  1. The noise the audience made when Jedi was defending Trump again today was relieving. It's comforting that the majority of the country still see the sky as blue and not green like the Trump commentators are selling. And I loved Joy pointing out that the country just elected a know-nothing celebrity as their president. Republicans are the last group who should tell Hollywood to shut up at this point. As much resentment as I have stored up for Whoopi, she and the other 3 ladies together have been a lot of fun lately. I laughed pretty hard when Sara was talking about how she doesn't want a dog that's smarter than she is. Meanwhile Jedi sits stonily over at the side, gives a fake laugh every now and again, then reaches desperately for her mug as they go to commercial.
  2. I agree. There are days where miraculously I somehow liked Paula to a degree despite the mess she paraded as "journalism." I have never liked Jedi.
  3. Was she sad that everyone didn't want to have dinner with her? Like you said, the only person she cared about was Henry and I took it as her only being sad that the people who hated her were keeping her from her son. As for 3B, the only character I thought didn't act like a rational human being was Glinda (and the other witches) welcoming Zelena into the group and just handing her so much power immediately.
  4. I'm glad Whoopi is finally over Jedilyingliarwholies. If she can get that repulsive woman off this show, I'll forgive her everything. I noticed Jedi was stooped over in her seat, poised just like Elisabeth Hasselbeck, complete the befuddled expression on her face like she isn't knowingly playing on lies. Most commentators on "the right" know that this Planned Parenthood video Carly Fiorina invented is a lie, but it suits their agenda to repeat it as if it's true. People might get behind their destroying Planned Parenthood if they can convince them it's a baby organ seller instead of healthcare for (mostly) impoverished women. She and others like her really enjoy living in a "post-truth" world; it allows them to say anything they want without any facts or repercussions to appear to "win" any discussion. Like when she tried to say some statistic about PP "wasn't true" while simultaneously using an invented video to suit her argument.... Sue me, but I've liked Whoopi this week. The rage and bitterness is deserved, and I have no sympathy for Jedi receiving it all. She has no scruples. And her cowardice has been on display more than ever because she's always quick to disown the hatred she brings to the table everyday. Her trying to defend a doctor's "right to discriminate" earlier this week was probably the worst moment of many. She is disgusting.
  5. The dialogue when she was telling Regina to do it says she did. She played on Regina's hope that Cora would actually love her instead of see her as an object. Of course, the following episode when she smacked Geppetto and how it was painted like she was falling down a dark path was stupid. (Although I personally don't see what Geppetto did as wrong anyway, Snow's first reaction was understandable.)
  6. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that Whoopi’ll run Jedi’s ass off the show. I can’t stand that disgusting woman. What she tried to call “reverse McCarthyism” is really just people showing their opinions with their wallets. If you’re afraid you’re going to lose some of your consumers, that’s on you to decide to be silent or not. Consumers are not obligated to support your acting work, music, etc. And, no, I wouldn’t support anyone who endorses hatred. For example, Jackie Evancho and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, I will never purchase anything of theirs again. Sorry, that’s the way the business rolls. I’m not giving my money to people who support evil. That’s not the same as employers blacklisting people so their livelihoods are ruined. I was glad Whoopi steamrolled her intentional, deliberate nonsense. Did anyone hear her little aside when Joy pointed out that Trump doesn’t support ethics, that he only said that he’d dismantle the “unfair” commission at a later time. “I didn’t take it that way though.” It doesn’t matter which way you “take it,” those were his words. She's a professional liar if there ever was one.
  7. Re-watching the first two seasons made me remember why I don't share majority views here. I didn't really see the lasagna scene as heavy-handed--although Henry later going berserk over Emma lying, definitely**--and I didn't really mind that they gave Snow a dark spot because of killing Cora because they framed it as being wrong not because she put a murderer to death, but because she explicitly did it in a way to get revenge (twisting the knife into Regina by having her put Cora's heart back in her chest). The re-watch made me realize how Rumbelle moved at the speed of light in S2. Prior to 2's premiere, Belle was just someone who served for Rumpel briefly before disappearing (locked in Regina's tower) after Rumpel rejected her. Suddenly when they reunite in S2, they acted like they had been in a long-term relationship. My hate for Milah and especially Neal was reignited. As much as I can't stand Rumpel, it is really satisfying watching him take down Hook in the flashbacks. I couldn't help noticing how ironic Rumpel's speech to Regina about not being able to have everything was, knowing the role reversal of that speech that would come in the last episode of 4A. **I honestly think it's hilarious how they got fantastic child actors for nearly every single child character on the show except for the one who's a main character (Henry). I mean, young Snow, Pan, young Baelfire, young Emma/Lily, young Pinocchio, Hansel & Gretel are all decent to great.
