  1. She has such pretty teeth. I swear at my next dentist appointment I'm taking in pictures of DCCs and saying "Make my teeth this white."
  2. I think those are Twitter numbers. I follow Cersten on IG and she has 6,856 followers.
  3. Doctors receiving kickbacks from prescriptions is illegal. If you know of this happening you should report it to the medical board of your state. Also if it's something that really worries you in regards to your personal care, go to a doctor associated with an academic institution. They're generally on salaried so their income isn't based on reimbursements.
  4. Someone on here once said Madeline looks like Taylor Swift and now I can't unsee it.
  5. I read a discussion of the hot water in the morning thing, and the consensus seemed to be that it's just a good way to start hydrating for the day. So not magical, but probably still a good idea.
  6. I've been doing overnight oats for a few weeks with this recipe. It's super easy to prepare and is quite cheap if you have a good bulk foods section at the grocery store: http://minimalistbaker.com/peanut-butter-overnight-oats/ I also made these but I found that I got sick of them after a few days. They are filling though: http://pumpsandiron.com/2014/02/11/apple-banana-quinoa-breakfast-cups/ And for anyone looking to work out more or break out of a rut, try a team sport. I joined one a few years ago and it really opened up a new world to me.
  7. Cersten was. Also the Latina girl from the very first special who got cut the next year was one. I'm sure there are way more but it seems like something they don't mention too often.
  8. I know it's a long shot, but I'd love to see Cersten get it since she likely won't be around next year and wasn't up for a lot of the normal accolades like show group due to her work schedule and preparing for med school. But I fully understand that they probably want to give it to someone who is up and coming.
  9. Maybe this is more for the former DCC thread, but man did Ally rub me the wrong way. I think it was when Kaitlyn LeGrand was MIA at practice, Kelli called Ally over and asked her where Kaitlyn was, and you could just tell Ally was their little pet who would rat out her teammates to suck up to them.
  10. Also what's getting me is that this sounds like something the team itself came up with to recognize the squad leaders. Sooo maybe if Sarah's squad liked her more they would have thought of something like this. Although the statement about expecting her husband to buy her something to recognize a 5-year period of her life that's long past is way ickier. That's like me saying I want my husband to buy me flowers to commemorate getting all-conference honorable mention when I ran cross country in high school.
  11. They cheer playoff games and Dallas has clinched homefield advantage, so they'll be home as long as they're in the playoffs. The first week of the playoffs are the wildcard games so they'll have that off.
  12. I know there's been some talk about The Star and how cities have to pay for NFL stadiums, so here's a column about Frisco helping to foot the bill for The Star. Keep in mind that it's a column so there are lots of opinions, and it's on Deadspin so there's lots of swearing: http://deadspin.com/the-new-frontier-in-stadium-ripoffs-1790361138
  13. Nope, I thought the same thing. I guess they did what they could with what they have to offer, but it struck me as odd to dance "for" someone in a coma.
  14. It's the week between the conference championship games and the Super Bowl, so in theory they should be keeping that free in general.
  15. I don't see Holly or a couple other people in either the hospital or the party pics. Did some people go home with the longer break?
  16. This conversation was giving me deju vu, so I looked and we have discussed this before:
  17. Yeah, I want to say they're limited to 32 on the field. Sure things could change this year, but there are so many people on the sidelines at the SB and so much going on (especially if the other team has cheerleaders) I imagine the NFL would be pretty strict about that. They could also decide to bring everyone (or even All Stars) to do appearances that week, though. It's in Houston this year so there would be a ton of Cowboys fans there.
  18. I think if the Cowboys do really well in the playoffs that would probably affect a lot of retirement decisions. They've been mediocre for a long time and playoff football is pretty exciting. It could even draw people out of retirement!
  19. Uniformity means everyone doing the same thing, the same way, at the same time. People on here were saying the Rockettes don't seem as impressive as the DCC, but I bet you wouldn't be able to take a picture like this of them. Honestly I don't think it matters that much for the DCC because they're doing it so fast and the crowd is so far away it's not apparent live.
  20. I'm pretty sure expecting them to do this for free would be illegal. With the scrutiny NFL teams have been under regarding paying cheerleaders it would be pretty ballsy to try it. Mot also brings up something I've always wondered and maybe @ShellyB can answer. Are the cheerleaders paid to do the USO tours? Are the staff who accompanies them? And who pays their expenses on the trips?
  21. For anyone looking for the rehearsal video it's a little easier to find on this page: https://www.facebook.com/MeredithLandJournalist/?hc_ref=PAGES_TIMELINE
  22. The NBA playoffs go through June. Presuming the Warriors go to the playoffs (which is a pretty safe assumption) she'd have to quit during the most exciting period of the season and go back to Dallas to audition.
  23. Does anyone still have the interview episode on their DVR? Didn't Tasha specifically tell the judges that her husband was in Dallas?
