I see the girls are being instructed in the teapot pose. Yes let's put eggs HIGH up on things so even adults have to stretch when there are llittle kids who are also participating. You know the "winners" had that dollar in their hot little hands for the length of time to take the picture, then Jill was snatching it back. Also its 2023, a DOLLAR as a prize.

Farmer Wants A Wife - General Discussion
merylinkid replied to CountryGirl's topic in Farmer Wants A Wife
I think it may go back to what kind of fields folks wanted. Farmers who grew crops wanted enclosed fields so they could be protected from livestock. Ranchers wanted wide out spaces to run their herds. Dairy farmers would, of course, wanted enclosed spaces so they could gather the cows easier for milking. Ranchers just needs to know where the herd IS when they gather they up to ride them up market for selling. In the West there were actual fights over this hence the song in Oklahoma. -

actually that one is rooted in history. At least earth history. Rome had a law that forbade the army from entering the city, or even crossing the Rubicon. that is why it was a BIG deal when Ceasar did it. The US has the posse comitatus law which prevents the military from being used as a police force except in EXTREME circumstances. So that one made sense to me and not just a plot device. -
Farmer Wants A Wife - General Discussion

Oh the farmer and the cowman should be friends .... Yeah farmers and ranchers are different breeds. But REAL farmers are like "I don't got time for this nonsense of teaching city girls how to farm, I got work to do." Also I grew up in farm country and every farmer had a paying job to actually support their family. The women might be Bachelor rejects, but the men signed up for a reason too. Promote their business, get insta famouse, whatever. -
S03.E06: Chapter Twenty Two - Guns for Hire

Human brains are not finished until we are around 22-23. Given an average lifespan of 80 years, that's one-quarter of your life with a brain that is still learning things like impulse control and YOU CAN DIE IF YOU DO STUPID STUFF. No seriously, this is actual science. So given a species whose life span is roughly 900 years, the same equivalent would be 200 something (rounding here because math is NOT my strong suit). Grogu is only 50, so a quarter of the way to having his brain be finished (also assuming that it is an equivalent evolution to human brains). A quarter of a way to being finished for a human is about 4 years old. Or late toddler. Where you still have to teach them not to touch things and don't take other people's stuff. Obviously, different species with different evolutionary needs (hence the big eyes, ears to handle swamp dangers as pointed out), but the equivalent of a toddler with how he behaves is just about right. -

Yes. I don't watch all the Star Wars shows and really only care about the original 3 movies. I don't want to have to do homework to understand a nice little evening diversion. Could be why ratings are down. The casual fan is checking out. -

They missed a huge chance by not having The Duchess play a Crystal (looking) flute. I too felt Lizzo acted better than Jack Black. He overemotes. Also yeah there is something highly suspect about this "REHABILITATED, TOTALLY FOLKS." Also the look Christopher Lloyd gave him when he denounced him. It was definitely a "dude, this was YOUR plan." -
Abby grew up with her dad. But it is possible that he left the bench adn was teaching full time by the time he married Abby's mom. It bothers me more that they act like "Upstate" is all farm country and country bumpkins. The freaking state capital is Upstate. Buffalo is Upstate. Etc. Skaneateles is not exactly podunk. Except to NYC writers.

Apparently he is not just a lawyer, he's a musician. -
Because in this episode she said her dad took her on day trips into NYC when she didn't have school. You are not doing that from Oneonta (My great grandma lived in Oneonta) or Skaneatles. But her Mom also said their town now had TWO buses. So ya know, just lazy writing.

Maggie is a complete cipher. She just kinda is THERE. Even in her murder trial there wasn't much about her. Her own family didn't make a victim impact statement. As for Stephen Smith. He kinda knew Buster and there were rumors about them. Apparently the name Murdaugh shows up at least 40 times in the police file, so SOMEONE was saying SOMETHING. Also very weirdly, Randolph showed up at the crime scene (he was not a wanna be solicitor like his brother Alex) and then someone from PMPED called Sandy Smith, Stephen's mom and said that Randolph would represent her in a wrongful death lawsuit. Like the same day his body was found. Not even a cause of death yet. Which is EXTREMELY odd. Why was Randolph so involved? Not to disparage Stephen who seems like he was a terrific, caring young man, but its not like he was a celebrity or anything. So why would Randolph be at the scene of some random "hit and run" or offer to help a family who didn't really seem to know who Randolph even was.

She totally did that face cover smiley on purpose. "Oh you won't let me show your face or reveal your name? I'll show you, I'll post ANYWAY but follow your silly rules." Such a self-centered person. YOU want privacy, well I don't so you are going to be all over SM ANYWAY. I do hope Mystery Man does stand up to Jill and take Renee away. He can tell Renee to just not answer calls from her mom or even block her. That way she is not in the middle because what is Jill going to do if Renee goes no contact? She can only show up and make Renee miserable so often. She has to grift and that takes time that can't be spent making Renee miserable.

I'm So Disappointed In You: Celebrity Missteps

The Plaintiff actually said in his butthurt way after the verdict "She came in with a lot of goodwill, I had to overcome that." Dude, did you KNOW who you were suing? I think the jury was out as long as it was because they were going "but, its Gwyneth Paltrow, she's so annnnnnnoying, do we really have to find in her favor?" As she left court, she did tell Sanderson she wished him well, according to Sanderson. It was seen on the live feeds that she touched his shoulder and said something to which he said thank you. But he is the one who said what she said. Gwyneth gave no interviews. But she looked about to cry with relief when the verdict came back 100% in her favor. He is saying he doesn't accept the verdict and doesn't understand why this was about anything but a ski crash. Dude, it went into your life before and after the crash because you said the crash totally changed your life. So yes, there has to be a comparison between before and after. They aren't going to just focus on what happened in mere seconds on a ski slope (or minutes if you believe his story about being unconscious for 5 to 10 minutes). I hope his attorneys have sat him down and said, do not appeal this. You aren't likeable, your story is not believable because you OVER EXAGGERATE everything. This is 100% the expected verdict. One of my favorite parts is where he said he found out after the crash he couldn't travel alone anymore because when he was alone in Germany, he fell off the curb because no one was assisting him. Dude, I fell off the curb last week, it is was 100% my fault and it does not mean I need assistance. He also forgets that he was 69 at the time of the crash. This was about him getting old and he doesn't like it so it has to be someone's fault, coupled with a little "I'm the guy who sued Gwyneth Paltrow."- 1.3k replies

Also I would like to point out that Rand and Abby have probably known each other for years. Neil has known her about ten minutes. This twu wuv thing makes about as much sense as Gurgs and Olivia fighting over being Abby's Maid of Honor. Abby did not just pop into existence when she took over the Night Court.

Not a fan of "workplace romance" on shows because they are too lazy to do anything else. The clerk-judge relationship is such a power imbalance that its just not a good look. I don't think Rand and Abby are a mismatch. We've seen him once. The scene where they are eating in her chambers, they looked like a real couple in love. They seem to share the same interests and the same outlook on life - which is a bit perky but okay it works for them. Now they are making Rand a bundle of phobias which is being played for laughs. Because someone's fears are just so damn funny right? It's also not like Neil is the most secure guy in the world. What do Neil and Abby have in common? Other than they work together?
