  1. I'm so glad for the both of you, maggiemae. I definitely hope things continue to improve for you both. :) I wish I could say I respected Megyn Kelly. I do admire her guts for not allowing herself to be harassed by Ailes and now bullied by O'Reilly, but I can't say I respect her after she did her own personal best to help another man known for sexual harassment and bullying become the president by aiding the misinformation swirl and staying silent on this Trump story until after the election. Her justification for her softball interview with Trump after the primary was ludicrous.
  2. Did Jeditwofaced actually try to call Joy a hypocrite today in regards to E-MAILS, E-MAILS, E-MAILS? I only wish Joy had been quick enough on her feet to turn tables and ask her why she suddenly doesn't give a shit about security breaches after screaming about them for months? It wouldn't have anything to do with it all being complete bullshit in the first place, right? EDIT: Btw, I can't remember if it was today's show or the one before where Jedicrazy tried to put the blame on Obama if nothing is done about the Keystone Pipeline in his last two-three months, because "He's the president!" Uh...did she miss when the Republicans decided he could not nominate the Supreme Court justice after Scalia's death even though "He's the president!" and with a year still left in office at that point? Sad thing is she would probably be a prize compared to who he will hire. Whatever the reason, I thanked God we got 2 Candace-free days. We do not need two of them at the table. I have no idea why Sunny is not there everyday; yet another reason why the people running this show are idiots.
  3. If Jedi isn’t the most repulsive person in daytime, I swear. What total bullshit she spewed when Joy brought up Pence’s belief in conversion therapy—“You can believe whatever you want as long as you don’t govern that way.” Does that extend to the mayor and whoever they talked about yesterday when they said the First Lady looked like an ape in heels? I mean, her ease at disregarding hardcore hatred—evil—is just disgusting.
  4. Typical Republican swill though to cast all protestors as violent to discredit the cause. I don't think Crème Brûlée is that clever, more likely she repeats whatever distortions she heard on Fox News.
  5. I feel like both Christian and Billy have been coached very badly. Neither are as good lately as in their auditions, gradually becoming singers who shoot for high notes, lacking emotion. Which is especially bad for Christian, who doesn’t have a great range, imo, and whose greatest attribute was his tone—why is he singing a pop song? Billy can at least hit the high notes most of the time, but I wish we could get another “When We Were Young.” The song choices were atrocious for nearly all the contestants: “The Show Must Go On” for Billy, “My Church” for that guy on Blake’s team, ugh. Why are these coaches so bad at their jobs...
  6. Anyone think Jedi would jump at the opportunity to appear on Dancing With the Stars? Seems like she has a lot of delusions of grandeur.
  7. I’m glad Joy finally shutdown Candace’s idiocy about how everyone should calm down and hold hands while their rights are stripped away and black people, Latinos, Muslims, LGBT, etc. are treated like they’re subhuman. This isn’t a game of Monopoly, FFS. People aren’t protesting because they’re enraged their horse in the race lost, they’re protesting because they’re in terror about what’s about to happen to them and their families/friends/neighbors. How out of touch with reality does she have to be not to comprehend that this is not about some people being “sore losers”? Good point from Joy about the similarities between this and the past when minority groups were targeted as someone to blame in times of economic problems. And good for Whoopi telling this group of upper class white women that telling other people to wait is easy for them to do because none of this is going to affect them at all. I’m sure if Trump was coming for them, they’d have quite the different reaction. But Jedilyingliarwholies did get away with some BS spin at the beginning of the show when she tried to equate Republican obstructionism out-the-gate of Obama to how people are reacting to Trump now and not giving the man a chance. And she was smooth because se made sure to say so much after that little nugget of falsehoods that neither Joy or Whoopi got back to shutting it down. Unfortunate because the reaction to Obama was because of the color of his skin and the reaction to Trump is because the hatred he’s spewed for a year and a half. One is a trait and one is an action. Not comparable at all.
  8. This is nothing different than normal. Season 5 began with 1.8 in the premiere and ended with 1.3 by the end of 5A; 3A began with 2.6 and ended with 1.9; 2A with 3.9 to 3.1. A drop from 1.1 to .9 (or lower) is far from unexpected considering the show's gradual viewer erosion.
  9. This forum isn't really a gauge of the general fanbase, imo.
  10. Well, if I could see Jedi was trash from the first week she appeared, I'm sure a smarter person like Sunny has figured it out, too, after this long. Sunny needs to be on the show everyday more than ever so she can railroad that disgusting woman. The episode wasn't as bad as I expected considering it was Whoopi's birthday. Bernie was a good guest, but if you've seen him once, you already know what you're getting.
  11. Not surprised. The past two or three episodes were pretty bad. I didn't think it would hold onto 1.0 through the end of the fall episodes anyway, although that would've been nice.
  12. I'm not sure if anyone's responded to this already, but I think it's more likely that Zelena did this without Rumpel having any knowledge of it.
