Was this during a period of less than great talent? In addition to the kickline looking bad (it seemed like a lot of people were lunging back and forth) the rest of the choreography looked very simple. Like middle school pom squad simple.

I completely agree that photos/videos shouldn't be linked here, but I don't understand why it can't be discussed. Leaking of personal photos and how it was dealt with is something that was shown on the show (and for the record I'm still pissed about that TCC being dismissed over it).

While we're speculating, is this really really Sydney's last year? As many have pointed out she's still young, still looks fantastic and doesn't seem to be tired of it.

Looks like they actually let them dress casual for the flight. Good for them! I hope everyone has fun.

I'm just glad they finally retired that mask on the back of the head thing. It was clever the first time, but they did it for way to long in the dance and for too many years.

I clicked on those links thinking that there was no way the pink costumes could get any worse, but those come close. They wouldn't look too bad up close if the waist was lower, but out on the field they look really cheap. I bet the squad likes them way more than the old ones, though.

I was going to say I wish we could hear the actual music they're performing to, but I guess 99% of the time it would just be Thunderstruck.

I'm sure they don't take anyone's feedback as seriously as their own opinions, but when the team dances at games or random performances it's for people like the dentist. Maybe he can't tell that a dancer has or hasn't had years of technique training, but he can tell if she looks good and he enjoys watching her. I know they've shown K, J, & C take it into consideration when they had a candidate as a maybe and all the men say yes. That whole thing with Victoria kind of creeped me out. Not necessarily from Victoria, who seemed nice, but he's her boss and then judging her while she essentially danced in lingerie (the audition outfit with a garter and lacey top)..

Every once in a while they show a glimpse of Breelan when she's smiling and doesn't look terrified, and she looks gorgeous. I think everyone is pulling for her because they want THAT Breelan on the field. And seeing more of Chandler last night I see why they kept her around so long -- she basically has the ideal DCC body. Her face is cute but I don't quite see the DCC look there, and her dancing did look awkward last night. But they'd never have to talk to her about jiggle or her butt falling out of the shorts. I really hope they kept Alexandra around because they wanted to see her improve, and not just for drama of cutting someone everyone would be cheering for. I didn't see much difference in her kicks from the first time to this episode.

Wow, 2008! I guess if it's a good routine you get as much use out of it as possible, but that's a long darn time. Do veterans have to use a different solo every year, or can they use the same one over and over?

Anyone else notice Judy's roots front and center during the cameo shoots? It made me snicker since the team gets yelled at if they dare have flat hair or smudgy makeup.

The way Hannah and Veronica reacted to the comments during their respective uniform fittings tell me why one was cut and the other was given tools to stay. Hannah looked like she was trying not to laugh in their faces when they were telling her she was fat. She was so obviously over it. I don't know if it was from arrogance and she thought they'd never cut her, or just moving on from making the DCC her life, but she just didn't give a crap anymore. Veronica on the other hand had a smile plastered on her face and looked like she was trying her best not to cry. She was taking every word as gospel truth. I thought Meghan looked incredible in the uniform. She has such a gorgeous hourglass figure and a really pretty face.

I feel like Judy isn't getting as much screen time this season. Maybe it's to make room for Melissa and her mentoring, but it just seems like we've barely heard from her. I didn't think I'd like Melissa, but she doesn't bother me. She's a natural on camera, so seeing her planned conversations with rookies rather than getting that same information from awkward talking heads or stiff "coffee meetings" is fine by me. I also don't think Cassie will take over that mentor role eventually. It seems like something planted by CMT specifically for the show, and she was never that great on camera. I fully believe Judy will find a job for her within the organization though.

The "lol what were they thinking?" montage during the first episode has gotten more about looks than it used to in my opinion. They used to show a few people who got lost or couldn't dance, but now they focus mostly on women who have a couple extra pounds on them or aren't wearing 50 layers of makeup. I know it's not a "nice" show, but it seems very mean to me. I found it funny when Kelli skipped over that chunk of Melissa's resume that involved her getting dumped for a smart girl on national television.

I'm sure the team is just happy to not be dancing to Thunderstruck for the 8 millionth time. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Jacie as point. It would be interesting to see some of the discussions between K&J regarding placement beyond just rookies.
