  1. I didn't even watch face off and still enjoyed these reviews. I'm very happy she's going to be reviewing something I watch
  2. Rags to Riches!! I only have vague memories of the show because we didn't have cable so I only watched it if it was on while I was at a friend's house. But I definitely remember the movie and their rendition of "Hey Mister Postman". It was fabulous. I would watch the neck out of that if it ever came out
  3. Add me to the list of those that can't believe that big shot ex husband didn't have a plan to pay for college. And who cares if he just bought a house. Presumably he knows how old his daughter is and that it's time for college. Maybe he should have held off that purchase. That's just a really did plot line. Also, please send Nicki to California. Or Siberia. Grandpa can go live with her.
  4. Their exchange went something like, "My name is Adalind." "My name is for me to know and you to find out." At least that's basically how I heard it.
  5. What is the story of that judge on Cary's case? I mean why is he such an asshole all the time. He's constantly yelling and pissed off. I know that most of the judges on this show have some kind of quirk, and I usually like them or at least don't mind them. But this guy is just angry all the time and it's getting very annoying to watch. I'm about one or two scenes away from fast forwarding him. He's horrible.
  6. I could be way off here, but when I saw that, I didn't think she was cringing. I thought she was closing her eyes so that Octopus Guy couldn't see that she was a Grimm.
  7. Because I know nothing about anything, I had to Google (ChumHum?) Eiffel Tower and it showed a high five, not kissing. Then, I cleared my browser history.
  8. Re: The woman (Ellie?) who may or may not be a future love interest for Steve: That's not really her, right? Like, she's faking her identity. Because there is no way that that dark-haired, vaguely Asian looking teenager grew up to be the blond/reddish-haired Nordic woman claiming to be Ellie in present day. OK, that's a joke, but, seriously. They couldn't find a teenage Australian that looked even a little bit like the grown woman? It was distracting.
  9. I'm not loving this whole love quadrangle thing that's going on. Also, the preview for next week said "returning soon". Does anyone know what that mean?
  10. I think that Danny is going to start feeling bad about shooting that guy, but, in my opinion, Steve should just tell him that as long as that guy was alive, Grace was in danger, and Danny should be like, "welp, OK then." Not that it's great to shoot someone point blank but if you're going to do it, that guy was a good choice. He was super bad and he would be a constant threat to Grace. I think Danny did the right thing. (Also, I still miss Catherine. I may be the only one, but I don't care. I love her and I liked her and Steve. And, I wish she was still around being awesome.)
  11. Where I live in Canada, if there is a double 't' in the middle of the word, it isn't really emphasized. I don't think it's dropped all together, but the 't' sound isn't a hard 't', it sort of gets caught in the back of your mouth to the point where you don't really hear it. I actually worked with a guy who really emphasizes the 't' sound in the middle of the word, and it is noticeably different from how everyone else speaks to the point where I wonder if he didn't have speech therapy as a child. So, maybe, dropping 't's is a regional thing because here, it is just how you pronounce words. Thursday's episode featured the woman who rented the U-Haul for her niece and the niece got in an accident. The aunt who rented the truck was made out to be as much of a victim in this because of the way her niece bailed on her. But, I got the impression that the aunt wasn't exactly innocent in this. She seemed pretty shady and I don't doubt that she knew that her niece shouldn't have been driving. Plus, the announcer at the beginning of the case said that the niece "stole" the U-Haul from the aunt, so it sounds like someone's story changed at some point.
  12. Oh god I hope not. I was already in the bag for this show but when I heard you say Vartan was in it, I almost ran off the road as I shouted in glee. I really hope it's true.
  13. My heart break over the Alain/Audrey loss is eclipsed only by my distaste of a Suki/Jinder win. I do not like them. I don't believe that I will ever forget the numerous legs and tasks where they expected other teams to do their work for them.
  14. Actual conversation between my husband and I during this show: Remember when these guys were elite agents ? Have they done one single thing this season they haven't fucked up? Because I can't think of one.
  15. I like Rob & Ryan fine but they should have been out. That was some horrendous decision making a the Fast Forward. Once they saw the siblings there, they should have bailed. It was a task that involved them sitting there for a predetermined among of time with no way to make up ground. If the clue had said "strip naked and pose", the siblings may have bailed from he start. But the way it played out, by the time they got to the Get Naked part, they were committed. No one was going to bail then. I find myself really cheering for Alain & Audrey. His comment about being "currently in 1st place", complete with the hand gesture to the bottom of the screen, couple with her similar comment last week about changing their caption from Dating to Engaged, just sealed the deal. They seem nice and fun and like they really love each other and they're competitive without being douchey. And I liked her excitement at showing off the ring. It was sweet.
