  1. I find it very funny that Tamra can't pronounce pastor because she confuses it with meat cooked al pastor. Here's a hint, one is an ordained Christian minster and the other is meat cooked in a Mexican restaurant using Lebanese cooking methods on a trompo.
  2. Brooks is literally a nobody. I can't stand Vicki, but it is appalling to watch her ruin her reputation, as much as it is, for this never was. Why lie for this loser?!?! Especially when Brooks seems content to sell Vicki down the river.
  3. Did anyone see the episode with the pork barrel hotel in Kentucky? That hotel is far too big for the location. Though Anthony was correct to propose turning some of the suites into condos. If Frankfort is like most state capitals, the population swells during legislative sessions. A lot of lobbyists will just take up residence in a decent nearby condo.
  4. That marriage and especially divorce sounds like a shit show. It's also clear that Caroline Fleming has wanted to be famous for a long time. However, who sends a 6 year old to boarding school? That's a first grader. 10 years old? Maybe. 12 -13 years old? Reasonable and normal. 6 is ridiculous. You barely even know your child at that age.
  5. I hope it's when the show aired so that it all comes spewing out during the reunion. It's just so funny to see him nipping at her heels when everyone around him is telling him that Rocky sucks and absolutely doesn't like him. I loved that he was gushing about Rocky's plating being food porn when everyone else thought it looked like shit.
  6. I believe Kate said "what about Rocky?" to Captain Lee after Captain Lee said Leon was gone and they were without a chef. It was later when Rocky jumped ship and came back that Rocky offered to cook and then Kate said yes because they had no other options.
  7. The writing on this show is so dog stupid that have little faith in this season. I know Juliette will somehow turn up alive. I'm not happy about it. I never felt like Nick needed to be single during earlier seasons, but I also thought that Bitsie didn't need to be part of the regular cast. It's the same way I was fine with Wu being background for most of the series. After the cat scratch, the show felt like they had to DO something with Juliette. They didn't. And one of the better aspects of the earlier seasons is that while Nick's work and Grimm lives were bonkers, his home life was normal. The one thing I'm fairly certain about this season is that it will probably be the show's last. This is when salaries start going up, the ratings were never great, and the writing is dismal.
  8. I really feel like production must have stepped in with Rocky. There is no way that Captain Lee wouldn't have fired her after that dive over the side if he had the ability to. Who could feel comfortable continuing to captain your ship when you have an unstable crew member who might jump ship at the drop of hat? What if she had been injured in her petulant protest dive? Now Captain Lee has to deal with a rescue and getting her medical attention. There is something really wrong with Rocky. What's especially ridiculous about her is that immediately after finding that Leon was gone, Kate suggested that Rocky cook. But Rocky had to throw her tantrum and didn't realize that she'd been given an opportunity. About Kate, I think she's a snob. I think her chief stew mentor probably came from an elitist and aloof school of how to stew. I think Kate thought that was the only way to do it. I think that's why she clashed with Amy last season because Amy had a warmer more down to earth style that Kate was unaccustomed to. Leon never understood how different being a yacht chef is from being a restaurant chef. His food needed to be good, but no one books a charter just to eat Leon's food. So if if the guests want quesadillas and protein shakes, you give them what they want.
  9. They need to get permission. When Robert Zemeckis faked Crispin Glover's appearance in Back to the Future 2, Glover sued. As a result, you need the express permission of the actor or his or her estate to use their likeness under SAG rules.
  10. Is Rocky a kitten or a toddler? Are they waving a tennis ball or a toy over her head? I find Emile's toadying hilarious given Rocky's frequent hooking up with Eddie. I don't know if he would have been so obsequious if he had known about that. Rocky is an immature fame whoring disaster of a human. She's delusional about her talent and adorableness. And anyone with any kind of palate and with any understanding of food knows that Oreos cannot substitute for cocoa nibs. Cocoa nibs are bitter, but have a fruity nuttiness. And anyone who has ever tasted cocoa nibs would never think of an Oreo. Rocky is a dilettante. Leon was a douche.
  11. There is a huge nursing shortage. Both Vicki and Brianna have said Brianna works 2 jobs. She's probably getting $70-80K in her primary job and picks up some hours PRN somewhere else at about $50/hour. That would get her to six figures. Even 10 hours a week at $50/hour would add $25K.
  12. I have friend who just can't be alone either. Because of that she's made her family life so chaotic and dysfunctional that her children can never live on their own. The thing that Vicki doesn't realize is that being with the right person is better than being with the wrong person or being alone, but being with the wrong person is never better than being alone. It's why she stuck with cheating Donn for so long. She just waited until she found someone slightly less wrong for her. It's sad.
  13. This is Vicki's narcissistic bullshit. I think David could have hit on Tamra or Heather because at the time they were not friends with Shannon. Shannon would never have believed them if they said that David hit on them, but Vicki...Vicki was a friend and hitting on her would have tipped Shannon off about David's dishonesty and infidelity.
  14. Once again it remains to be said that if Caroline Fleming's family is inclined to believe Marissa over Caroline that shows how Caroline fucked up this relationship, not Marissa. There is no more need to grovel for forgiveness from the ex-Baroness Fleming. Plus I feel Caroline hired her lone paparazzo. Poor Caroline S. feels so very sad about the business she mismanaged and ran into the ground. Ugh Annabelle is back to being insufferable. She can never just sit down talk things out. She has to be smug, snide, and sour. For all of the talk about Americans being so sensitive, we've seen just as much ridiculous oversensitivity from the Brits and Caroline Fleming. Because I'm an awful person, I'm hoping that Annabelle's distressing news is that zombie Alexander McQueen is dead again.