  8. So glad to have Joy back, and I'm hoping Sunny will be there everyday from now on, too. Of course Jedi and Sara both went feral in response to Sunny holding Jedi responsible for her words: "SHE DIDN'T SUPPORT TRUMP!" Really? I seem to recall her defending him regularly nearly every day. Jedi seems to like re-writing history just as much as our president-elect.
  9. Personally, I'm looking forward to the new episodes. I just hope they're a little better than the last two seasons, which didn't hold a candle to the first 5, imo. Count me in as someone who hated the finale. I couldn't stand that Grace ended up with Leo, ugh. I could at least understand the separation between W&G, even if I didn't really care for it either. I won't feel too bothered if it's retconned.
  10. That's why WGWGs will eventually take over The Voice. Alisan's win surprised me because I had thought it was already at that point for The Voice, just like Idol in its later years.
  11. I agree. I like Obama, but I wish he hadn't said that. Although, tbh, I think it's true only because the African American community mobilized to a larger degree behind him than they did Hillary, which probably would've made the difference. Still, the sexism that's pervaded the Democratic Party both during the Primary--where Sanders was treated like a saint and Hillary as somehow just as evil as Trump--and post-election--with Biden-Obama-Bernie all being paraded as people who could've beat Trump where Hillary failed--is incredibly disappointing. I wish Joe Biden had run this year (and lost, if that was meant to happen regardless, since I'm not much of a Biden fan, tbh) with Hillary running in 2020 after the e-mails nonsense was long-dead and without having to face the Obama backlash that was likely in 2016.
  12. Stupid question, but shouldn't there be an even split between Democratic/Republican electors per state?
  13. I don't like Adam, but I don't like Blake either. I was glad to see Adam lose in S7 after he screwed over Damien--but I thought CWB was worse than Sundance.
  14. For some reason, I imagined it might be Barbara. Barbara would be the type to bitch about the food not being on time. But it's more likely a non-celebrity. No way Elisabeth would go to a party thrown by Joy and if she did, she'd probably sit in a corner looking stiff and uncomfortable and not speaking to anyone.
  15. I loved Adam Wakefield. Too bad Sundance couldn't have been the one to lose to Alisan last year and Wakefield had won this year....
  16. I don't expect to see most of them again (in anything high profile). Goodwin in a Zootopia sequel might be it.
  17. So Jedi's now arguing against the CIA and the Constitution in order to support Trump. More evidence she's not a Libertarian for the pile.
  18. Stupid, but not really malicious.
  19. I thought Hairspray Live! was a decent turn and Jennifer Hudson was the absolute star of the show, as I knew she would be. In other news, a former pre-finals contestant from season 6 just won The Voice last night. Gotta say, I'm glad Idol gave the world the wonderful Jordin Sparks and left Sundance for The Voice...
  20. At least the Kelly performance was great. Didn't care for the rest. I'm glad Billy came 2nd, although I'd rather We won if he was going to lose. Oh, well. I'll never see Sundance again anyway.
  21. I remember thinking at the time that KAC's presence might be why Whoopi was so bitchy today. Don't blame her one bit and I hope she's not any nicer than she was the last time whenever KAC does appear.
  22. I don't know, I thought that particular conversation was more about power, and how women often diminish themselves by constantly saying sorry at the drop of a hat. I thought Joy was a little too mocking of Sunny with the shrink comment, but at least most of the time she intends things as a funny jab rather than hateful shutdowns like Whoopi and Joy always ends the conversation smiling with the others. Although, yesterday, when Sunny was giving Jedi the smackdown on her previous comments (since Jedi must think they exist in a different universe every morning, where nothing she's said will ever be brought up again after she contradicts herself on any particular day to win an argument), that Joy had this grin on her face like she was eating it up. Jedi's nonstop fake laughs meant to make herself fun and amiable get on my nerves, just like bringing up the fact that she's a cougar whenever a guest says they're dating someone young, or dancing her way to the table like she's the star, ugh. Just don't like this woman. And I don't believe for a second that Jedi didn't vote for Trump, as Sara said. I'm not really surprised she'd lie about it, considering the whole Libertarian snare is intended to avoid any criticism despite the fact that she spends her time defending Trump on nearly every topic. Like I said earlier, I didn't understand a word of Whoopi's gibberish on the religion in schools topic. At first I thought she was arguing on Jed's side with "You can't take the Christ out of Christmas," but then she diverged into how they should have Hanukkah decorations and Kwanza decorations, etc. So I really had no idea what she was saying. Just hot air and nonsense. And her pissiness with Sunny is back. Oy vey. I actually liked her with the other three this past month, but I knew she'd revert eventually.