  16. I'll start by saying that I love all the gratuitous mostly naked Gordon shots. They make me giggle and I look forward to them every episode. What I was wondering was who was the niece/server? At first I thought she was a niece of both owners which would make her the daughter of some unmentioned sibling and I wanted to know what was up with that. But then I thought heard her call the female owner Mom. Did anyone else hear that? Because I think they'd call her Daughter, not Niece on the captions,
  17. I would be 100% shocked if Michel was colour blind. If he was, he just wouldn't have done that challenge, he could have passed it to his brother. And, if they're both colour blind, I'd imagine they'd just have to take the penalty. I can't see the challenge creators altering the tasks to take into account one team's specific issues. Like mentioned above, one of the challenges Luke & Margie did required hearing. There was a challenge last season that I'm pretty sure that the brother with the steel legs couldn't do. I think that if they had contestants who couldn't eat a bunch of food, they either wouldn't cast them or make them take the penalty. It's not like workplace accommodation rules apply to the challenges.
  18. What in the actual fuck is going on? Seriously, Mike has been a total ass all season and Johnny is getting stupider every episode. At least Johnny seems to have made some forward progress by the end. The only thing Mike did is let the teen girl get raped some more and then murdered. How is this allowed to continue? Paige is going to find out and then she's going to be so pissed. Also, didn't that dad listen to that tape at the end of last season? What's he been doing since then?
  19. You know, the more I think about it, the more I don't really have a lot of sympathy for the mom here. I mean, she's comping rooms right and left and losing money like crazy, but she is the one allowing her sons to pull the shit they're pulling. If she can't even have a conversation with guests at the desk because it's so loud, tell her stupid son that these parties are not going to happen anymore. It's not like she was seeing any money from them anyway, so just cancel them. And, she could have charged the other son some rent or something for the restaurant. She did this to herself as much as anyone did it to her. She's a grown woman and she could have taken some responsibility for her decisions instead of just being a victim doormat.
  20. They've certainly done a great job of making a whole lot of characters completely unlikable in 3 short episodes. Mike is just a dick, and frankly he sucks at being in charge. It's like everything he touches fails miserably. Jakes used to be cool, now he's a drunken sad sack. If this is going to be his character arc, then just write him off the show. Johnny used to be the comic relief but he also always seemed more attached to the housemates as his "family". Now he's a pouty, angsty whiner. That's three guys who I enjoyed watching last season, even when they did go through down times. But constant down times is not something I need to see every single week. And, since it can't be said enough, Mike is the worst at being the boss. The absolute worst.
  21. The very best part of this episode was the shot of the chore wheel with the masking tape with New crossed off and Better Mike there.
  22. I'm sure Marian is eventually a goner but I assume it won't be before there is some grand Regina angst that makes me bang my head into a wall. Regarding some non-Regina/Marian speculation: I heard some speculation on the ONCE podcast about how we know (1) Elsa is coming to Storybrooke and (2) Knave of Hearts/Will Scarlett is returning to Storybrooke. And Will's true love is named Ana (Anna maybe?). And Anna and Elsa are sisters in Frozen so maybe Anna can come to Storybrooke with Will and be related to Elsa. I haven't heard a single thing about this except as wild speculation but I'm locking on to it, because I am one of the very, very few people who actually enjoyed OUATIW and watched it straight to the bitter end. And I quite liked Anna and especially Anna and Will's story and it will make me sad if Will and Anna are separated for some reason after their ending in OUATIW. Where this theory falls apart completely is that I'm pretty sure that it is established that Anna is actually one of Cinderella's step sisters so that would make Elsa and Cinderella related so that probably won't work. Unless the Anna = evil step sister was just speculation and I made it canon in my head?
  23. I got less than half way through the trailer before I became 100% committed to this. I can not wait. I think it's supposed to come on during the OUAT hiatus and I will be locked in.
  24. As someone who is staunchly child free, putting up Joelle because she wants a family is nuts. 1. Scott or whoever flat said he had kids. And Grr has 3 or so himself. He should have called that bull shit immediately. I would have loved it if he had been all, "what do you mean you can't have a family and be a good chef? Who do you think you're working for?"
  25. Electric Boogoloo: I don't think David y will be mad about the revenge. I can't remember exactly how it was worded but back in season 1 (I think) Emily read that note from him that said something about she shouldn't ruin her life finding revenge. And then he followed it up with essentially, "but if you want to, here is how y and here's who and call this guy Takeda and he will show you how." At least that's how I remember it. I could be way off base.
