  1. Even with the awful hair, I still have no sympathy for Kim. She confessed to witnessing Howard’s murder and setting him up after everyone that can corroborate is essentially dead or in the wind (Gene). She unburdened herself and gave Howard’s wife closure but I guess she’ll go back to Florida with her “yep” man. Seriously thought Gene would murder Marion, but he’s never committed murders himself. My only question is what made her Google “con man in Albuquerque”? Not sure how I feel about the Kim and Jesse crossover.
  2. My lesson from this ep is when Mike tells you something is a bad idea, you listen.
  3. Oh dear, still pointing the blame at Manny Montana? I’m still wondering he supposedly did that was so bad that it ruined renewal for the show.
  4. I normally like Rhea’s acting, but I didn’t feel like she sold the crying at the end there. It felt like someone who was trying to cry, but the tears just weren’t squeezing out. Maybe I’ll watch again and feel differently, but it rang hollow to me.
  5. He said he would, but he didn’t want to hear Hector’s bell ringing. I’m inclined to believe he wouldn’t offer him a bed even if Hector wasn’t there.
  6. And Eladio didn’t even offer Gus the chance to spend the night at his home. Yes, he said he didn’t want to hear Hector’s bell ringing all night, but I thought it solidified his outsider status.
  7. I feel odd about Kim’s exit because of that horrible lie she told Howard’s wife at the memorial. I guess she knew she had to stick the landing and then she could be done. I do how they did the time jump. No need to see Jimmy sulk and mourn Kim, their story was done when she left. Assuming this is the end of Gus and Mike? I know some might not like it, but I was riveted by Gus and his conversation with the waiter. I guess it’s because it was one of the few times we see him having a conversation with someone without it being transactional and he was trying to bring a sense of normalcy back into his life. But he realized the last person he let in was shot in the head and promptly left. Also, interesting Don Eladio saw only hate in his eyes, but was arrogant enough to think him being the boss meant he could control him. And thank goodness the scene with Papa Varga ended with him alive. I was worried Mike would think he’d go to the police.
  8. I agree about letting Gus have his monologue down in the lab, but Lalo needed to keep Gus alive when they were above ground to bring him downstairs for Eladio’s video tour. I don’t even know if he ever intended to kill Gus yet because he was gathering proof to share with Eladio and he didn’t have approval to kill Gus who was a high earner. I think his plan was to get the video to Eladio and once Eladio sees the proof, Lalo could either go back and execute Gus or let the cartel do what they will.
  9. I think Gus knew that Lalo couldn’t just outright kill him without proof. He’d already deduced Lalo went to Germany when he had the freak out in the Pollos parking lot. So he knew Lalo was going to dig around Werner’s boys to try and dig up information. That’s when he asked the guys to bring him to the lab a couple of eps ago and he planted the gun and counted his steps. He always knew Lalo would force a showdown at the lab, he just didn’t know how. I think when Kim mentioned Jimmy talked Lalo out of sending him, he realized Lalo’s plan was coming to fruition and it was time for the showdown. I think deep down he figured it would come to that to justify his death to Eladio, even if Mike and crew didn’t quite believe him.
  10. That part, too. I literally said “Kim, you’re not about that life” out loud when she pulled out the gun.
  11. I just hate what happened to Howard. Down to how he was buried. Kim, you’ve got some serious soul searching to do. Going from a well respected lawyer to driving to kill a drug lord on the orders of another. How the mighty have fallen. Gus has to be wondering what’s the use in paying for his small army at this point.
  12. There’s a Facebook group out there (that I may or not be part of) that shares the full rundown of the ep. I live not too far from the festival and wanted to go, but had other plans so I’m somewhat kicking myself. From who I know that went, the spoilers floating around are more or less correct. Interested to see how it actually plays out.
  13. I read a comment somewhere that described his friendly persona as a “rattlesnake trying to smile”. It felt so fitting for that character.
  14. Damn, RIP Howard. I know it’s going to be a long two months, but I wonder how they’re going to explain this because Howard was not “in the game”. Kim and Jimmy are past the point of redemption for this.
