I don't understand why anyone would want marble for a kitchen counter. It is expensive, requires you be very careful not to spill anything with color. I want my counter tops to as bomb proof as possible

I agree. I dated a person who was the youngest of eight. Talking to him about his childhood and the older siblings, you would think they were talking about two different households.

I say the same thing--we live in a house built in 1960 and just did a major reno and found nothing. I had a brand new townhouse that was nothing but problems. I'll take an old house with updated electrical and plumbing over a new build anyday.

That cabinet color would give me a headache. I think it would have been better if they did the cabinets the blue Hilary picked out. And they gave up a walk in pantry for a small table that I bet they never use.

We just did our kitchen and while there is room for a table, we use the area as a sitting area and eat at the island
