People change their minds about treatment options all the time. There is nothing weird about it. And maybe initially he was hoping it would put him in remisission, but later realized it would not, but it could still help him get healthier in general. Sorry but none of his back and forth on treatments and options is weird to me. I've done it myself. I also agree with the poster above me who said that it's possible that Brooks went into remision but they lied about that for a storyline.

I swear like a drunken,... Marine. I just try not to do it aroud people I do't really know. This thing is just in such poor taste for Bravo. I guess they really do have no lines they won't cross. This has consumed the show from about the halfway point. It's just tasteless. I also feel like a lot of it is done for drama. I think a lot of inconsistant statements are because of them screwing with timelines. I also see nothing strange in him not being on chemo , than being on it. I dropped meds say I was "done". I changed my mind later on and went back on them. I changed meds often. I also have a husbands who is sick. He had an Aortic dissection with a ton of complications. He can't even remember the things that are wrong with him or the meds he is on. He can't remember when things happened, or who treated him for what. When he needs those details he asks me, or calls me in to explain to the doctor. it happened last month. I was out in the car doing school work and Hubby called me in to the doctors office because the doctor wanted to ask me questions. I would also bet that my hubby could not tell you the name of a single med I have ever taken. He also started 2 new ones last month, and no way does he know what they are called. I know every med I ever took, but I could not tell you when I took them. Last summer my meds failed. I' m sure I told a few people when it happened and even told them some lab numbers. I couldn't tell you now exactly what month it was or what my lab numbers were, so I would probably guess and say July, with a tcell of 135... Might have been June or August though, and that tcell count might have been 125. If one of my friends were keeping close tabs, I guess that I might appear "inconsistant" .

I leave for Europe on October 4th for 6 weeks. Copenhagen, Paris, Loire Valley(booked a chateau for 2 nights) , Paris, Amsterdam, and 4 weeks in the UK with 2 weddings to attend. Because life is for living, and they have doctors in Europe too. Going to the doctor sucks. It never gets better. I go as little as I can. I hate seeing new ones. Hate it. My current doctor is moving to an office an hour away and I will go there because I am comfortable with her. I trust her ,and I am more than a bunch of numbers on a lab sheet, and a diagnosis to her. I'm a person to her. With a new doctor I am just a disease again Do you really feel like she sees any of them, aside of maybe Tamra, as more than coworkers? I'm not even sure that I buy Tamra as a friend. Tamra sure doesn't act like one. These are people she is contractually obligated to be around Because Production doesn't want them too? Or if they do call her out, they don't air it.

I'm suprised no one called him out on calling a PET scan "labs" because techincally it's not ,and you don't go to a lab for it. When my doctor hands me prescriptions they are scripts, but when she hands me anything else we both says labs. If she hands me blood work and an order for a chest Xray, she will say labs.Techinially the Xray is not. Just nipping that in the bud before someone points out that a PET is not actually a lab. We don't know he didn't thank them, do we? I mean we know he didn't explain why he didn't go, but that doesn't mean, he didn't say thanks. And I don't think Brooks even asked Shannon for help. I think Vicki did. He doesn't own her an explanation if he didn't ask for help. If he did then, yes, cuz, manners.

Guess Im a fool then because I wouldn't go. I am happy with my doctors.

There was a murder case recently that involved a woman who claimed to have cancer, among other things. I can't remember the details. Yes, it does happen.

I think he stopped in around January and this was filmed in April. I get brooks choice. At it's base, treatment for HIV. Is techniacally chemotherapy. I have been on meds most of the time since 1997. I have spent countless days puking into my toilet. I gained 30 pounds at the start. I was taking 42 pills a day for years. We won't talk about what the meds can do to your bowels. In 2002 I had mini strokes and developed Cardiomyopathy and had congestive Heart failure. now we know it's very likely that, the meds that keep me alive, did major damage to my heart. Luckily todays meds are better. At one point, I just couldn't do it anymore. I knew the possible consequences and against medical advice. I stopped HAART(taking my meds) I spent 8 or 9 months just doing things I thought would make me healthier. I probably would have gone for resveratrol had it been an option. Bottom line. It was my choice. Sometimes the treatment is just not worth it. Sometimes quality of life is better than quantity. Many many people have questioned my medical choices, and everyone is an expert. Brooks has the right to make his own choices. None of them have a clue what he is going through. If Brooks wants to stop all treatment and die, that is his right. You can be damned sure that I would be OK with making that decision myself if I felt my treatment wasn't working or was worth the cost. Is Brooks lying? Maybe. But how many people watching this crapfast may now look at the next person and question their status? There are some Idiots out there. And if Brook IS lying I will be furious at him. But frankly, I'd rather give the benefit of the doubt to one person who is lying about cancer then open the door to question people who are legitimately sick. I am just not going to go there if there is even a slim chance that Brooks is sick.

You would probably go to a radiation department, or an imaging center. I don't know if he is showing the order, or the results. I get my orders in hand, but I never have copies of results

I'm sorry, but that's this is bull. I'm editing my post because I'm too angry. Vicki called Shannon, probably upset. I don't doubt that she probably in some words asked for help, but in her state she probably does not remember exactly what was said. And there is nothing cursory about seeing another doctor. Brooks is under no obligation to due so. And how dare she tell Vicki "prove it". Sharing that you have a disease publically does not mean you must share every detail. I have publically shared that I have AIDS. Does that mean that I am required to tell you what drugs I take? Are you entitled to know all of my doctor's names. Am I required to post my tcell count and Viral load now? Would you like an updated avator photo of me so that you can judge how sick I am?

Well guess what, If you call my infectious disease doctor to ask if they do PET scans, they will say no. That's because they gove you an order to get a PET scan and you go somewhere else. I think in this case it is probably true. I just think in general you have to be really careful believing the Daily Mail or any other gossip mag. They are right.... But only 50% of the time.. The other thing is, often when the celeb , or someone related does try to set the record straight, no one will publish it. Nowdays you will see them not bothering and denying on Twitter or something

I know some celebs, and have had contacts with others, including some who have had rumors about them in the Daily Fail(Since most are British). Most of them are advised not to respond to rumors and such. When they do, it often just adds fuel to the fire anyway. And there can be a LOT of rumors, and they just aren't going to respond to most. They don't need to and don't have to. Of course it does mean that you have the right to believe that a rumor is true. And the Daily Mail is called the Daily Fail for a reason In one example, I have met a celeb a few times who was rumored to be having and affair with Catherine Zeta Jones... This was in the 90's. It was untrue , but it caused a lot of damage. I'm not sure if it was the Daily Fail who reported it, but that's most likely

Ok, I can see a point here. Thanks for that. But again even with due diligence an research people may still very well end up with false hope, or giving other false hope. I suggest googling Christine Maggiore. She was a famous AIDS denialist. She genuinely believed that AIDS didn't exist at all. She wrote a book about it and formed an organization. The Foo Fighters pimped her out at concerts. They promoted things like ,AIDS being caused by drug addiction or bad foods etc. so If you test positive then eat healthy and drink Essiac tea, etc etc. Christine Maggire died of AIDS related complications, but not before her little daughter died of the same thing. Many people probably died or were infected because of her, and because the damned Foo Fighters promoting her. Desperate people will believe anything. I've been there myself and it's not pretty There are a lot of people out there who have claimed to have been helped by Resveratrol. So whether or not Brooks is actually using it isn't really relevent. JFTR, I have gone against medical advice many times. That's just it. It's advice. In the end its your body, your life and your choice.
