  1. I'm not super up on RPDR tea, but there were also rumblings that Jinkx was a drunk mess on the tour, and that's what pushed Absolut to end its sponsorship.
  2. I thought so too! I can still hear Jason Priestly saying it that way and it still makes me cringe.
  3. I'm not sorry to see Aja go, although I do think this was her strongest runway look. Farrah was right to be happy she was safe--she's next on the chopping block unless other people underperform somehow. And I agree that this was probably the best episode of this season so far. The guest judges were fun, the challenge was good and everybody did at least OK if not great with it.
  4. Trixie's album has been bouncing around the top ten list in iTunes and was up to #2 at one point! It's at #6 while I'm writing this. https://www.apple.com/itunes/charts/albums/
  5. But this is HIS event. I assume he's already getting a cut of just about every dollar spent there. @cpcathy was he even in drag?
  6. How was it? I moved to LA last fall and had been looking forward to going but then an opportunity to go to Europe came up so that's where I was. Next year!
  7. I think Alexis deserved her win, but I wish they could have given Valentina more praise for being so original in both the Snatch Game and runway. Miss Colombia was a bit one note, but she was funny and something I never would have thought of someone doing, and the Sex Book look was just amazing (although I wonder if it translates better on camera than it did in person).
  8. Whoa, Marge Simpson would be freaking brilliant for SG if you could get the voice right.
  9. Yep, I couldn't agree more. And while there was an element of performance to it, it didn't seem like it involved too much actual creativity on the part of contestants. I wish they'd go back to more creative challenges--sure telling the contestants all the runway themes in advance produces glamorous looks but it just rewards the ones with money who can bring expensive outfits.
  10. I'm another one who is impressed with Valentina's composure in the midst of the bitchiness around her, but I also worry a little that maybe she's had some messy relationships where she learned that keeping quiet was the way to keep the peace (not projecting or anything :-/). In addition to the no-comment runway we also didn't get a video greeting from Ru at the beginning. I'm guessing that's not the first time ever but I think it's pretty rare.
  11. I'm curious as to when they film these because it sounded like they didn't know that it was a sewing challenge. Raven read Nina for her bodysuit fit which I thought looked great given how little time she had and how (I imagine) difficult that is to sew.
  12. To this end I kind of wonder if they're setting up Bobby to run for office, possibly against Chuck? One of the themes of the episode seems to be that he thought his money gave him all the power, but he doesn't have the real power of the politicians.
  13. I found it amusing that they were throwing shade at Aja in talking heads about the facetuning. I don't recall them ever talking about social media so openly, even though it's been a big part of the drag world. But it's such a huge difference I suppose it would be quite the elephant in the werk room if nobody said it. Her whole look was just so bad--poorly conceived, poorly executed. Cheyenne Jackson has never done much for me, but the darker hair and facial hair were yummy improvements. I'm surprised there wasn't more obvious flirting from the runway (even though he's a married man)!
  14. This is a really interesting point I hadn't thought about! The Greek chorus (except for maybe the principal) will probably never know who was really hurting Amabella. Although I suppose a normal school would say "We found out who did it and the student is getting help. We're watching closely but don't think it will happen again." This school would probably hold an assembly to announce Max did it.
  15. It could still be after the dust settles. Perry's death may change the way Madeline feels about Bonnie and as an extension of that make her more civil to Nathan, but I don't see how it changes her feelings towards Ed. It's an anecdote, but my sister's marriage was on the rocks when she was mugged. Her husband supported her emotionally for a few months, but then it went back to the way it was before and they still ended up divorcing.
  16. I think Reese was wearing flat slipper things (or the heels were very low) while Shalaine was wearing heels, which is swapped from their usual footwear. It furthers the effect of Reese looking extra short.
  17. I liked the Greek chorus throughout the series, but some of their comments seem so odd knowing how everything went down. Did the detectives spend hours interviewing everyone at the party? How would the Maddie/Renata thing even come up in those conversations? Another nit I had after the fact is Gordon threatening Jane. Was he following her? He didn't seem to randomly be in the coffee shop at the same time. Silly little things aside, I loved the episode and thought it wrapped up everything very well. Everyone did a great job. And I totally read Celeste talking to Jane at the funeral as her promising to take care of her and Ziggy. And I guess the previous scene of the detective on the cliff when it seemed like she was looking at footprints was her spying on the women at the end?
  18. I understood why he didn't want that, because Renata wasn't presenting it as "Amabelle is being bullied and I want her to talk to someone about it." She presented it as "Amabelle is super gifted with extra special feelings and she needs therapy because someone didn't want to come to her birthday party!!!!"
  19. Jane told Madeline that she was the first person she told about the night she was raped. Perhaps she hinted at it to her family but it doesn't sound like she told them the details.
  20. I think it makes sense that Ed would clue in to Perry's controlling Celeste. As we've seen with Nathan he's used to being shoved in a "beta male" role and is wary of alphas. He might be picking up on that from Perry.
  21. I agree that they've done OK showing that Jane doesn't have the kind of money everyone else does until last night when she had a crapton of joints! Although I suppose I could fanwank that she does the books for a grow-op or dispensary and they pay her in product. Am I crazy or did we see that Celeste, Jane and maybe Perry are not the murder victims? We seemed to see a flash forward to the chaos after the murder and we saw those three, although I suppose on this show you can never know what's real and what's just in someone's mind.
  22. I just watched a documentary on HBO about Greg Louganis last night and I'd love to see him as a judge. Shirtless if at all possible. :-)
  23. I'm bringing this over from the show thread. I think it being Renata's husband would also bring in the Madeline vs. Renata dynamics again, as well as Renata blaming Ziggy for hurting Amabella. There's an interesting symmetry to it that I like.
  24. I was thinking about Madeline being open with Celeste about the kiss but not the affair, and I wonder if maybe they've only been friends since the kids started kindergarten, so a year or so. Also the reveal of the affair explains why Joseph hid when he saw the group having coffee in the first episode.
  25. I thought this was great insight into Renata as well. Just laughing and kissing the mayor's ass to get her way rather than using solid arguments for their position. No wonder Madeline hates her so much if that's how she acts. I also love @bubble sparkly's theory about the source of Abby's stress being that she found out about her mom's affair. It would play into an undercurrent of the kids knowing more than we give them credit for, like the twins probably knowing that their dad hits their mom (which I think was shown with the bedroom scene where one of them walked in).
