No he was telling the truth. She was just supposed to fall asleep. Then Trey was supposed to pay off everyone to keep quiet in the morning. He did not believe that the pills would harm her (they were only sedatives) so he wasn't lying when he said he would protect her. He had already talked Trey out of killing the women.

Charlie is on the run, she needs to stop giving her full real name to people.

All he needed was time. Russell LaFitte (who got convicted back in November for various financial crimes) came through with an off the books loan and then Chris Wilson for reasons known only to Chris Wilson agreed to cover the rest of the missing $752,000. The hearing regarding producing financials that was schedule for June 10, 2021 was postponed out of sympathy, then was never held after Alex was arrested and held for the roadside shooting, then the financial crimes. Like all con man, just give him enough time to figure out another scam to cover the first one.

People have killed each other over parking spaces. Men have killed their families over a LOT less than their financial difficulties being found out. Scott Peterson killed his wife and unborn child because he didn't want to be a dad. I am not sure why Chris Watts killed his family but he did. WHY is it so hard to believe that Alex killed his family? If not him, WHO? If you pick at it, all the theories about Alex fall apart? How about all the theories that SOMEONE ELSE did it? He was at the scene just minutes before they died. The ONLY time he lied about his whereabouts ALL DAMN DAY was the time of the murders. If he didn't do it how did he know what time to lie about? All the theories of someone else would have someone somehow getting on to this property within a very narrow time frame between when Alex was seen at the kennels and when he went to visit his mother. During that time, this stranger managed to find two different guns, find Maggie and Paul who were NOT EVEN SUPPOSED TO BE THERE THAT NIGHT, shoot them, get the dogs in the kennel and coil up the hose, then escape without being seen. All without causing the dogs to go nuts. All this in 20 minutes. Or Alex goes down to the kennels in the golf cart, shoots them, cleans up with the hose, drives the golf cart back to house, and goes to his mom's house.

The Nevarro News: The Mandalorian in the Media

I think this is the right place for this. Go to the google home page and search for Grogu. Ya'all can figure it out from there. But DO IT. You will thank me. -
There is not. Not ONE victim impact statement on behalf of Maggie and Paul. So sad. They can appeal on the financial crimes but its clear the jury decided based on his lie about not being at the kennels.

Mama June: From Not To Hot: Seasons 1-6
merylinkid replied to Aethera's topic in Mama June: From Not To Hot
They ALL need to learn to be happy with themselves before getting into a relationship. When they have self-esteem and are comfortable being single, then they will make better relationship choices. Good grief, Alana is 17 and already headed down the path of her mother with poor relationship choices that lead to bigger problems. -

Considering what happened during the days' long Russell LaFitte trial, the State is very lucky that the jury came back so quickly. They might have had to declare a mistrial for lack of jurors. Which I think the Defense was counting on. In the Lafitte Trial, as the deliberations wore on and were going late one night, one juror said they needed to take their medication at a certain time (why they did not bring it we don't know) and one juror said that another juror was refusing to deliberate and follow the instructions. They only had 2 alternates left. The jurors were replaced, 45 minutes later there was a verdict.

Me too. I was convinced they got to at least one juror.

S03.E01: Chapter Seventeen - The Apostate
merylinkid replied to formerlyfreedom's topic in The Mandalorian
Nice fakout in the beginning. I thought it was a flashback to Din getting helmeted. But no, its now (well now for the show) because Din swooped in and saved the day. but got yelled at for returning from exile without redeeming himself. Like saving everyone isn't enough. Armorer: Oh hey, yeah, I forgot there was another way to redeem yourself, obscure chapter in the Creed, if you save the whole clan from a giant alligator, you get to come back. Greef Karga might have gone all HIGH Magistrate but he didn't get the position on his looks alone. Aaaaaah my show is back.- 111 replies

Oooh Jill is desperate for that Hawaii trip if she contacting randos on the internet to get them to join her downline. He is just worn out dealing with her. He may share her hateful views, but it doesn't mean she isn't EXHAUSTING to be around. If she were just spewing her hateful views, he might be more engaged. But its all the constant keeping her placated and constant attention that cuases him to check out. Oh who am I kidding? He is checked out because he found a great way to not have to work. She could be quiet as a mouse but he would still nap in front of the map all day.

You mean to tell me that Abby had gone all the way through law school, been sworn in to the bar, become a judge TWICE and never had to use her full legal name? See little things like that bother me. They could have had the reveal of her real name to the court, not to her. LOVED the cases. That poor lady just sitting there while everyone waits for her to transform. The blood moon binga cards. Because I can see somethng like that really happening (although not so obviously). Dan: Why would you think that just because I wanted to see her in handcuffs? Oh wait I get it now. Did the jukebox not turn on? Hey earth angel. But apparently Abby is from hooterville since the town now has TWO buses.

The Inventor: Out for Blood in Silicon Valley

But her lawyers in recent filing cite her "unblemished record" while out on bail. Dude, we have MEMORIES. She is also trying to delay her report date due the birth of her 2nd child. Lady, you knew you were going to prison when you got pregnant. The court is NOT going to give you a chance to get pregnant a THIRD time to avoid accountability. -
No, just no. They did that on Judging Amy. Can you we PLEASE have professionalism in the work place? the power dynamics between Judge and Clerk just make it all kinds of wrong.

The girls got all their parenting wore out of them by raising their younger siblings. They don't want a horde of kids to look after again. Even if they did the sister-Mom thing, they know how much it sucked and don't want to inflect it on their kids. You notice its the boys who seem to be going for all the babies they can, not the girls. Because the boys know they don't have to raise them. They are also well supported by Daddy so they don't have to figure out how to feed and house their kids. Although you would think the older ones would remember the days before the TT House and how shoved in they all were. As for Jim bob and Vacant lady, I don't think they care anymore. It was fine when they had complete control over their kids and were getting money and fame. Now? Whatever. They never cared about their kids when they were raising them, they sure as hell aren't going to care about what they do as adults.

No that is exactly right. The money is in PUBLISHING. The band only gets paid when they perform. That's why Madonna is STILL touring. She didn't write her songs. So she has to get the money from touring to get paid. The writer gets paid every time the song is played on the radio or streamed. It's why Beyonce changes a lyric or two in her songs so she can get writer credit. Which is bloody what they should have done here. Listened to the song and then said "okay how about if we say THIS on this line instead" and then they ALL could have had writer credit. But noooo, the morons just decided to steal the whole thing and split it 3 ways instead of 4.

that is what I absolutely ADORE about this show. (well besides the glimpses of Benjamin Bratt). They are able to get really good actors to appear. It helps the scripts are pretty good and it looks like it would be a fun one off to do. Thruple? will never not be funny. Charlie just wants the truth to come out. She can detect lies and it bugs her. Someone being falsely accused is a LIE to her and it has to be fixed. She does so much good when she could just be looking out for herself considering that her life is in literal danger.
-
Also The Mentalist. Not that Charlie is a "reformed" con man but that she notices all the little things. She has a built in BS meter which is actually probably all the little "tells" that people have when they are lying. They coalesce in her subconscious and she just knows. She couldn't tell you how she knows, but she knows. but then she notices other stuff too. Like in the 2nd episode with the lottery tickets noticing the sequential serial numbers. In this episode, she noticed how the heart rate looked at different times, then put that together with the time of the monkey show. Again, most of this is subconscious. She knows but can't explain why. And it bugs her. Until she can explain it. I am LOVING this show. This episode especially. Judith Light and S. Epatha Merkesron playing evil old biddies was delightful. They had it down PERFECT.