  23. I'm looking forward to seeing Billy and Kelly Clarkson sing "It's Quiet Uptown." Hopefully they do a great job.
  24. I consider it a good season if I like one or two people. This year, I liked Billy, Christian, and Belle. We and Courtney were okay. I didn’t really enjoy any of the performances in the finale though. All the original songs were bad and I generally hate most of the coach-contestant duets in this show’s history (minus a couple of Christina's--"The Prayer" with Chris Mann and "You've Got a Friend" with Alisan), and tonight was no exception. Not a fan of Sinatra, personally, so I wish Billy had got something better to sing. We definitely couldn’t reach Streisand on DROMP. I wish We could’ve performed her duet song solo, because Alicia ruined it. I’ll be honest that I don’t like Sundance. As some would say about Billy, he's technically good, but I’m not a fan. At this point, I’d even take Josh over Sundance. The one comfort is that, as usual, no matter who wins, nobody becomes a star. *shrug* I think the show wants Billy to win so that Blake and Adam are tied, which will create more drama for future seasons on who will break the tie.
  25. Off the top of my head and in no particular order: When Mary Margaret is crying not knowing what she did, that she’s innocent and Regina reaches out and holds her face in “Stable Boy.” Also the very ending in the flashback when Regina realizes Snow told Cora, and she turns away—just her face really showed the mental breakdown. Then cut to her in the present looking batshit holding Daniel’s ring repeating, “We got her…!” Rumpel’s “Everything has a price, including…wasting my time” to Snow White when she was tricked into thinking she had Excalibur. Emma’s “I’m not nothing, I’ve never been nothing” in Nimue. Cora’s “This would have been enough” and then Regina lashing out at Rumpel afterwards in “Miller’s Daughter.” The cliffhanger to “Going Home” Dark Swan scaring Regina out of her house, telling her to try being the Savior. Hades and Zelena’s present day scene at the end of “Our Decay” Emma not letting Hook die at the end of the Camelot flashbacks. Almost any Cruella moment. She is the only thing worth watching 4B for. Ingrid at the end of “Shattered Sight” when Anna brought the letter. Ariel stabbing Regina in the neck with a fork. Rumpel saying “Please” to Regina in one of the first episodes of S1. Emma cutting down Regina’s apple tree. Emma punching Regina in “The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter.” Belle forcing Rumpel to leave town at the end of 4A. I just thought it was done well, with Rumpel MUAHAHAing, then cut to Belle standing there with the dagger, and then it was completely silent. When Zelena reveals herself to Rumpel in “Heart of Gold.” Hook asking for a kiss from Emma in 3A; I can’t quite remember the episode. After David asks Mary Margaret if she killed Kathryn, she tells him to get away from her. I hated David so much in S1 (and I'm still not very fond of him outside of his interactions with Hook and how attractive the actor is) which mad it a fantastic moment. Hercules and Young Snow kissing. Baelfire and Hook’s flashback scenes in the S2 finale. Ariel slaps Hook in “The Jolly Roger.” Her brief cameo in “Poor Unfortunate Souls” is great, too. Rumpel choosing to let Emma and Hook go in the S3 finale. (I find that finale boring outside the Rumpel scenes, actually.) Ingrid entering the World Without Magic. Ingrid threatening Rumpel at the end of one of the later 4A episodes. Anna outsmarting Rumpel at the end of “The Apprentice.” Snow’s “I…was…TEEEENNN!!!” in “Shattered Sight.” The conversation between Regina and Rumpel in the car in “Heroes and Villains.” EDIT: I forgot when Emma essentially said in 3A that she wish Neal had stayed dead. Neal hater here, loved that moment.
