  1. I saw a promo where a child w/ long blonde hair is trying to carry something big, trips and falls onto the item...maybe it was a wagon wheel? & I immediately thought, this is why little kids don't belong in the workshop. The producers keep messing around with this show. I recently watched several shows from seasons 1 & 2 and noticed Ryan wasn't always running his mouth with inane comments & constantly snickering. He spoke only when he had smart, intelligent things to say. One other thing from S1...Ashley really getting ticked off big time, grousing, sulking, then leaving in a huff. You don't see anything like that in Seasons 3 & 4. IMO, this show was perfect right from the start & didn't need any stupid attempts at comedy (or the addition of kids).
  2. They need to get the lead out and publish it ASAP! We need new recipes, new ideas. Is there a sneak peak somewhere of her comfort meals? Wish I could walk up to Ina's back door and get a meal to go 😷😁
  3. I could just reach into this picture and grab that gorgeous burger. Yum!

I posted this link on that odd NBC thread (or whatever it's called)...don't think anyone visits that place. Anyway, good riddance to another warped top broadcasting executive. He had to have known about Lauer's criminal offenses against female employees.

  6. I try hard to keep my distance but it gets hard when someone stands in the aisle, looking at a product...and stands there forevaaaahhh! Of course, I sorta did that last week and sensed someone several feet up the aisle. She was waiting to pass and I apologized and went on my way (she was very sweet & said not to worry--kind woman!) Guess we no longer have the luxury of studying products, thinking about how we'll use them, while standing in the aisle.
  7. That's what I used to do, back in my checkwriting days. Everything filled in except the amount. But then, one of my friends at our neighborhood coffee group said, "So, *you're* one of *those* people who slow everything down!" It really was funny cause there I was babbling about how fast I was at filling in just the amount, honestly, I wasn't slowin' anything down. But, since that day I've used my credit card--so much easier (and so much quicker😁). I love to remind her of that day.
  8. Yup...it's the old squeaky wheel getting the oil. Congratulations!
  9. Thanks to a break in rainy days (yay! Thunderbirds & Blue Angels flew over our 'hood) we grilled burgers and brats, had potato salad and a tossed salad. Rain returns tomorrow but it's so green here that I feel we're competitive with Ireland right now 😷😉
  10. I'm very impressed with Kaitlyn Weaver (aside from her fantastic skating).
  11. I watched and she was the same as ever: funny, nice, a good sport (over so many people laughing over that huge cocktail glass). She & Colbert each made a cocktail, clicked glasses via zoom, and enjoyed a sip. Jeffrey made an appearance & shared some of Ina's Cosmopolitan, using straws (those two are so hilarious). Then she sort of lovingly booted him out of the kitchen (only Ina could get away with that!) She talked about things to always have in the pantry (answering Colbert's question): olive oil, cans of tomatoes, pasta. I can't wait for her new show & her new cookbook (wish it would be available *now*...she's going to have lots of comfort food recipes 😁).

Awww...he's a good kid (ok--he's almost 40 but he still has that kid look, like Dick Clark always had). I never noticed his pants other than they're khaki, right? He and that other guy on cable news crack me up with their forever-rolled up sleeves (that guy on CNBC, Jim whatsishame??). Cramer! Jim Cramer, who's forever yelling 📣

Hey MSNBC: allocate this... switch their time slots instead!
  14. And subway tiles, barn doors on sliders, open kitchen shelves, etc.
  15. Yes, indeed! Property Brothers are nice guys but I can't watch their shows (they're both too nerdy & *act* nerdy, IMO).
  16. Maine Cabin Masters is supposed to move to HGTV. With the pandemic shutting down everything, I'm wondering if MCM has been able to start production yet. None of the above mentioned new shows interest me.
  17. We had grilled pork chops, Spanish Roasted Potato Salad with my own aioli, and sliced cucumbers, radishes & red onions w/ a Greek vinaigrette. My sister keeps telling me to use Schwans or Fresh Chef. But if I do that, I'd have no excuse to visit my grocery store once a week (wearing mask & gloves, with antiseptic wipes in the car) 😷😁
  18. Actually, physical distancing really makes sense because that's what we're supposed to do (whether we're socializing, or not speaking to the people in our, beyond 6 ft, midst!) Thanks, Canada.
  19. This interests me--a little spicy sausage mixed in with ground beef. I'm going to do this next time I make meatloaf.
  20. When you see reruns of shows like MTM, Hill St Blues, LA Law, Designing Women, Bob Newhart (his 1st series), Lou Grant, Taxi, early Cheers, that Tim Reid show that took place in New Orleans, Maude, etc., you wonder what happened to those great writers. The funny stuff just appeared *naturally* in the scripts. Nothing was forced. Even Looney Tunes from *way* back in the day were truly comedic (& subtle), meant for grown ups. Did I miss any shows? I know there were a lot more, that we just enjoyed & took for granted.
  21. Yes. I just read this ^^^^ at Politico a few minutes ago. Almost 30 days in the hospital? Yikes! So glad Eric is on the mend. I've missed him on the new shows.

Good God...just don't let them pick what's-his-name (the one who is just-too-much for the camera). I saw him earlier this afternoon, interviewing kids about life in the shut down. There's just something about him that doesn't come across as professional, smooth, whatever. He needs to return to NPR. Some folks are better on radio than TV and he's def one of them.
  23. Linda Bloodworth is an excellent writer for mature women so let's hope she can get another series with such females. I understand she had another one ready to go but that creep Les Moonves wasn't interested. That's surprising re: Dixie Carter's book. But then, Dixie was not at all like "Julia" so maybe it shouldn't be.

I don't know if MSNBC has ever covered general news. It's always seemed (to me) to be politically oriented. Maybe in its early years it covered the news??? Let's hope that by the time MSNBC staff can return to the studios, that TPTB will have hired a host for the 7:00 PM time slot.