  13. Whoopi is not going to do that. Only guest I'm looking forward to is Eddie Redmayne. Not fond of the rest, although Rascal Flatts doesn't bother me.
  14. This is the first episode I’ve liked since Hyde’s last episode. Things were actually happening, finally! I loved the opening with Snow and Charming. I loved seeing the Mirror World, and Snow calling TEQ a monster. I loved TEQ and Henry’s interaction, and Belle turning to Zelena for help again. I also loved that Zelena finally got to do something this season--since the premiere, anyway--and putting a spell on Rumpel’s heart back when she had control over him made sense for the character. I’m just hoping Zelena does not die during this season’s BS storyline. At first I thought Belle was Rumpel in disguise trying to test Zelena for what she’d do. I’m glad Belle is proactive, but I’m not sure how she’d be able to get away from Rumpel in a way that he couldn’t find her? I found it a little unbelievable that Rumpel would have the Hammer of Hephaestus…. Btw, I noticed they played music throughout the beginning montage and then again at the end with Regina/Emma. I liked it the first time, but the second time made me worried this show’s about to turn into Grey’s Anatomy.
  15. She definitely looks younger than she is (if that age is true). I would've guessed somewhere from 40 to 44. How wonderful to see all the original women back together. It would be fun if every Friday they had a reunion of the various panels they've had over the years, but I know that Rosie would not return for the two panels she was a part of, so never mind. I'd like to see Meredith, Star, Joy, and Lisa back together one more time at least. Debbie wasn't as bad as I remembered. Joy looked a little teary? (Which is very rare for her.) Not sure if it was from having a blast from the past sitting with the other women, comparing that panel to what currently passes for The View, or the election still weighing on her mind. I'd take any of these three over what's currently on the roster. Why oh why can't they bring Meredith back next season if nothing else? I imagine Joy would be happy to play number 2 to her. I used to think Whoopi and Joy had a friendship, but it hasn't seemed that way this season. I personally think Whoopi just went crazy at some point during the Rosie season (maybe because of her brother, Robin Williams, or the back pain/mouth problems); age hit her at a faster pace than it did Barbara, that's for sure.
  16. I've seen it before via Netflix, but I was glad my PBS began to play it so I could re-watch. Has anyone else's local PBS aired Gypsy with Imelda Staunton? It aired last night where I am, and she gave a tremendous performance. I was surprised by how small she is; I never really got that impression on film before.
  17. I just hope they show more of/explain more of the Witch in the last episode, because that’s the part I’m most disappointed in not getting more of so far. I didn’t like this season. It’s really just been watching people die nonstop with as much gore as possible, because the few characters around long enough to even get to know aren’t likable and then you have others that are laughable (like the British character). It's definitely not scary. Asylum, Coven, and Hotel are still my favorite three. I’d put this one below Freak Show, too, because at least there was Dandy that season.
  18. Joy has never said at any time this year or before that she was moving to Canada. I wondered what the advertisement, too. They didn't talk about the riots at all, which is too bad. They got too caught up in Whoopi screaming about how everyone misinterpreted her as saying she was going to move.
  19. If Democrats didn't win the presidential election, I don't believe they'll win the midterm elections (which has always been weak for them anyway).
  20. Whoopi was actually good today. Almost made me like her again. Her response to Joy about it being a while before we can laugh again is right. It’s harder to laugh at the hatred and the absurd when it’s true. I’m so glad I’ll have Joy here to help me make it through the next 4 years. I need a couple of good people on TV to lean on now. I don’t even know how to resolve myself with my family right now who proudly voted for this. I don’t think I can ever look at them the same again. Jedi can go f*** herself.
  21. Again, Joy represents my thoughts, too. Democrats don't have any power to stop what's about to happen the next 4 years, but we still have our voices to denounce the hatred and evil that will likely be legislated. Sad to see another candidate win the popular vote and lose because of the Electoral College.
  22. It’s going to be like a funeral dirge on this show tomorrow. The only thing I can process is, like Joy said, there’s no stopping and being silenced just because the worst has happened. I just didn’t want 4 years to be spent this way. If only it had been Kasich or even Rubio/Jeb if it had to happen.
  23. Loved the Ana Navarro interview. I hate that they had both her and Padma as contributors this time last year and they ditched them. I'd definitely have preferred her at the table over Crème Brûlée and Jedilyingliarwholies. Watching her meltdowns after Jeb Bush lost and then when the Billy Bush video with Trump came out would've been fun. I laughed at Joy's reaction when she suggested Ana should run and then Jedilyingliarwholies interjected about Joy voting for a Republican if that happened. Ana's speech was wonderful, and seeing Crème Brûlée's and Jedilyingliarwholies's stone faces while she was speaking explains everything you ever need to know about who they are.
  24. No way she'll show up on The View, even a special, but how awesome it would be for her to get the last laugh.
  25. I think it's because they're actually giving her something to do besides look for books to get the plot out of the corner it's driven into.