  15. Sunny with the story about having Manny’s phone and answering machine smashed on the highway – there are some things you just keep to yourself. Even Whoopi told her it was a dumbass thing to do.
  16. If I can interpret it, I think Kim hates more of what Howard stands for more than anything. I’ve never really taken to Kim the character but I can somewhat see where she’s coming from in that Howard has likely never had to really struggle in his life and held this great power imbalance over her. Before Chuck died, he was smug and self-obsessed about his image. And while Kim was at HHM, she was the dutiful employee willing to be the scapegoat if it came down to it to protect Chuck and/Howard. Even when she left and looked to take Mesa Verde, the client she brought on, Howard and Chuck battled to keep them on because of course they should be the ones to keep a client like Mesa Verde. Then Chuck dies and Howard is put in the position of giving Jimmy his pittance of inheritance, which Kim thought was fitting it would come from Howard. Now Howard has done work to try and become a better man and right some of those wrongs, but Kim doesn’t see it. She sees the Howards and Kevin of the world as doing as they please, collateral damage be damned. So in her mind, she’ll show them some real damage. Now I don’t think her vengeance plan is a good idea all and my answer would be go to therapy, but I guess we wouldn’t have this plot then.
  17. The only person I feel bad for is Francesca because she put her heart and soul into decorating that office. Oh, and the German guy.
  18. If you watch last weeks’s episode when Gus is walking through the tunnel to the other house, he passes a guy that looks similar and is dressed like him. On the BCS Insider podcast, they confirmed it was his body double. I guess they sit in his “main” house while he goes to the other one.
  19. I think in one episode, Lalo said there were 27 Werner Zieglers in Germany. I think he’d been looking into it for some time after Werner accidentally started spilling the beans to him. I’m curious if Howard played right into Kim and Jimmy’s game. Kim mentioned something happening next doesn’t bode well for Howard. Also, we are seeing the beginning of Francesca’s disillusionment with Saul. I have so many questions about Gus and his living arrangements now. I didn’t even realize he had the body double in last week’s episode, so I guess they cover for him at his “official” home while he’s across the street? And he still cleans the grout with a toothbrush and it’s not even his house? 🤔
  20. Oh no, Nacho. 😢 My only question is how did Gus explain being the one to bring Nacho in? If there was suspicion cast on him already, wouldn’t it be raised further since he wasn’t caught by the shiny suit twins or any of the other soldiers, but Gus magically finds him?
  21. I think they’ve already said they’re both going to discuss on her Red Table Talk show soon. They’re on it. 🙄 On to todays show, Joy always manages to crack me up. And I’m surprised Whoopi didn’t pull her “I can’t talk about it because I’m a member of the Academy” routine today.
  22. If it were possible to stomp out a word from existence, it would be “woke”. I know it was born out of AAVE and it has been co-opted for the purposes of Bill and Batya to label anything they don’t agree with. I rue the day that word became mainstream. I quit the show but the person I was visiting didn’t, so I was stuck listening to Batya’s word salad about why the west should de-escalate with Putin and wondering how this somehow became everyone else’s fault. Thank goodness Frank Bruni said something, because I knew Bill likely wouldn’t.
  23. https://www.buzzfeed.com/amphtml/natashajokic1/kim-kardashian-work-advice-backlash LOL At Kim of all people saying no one wants to work anymore. Give her a 9-5 paying $50K a year without the nannies, glam squad, $15 + salads and photo shoots and see how “motivated” she is then.
  24. I thought it was good for Sunny to bring up the topic of the African students studying in Ukraine and have reported they’re unable to leave. I saw many of those tweets this weekend, but I wasn’t sure it was misinformation from a troll farm or not. Ana was shutting her down, but Sunny was standing firm. Whoopi actually did a good job of breaking it up and having them move on.
  25. This. Whether you like Mary or not (I’m not her biggest fan), it’s never okay to see a racist attack someone, especially in such a deranged manner. Mary has always gotten under Jennie’s skin because she paid her dust, and Jennie realized she couldn’t rattle Mary like she wanted. Of course in light of what’s happened with Jennie, everyone has shared their PR statements, but we saw how no one had her back there and gave Jennie the “oh well”. Done with this franchise now.
