  1. It IS a lovely town. It is a somewhat wealthy suburb of New Haven but is also centrally located enough to allow you to work in Middletown or heck Hartford and live there. (not everything has to relate to NYC just because we're the next state over). Since the dividing line between Yankees/RedSox love-hate is some where around Meriden, it's understandable his dog's name is Jeter!
  2. My husband and I (both more than 40-somethings!) are really loving this show! IDK - maybe reminding us of our youth? Anyway, we don't look very deep to thing about whether it's realistic, just taking it for the cuteness that ensues.
  3. I saw it as Larry saying that just because Ryan plopped himself in a lawnchair next to him after Larry had been outside with Bentley, he (Ryan) wasn't going to suddenly dictate what Bentley "needed" to do. Bentley looks like he has a pretty good arm! Even so, practice doesn't have to be 100% PRACTICE it can be having a little fun in the backyard. 1) I think the majority of the people in Bentley's life do NOT know the effect of talking about life in front of their young kids have (has?) on them. "Little pitchers have big ears". We've seen it in season's past - the fighting in front of Bentley between Maci and Ryan. Children are so much smarter than we give them credit for sometimes. So because of that, Bentley knows the tension, he knows how Maci feels about Ryan and Ryan about Maci and I'd bet his loyalty and love resides with his mother. Maybe he's acting out in solidarity towards his mother. Who knows. 2) Ryan shows up for his appointed time for a TV appearance and so his son who is being raised by his mother and his grandparents should drop everything to do what daddy wants? First, he (Bentley) is so aware of the camera and second, he's a typical 5 year old who refuses to do what someone wants him to do. So Ha! That's not gonna happen! I saw that more as a "Not in front of Bentley!" look. She was kind of looking at Bentley's head when she said it. I wonder if they (Larry and Jen) keep their thoughts about Ryan behind doors and avoid talking or arguing about Ryan's behavior in front of Bentley.
  4. I just watched the Aftershow and all I can say is WTF?????? These people - aside from Sarah and Jordan - are crackers jack crazy!! OMG I wanted to smack Johnny and his friendship schtick. And Nia? she just needs to really shut up. Don't even try to justify your behavior or lead us to believe you are maturing or learning from your mistakes in any way. Johnny seems like the sort that will just be all "hurt" to try and bait someone into apologizing or something. Very Wes-like.
  5. I was practically cheering when, in response to Brandi's standard "but I apologiiiiiizzzeddddd what do you want me to doooooo?", Lisa told her to THINK BEFORE SHE ACTS! Woohoo. Thank you thank you Lisa VP for NOT accepting her apology, standing firm and telling her like it is. PLEASE PLEASE tell me that was Brandi's nightie and NOT her dinner outfit???
  6. Actually, it was before she fled the restaurant that she was telling Kim her actions were indefensible. I don't think anyone was sitting down after the glass was thrown and Kyle ran and I definitely recall Kim complaining that Kyle was never or her side and Kyle telling her that she was saying all these things and how could she (Kyle) defend her when they were sitting and arguing. And the tears - definitely real on the bus and she doesn't ever appear to be faking it to my (non-theatric) eyes.
  7. Is there a forum to discuss WWHL? I couldn't find it when I looked quickly through the shows.
  8. "Blood is thicker than water" as the saying goes! I have 2 sisters very close in age. We may have fought when we were young, but if anyone said or did something mean or nasty to one of us, we'd have each other's back. It is complicated. Haha well according to OK and STAR magazines (which I read for free at the library), there have been pictures of Belle "leaving parties" etc. in the hands of Miley Cyrus! Gigi was just somewhere (Dubai?) with 5 or 6 other young 20s getting paid to party - yes I read it in STAR! or was it OK magazine.
  9. I DVR'd this show and really like it! I missed episode 2 somehow so was really confused by the recap showing her kiss Andy but moved on and also enjoyed episode 3! Half the time I barely notice the current music but love hearing the 90s music! I'm interested to see where her shifting the future leads, if it in fact shifts (Phoebe and Courtney met anyway), and what happens with her brother and Lolly and how the waitress is relevant. If you are interested in a great book about going back in time (repeatedly), changing the course of lives (and the world) and just a really thought provoking book - read "Replay" by Ken Grimwood. It's awesome! I've read it about 5 times and one copy we kept loaning out fell apart and we had to buy another!
