks and the gang are all faking the entire thing with the full knowledge and even help of Bravo. Bravo helped cooked up the story, including the Brooks is lying storyline. Brooks and the HW's have known this all along, and they are all playing their parts Some are better at acting than others. Bravo gave Brooks a nice check for doing it and he used the money to move to Florida . Or maybe I watched too much Unreal..

Thanks :) I too am inspired by may of the women on this board You post caused me to have a revelation. I am bother by the questioning of Brooks cancer, yes, but it's not what really bothes me about this. IT is the way every thing he or Vicki say about his treatment is critiqued and analyzed that bother me. How dare he stop chemo! How dare he stop a treatment! How dare he not see that awesome doctor someone recommeded. How dare he use alternative meds! How dare he talk about getting one treatment one month and a different one the next! How dare he not remember exactly when he did eachtreatement! If I had cancer I would do this. If I had cancer I wouldn't do that. It's not just whether or not he has cancer that on trial. It's that every single medical choice he made(or pretended to make) was up for debate. Thank god I am not around these ladies in real life because they would question the hell out of every choice I made