  15. Weekend Tuesday was hilarious and such a subtle joke about how there a whole host characters in West Covina who are stranger than we could imagine.
  16. Josh was like legitimately cool and nice this episode. Like you could see how Rebecca could be into him and not just this idealized version of him who will magically make Rebecca's life better. He was supportive of her, but also challenged her anxiety and crazy. I liked Rebecca better too. The other episodes she came across crazy crazy to me, but this episode I thought she was relatable crazy. Even when she blew off Greg at the bar it felt like it was more because he was being dismissive of her party plans and less because Josh was there. Paula's life is quite a mess and she really is quite crazy too. I can see how indulging Rebecca's delusions could be very escapist for her. White Josh, never listen to Rebecca. Keep your shirt off.
  17. Vicki is emotionally 11, so losing her mother now is that much more devastating than Hayley's loss.
  18. I was in a program in the US that would have allowed me to graduate from medical school at 22. I dropped out after my second year, but one of my former classmates graduated at 21. If you assume that she took nearly every AP offered and was very ambitious about her studies, then 29/30 makes perfect sense.
  19. Despite the leech idiocy, I'm glad Heather tried to talk some sense into Shannon over Shannon's frequent use of colonics. It makes me wonder if the colonics are some strange effort to control her food absorption. There are some foods we can't get nutrients from without gut flora. However, Shannon is completely wrong about cleaning out your GI system for health reasons. What she's doing negatively impacts the immune system.
  20. As is so typical of this show, everyone talks about how Juliet is a social climber, but ignores Marissa's obvious and blatant desires to move socially upward. Of course she would be gung ho about a shooting weekend. Of course she'd make fun of Juliet for not wanting to shoot as if it's completely illegitimate to not want to shoot animals. And of course she'd be best friends with Car Fleming's sister. Also Caroline Fleming needs to get over this mostly because Marissa complained that you were pissed to half of the women Fleming complained how pissed she was to the other half. And if your family is so inclined to believe Marissa over you, that speaks less to Marissa being a backstabbing gossip and more about how Caroline Fleming has wrecked her relationship with her family that they'd believe Marissa over Caroline.
  21. Actually, Vicki muddled the issue. For the most part the other wives agreed that it is sometimes different with step-parents and stepchildren. Vicki volunteered that her sisters were adopted and her mother loved them all the same, but maybe loved some of her kids differently. The problem is Vicki is such a needy narcissistic monster that she can't understand how someone could love a child that is not genetically theirs in the same way as genetic offspring. Do I believe that Meghan loves Hayley? I believes that she cares for her, but Meghan's overriding self interest in crafting a storyline had more to do with her interest in what was happening with Hayley. However, there are step parents who feel differently. My eldest brother is my half brother and my mom has been in his life since he was 10. He's 50 now. In the past decade he's slowly been distancing himself from her in favor of creating a relationship with his biological mother who abandoned him at 2. This shit has torn my family apart because the rest of us can't figure out why he would treat a woman who loves him this way. Do I think that Tamra is sincere about her Christianity? Eh, not really. But I do acknowledge that she's been through some stuff recently and maybe it will take. However, I don't want to hear anything from Alexis who had the world's most narrow judgmental and bizarrely hypocritical view of Christianity. And secondly as a christian Alexis doesn't get to judge. The only one who can judge Tamra's sincerity is God.
  22. For the most part the Lifetime crop of designers only really do avant-garde designs during an unconventional materials challenge. I think that's part of why Kelly did so well. She had crappiest fabric to work with and had to be innovative. Yes, she chose that fabric. However, she might have started to do really dumb things with her design if she had a similar print on a silk.
  23. I don't think I would mind her mentioning McQueen of she didn't continually remind us he was her best friend. I always want someone to ask her if Alexander knew that. I think he was friends with her, but he certainly wouldn't name Annabelle as his best friend. The deaths of Isabella Blow and especially his mother sent him down a very dark path. This is a very mean thought but if Annabelle had died rather than his mother, I'm pretty sure McQueen would be alive today. I have no sympathy for Caroline S. She was sitting in her office agonizing over the finances of her business with a Swarofski encrusted phone. I just wanted to scream at her. This is why her business is failing. She has a posh office in London that she just did a glamorous remodel a couple of years ago rather than actually investing it into the business by improving processes, increasing efficiency, or eliminating waste. If the investors want to figure out where the money went, they should look at the bowl of jelly tots next to the bedazzled phone which is reflecting the glow from the neon sign on the wall. Julie should take a page from Lisa Vanderpump. Lisa is probably worried about how successful her restaurants are. However, we only ever see Lisa working on things that proactively improve the restaurants, like remodeling and new menu tastings. If we saw Julie meeting with event planners on expanding the types of events they have at Mapperton to include more conferences, art exhibits, food and wine or film festivals, Julie wouldn't seem so harried and desperate. Or if we saw her meeting with the local government to try get a rudimentary tourism program together. Or a food festival with all of the best restaurants in the region and maybe a famous chef from London. I can't say enough about Julie's horrible hair color. It was the same color as her bowling shirt.
  24. I'm fully in support of Connor sabotaging the CotW because even for this, their prep was laughable. Did Zoe's parents approach Annalise the day before the trial? What happened to her previous attorney? If you only have 3 hours to find something to discredit the state's psychiatric expert, then this is not a case you should take. I don't like how the show got there, but this is not a case they should have taken or won. I would have liked it more of the loss was symptomatic of Annalise being distracted by the situation with Nia.