  10. They said it was an encore of the show -- I've searched on mtv.com and my crappy On Demand as well as the channel but can't see if it will air again. Anyone know if I can watch it somewhere? I didn't tape it, just the challenge episode.
  11. I actually started talking back to my TV when Brandi was telling everyone that the fight between her and Lisa was because of Scheana. Talk about rewriting History!! I feel like everyone is complicit in trying to make Brandi remain relevant when we all know she's not. Who talks about someone else's boobs to their father? You're a grown fucking woman - Yolanda was not amused and I appreciated that. But on the other hand, the whole "you didn't invite me to Palm Springs" "you didn't invite me to the opening of PUMP".....I really don't see them as actual "friends". But then I don't think Lisa V and Lisa R are either so that blows that theory out of the water! Overall, too much Brandi. And like someone else said -- it's a RENTAL HOUSE! Of which you've lived in about 6 in the last 3 years. Why are you having a House warming party? Oh that's right, to try and make you relevant. Not working.
  12. We really don't know that she DIDN'T say anything to them....as usual, we are at the mercy of editing. Who knows - the chub chub comment could have been the straw that broke the camels back and she gave them a reaming after it. We'll never know - until Lisa R. addresses it due to the "outrage" LOL Don't know whether I should be reading sarcasm into that comment? If not, why truthful only when it's something about Lisa? If yes, then carry on! I don't know whether it makes a difference to anyone but, Medford isn't her "hometown". She said she was born in Newport Beach CA and lived there until she was 7 and her father was transferred to Medford. Now I had to google both places and yes, if I lived for 7 years of my life in sunshine and near the water and now was uprooted to live in Medford, I'd feel a little out of place too.
  13. Different every time as in different Location! From what I recall - she blew a .14! Which then hearing her say "ooh she went to a friend's house, it's summer that' what they do" blah blah I'm thinking - it wasn't ONE glass honey! In the first look when David said "it was a tragic mistake" I laughed and thought "You're LUCKY it wasn't tragic" - and then in the actual episode he corrected him self and said it COULD have been tragic. I couldn't believe how young Kim looked in her wedding pictures and when she had Brooke. Not a bad episode overall - I zone out Brandi because she is sosososososososo irelevant. Go away Brandi.
  14. As one of three girls close in age in my family, I can accept Kyle's need for attention! As hard as parents try not to create comparisons, they have no control over the outside world. In Big Kathy's case, she obviously DID make comparisons! I appreciate that Kyle seeks it in other ways than Brandi! She leases cars and rents houses. Next week she'll have to get rid of the car and find another and I guess she'll blame that on Eddie and LeeAnn too. Was Mauricio laying on top of Kyle? I thought that's why she was saying sandwich. It thought it was kind of funny.
  15. I watch these episodes and shout at the TV. Between being aghast at her behavior and ire believing we're all being played. Are we really to believe she was in the hospital for THIRTEEN days for bronchitis/sinusitis? Or that after all that bullshit on the girls + Mehran weekend, she brings home a baby pig? I feel like we've been manipulated a little too far. I feel for the kids first because they're innocent victims and Dean second but I'm not sure how much because I don't know how complicit he is to all the storylines.
  16. Why is mehran on this "girl's trip"? my God! She doesn't stop! Blahblahblah shut the F up! Ugh - I hate myself watching this shit has got to be scripted and were being played for fools. I'd hope not because of the kids but she's so narcissistic she probably doesn't thing twice about it.
  17. I know the producers are pressed for time to fit everything in to the time frame, but I feel like we miss so much by not delving into the ancestors a little more! For example (and please don't think this is too creepy), I have an ancestry membership so I had to search for Ellis. I found the census they pulled up (1880) when he was 1 years old and his father Joseph was a dentist. The wife's parents and a brother lived with them as well. The father in law was a physician and the brother was a dentist. I'm curious how they made their way down the coast. In a quick shot of Elli's death certificate I saw he was born in Healdsburg California (I lived there!), so what was the migration down to Alameda/Oakland? I noticed in the book about early Oregonians, they said Joseph the elder was born in Connecticut. The censuses I've run across all say New York. I think an awesome story would have been his migration from NY or CT or even before that - how far back does the immigration from Europe go. That's what I always find really interesting.
  18. I have strolled over from TWOP as well (more like running, screaming when I saw "this site no longer available" the other morning). LOVE RHoNY the best and love most reading the boards after episodes.
