  1. So Pam's moved out of the apartment? I still think Mitch and Cam are going to end up with her son.
  2. When I see that mane flying I think, "Kirstie Alley looks rough." So Nell might have been taken by slavers instead of Spartans? Maybe London's not that much safer than the colonies.
  3. Me too. Weren't all three of her statements true to a point? So Nell's disappeared. Are the Spartans still in business? I keep hoping Armitage will notice something about Kitty/Mercy -- a birthmark, a crooked finger, anything -- that convinces him he's her father. Had to laugh at Cherry looking the guy over, then selling him a shorter condom.
  4. It took two good challengers to bring James down. One couldn't have done it.
  5. He got to star in a proposal scene. I'm not sure marriage was the point. Well, thank you for the laugh. Now I'm reminded of the late great Brendan Behan: "Critics are like eunuchs in a harem; they know how it's done, they've seen it done every day, but they're unable to do it themselves."
  6. Diane, a doctor? She'd better become a pathologist.
  7. Pops is a charming old devil and the show has always played his financial shenanigans for laughs -- but yes, it's serious. Junior's inability to get one low-limit credit card could mean that a small financial emergency could snowball into his ruin.
  8. Back in the first season, before the relationship turned toxic, Junior wanted to be called Andy. Dre wouldn't have it. I think that some of Junior's rebellion has been against the expectation that if you're moderately bright and at least middle class you go straight to college, period, end of discussion. How's that been working out for Zoey?
  9. I lost some sympathy for Bow when she revealed her weirdly specific expectations for Junior. So just how long can the kid keep his nickname? Dre will always be Dre, so Junior could become the Andre Johnson. Imagine how his father would feel about that. Especially since he'll have no credit, thanks to Pops.
  10. Pam was last seen taking over the upstairs apartment. I bet Mitch and Cameron end up adopting her child after she abandons him or suffers a really stupid death. Better that than Manny's "It's all about me on her birthday." I quit disliking her when she fled. Maybe she'd finally realized that to Manny, life was one long piece of performance art and other people were nothing but props.
  11. Go, Eustace! Awww, Devonte. You're lucky your father's found a use for you.
  12. And seeing Lily smile was the highlight of the episode for me.
  13. Yes, what's with her "let's you and him fight" shtick? Is Dina heading for some kind of a crash, triggered by the loss of her birds (and, possibly, undiagnosed PPD)? Between Sandra and Marcus, lots of TMI tonight.
  14. She looked ten years older in that dress, matronly instead of glamorous. Maybe we're supposed to believe she bought it at Cloud 9. At least instead of saying, "Don't make the mistakes I did," which would wish Emma out of existence, Amy can say, "Don't turn out like Cheyenne." Amy's name-of-the-day was Poot. Is she testing whether anyone's paying attention?
  15. Glenn should have told Garrett, "Impossible! I'm wearing a robe." That plot kinda fizzled out. Loved Cheyenne's recoil from Carol's high-five.
  16. Nice to see Josh as something besides a butt monkey.
  17. I've never seen so many Triple Stumpers in one game.
  18. Loved Brett and the jigsaw puzzles. That's just what I would have done. Also the deflating air mattress -- "I just thought you were continuously farting all night."
  19. That bit about "dumb actors' kids" -- coincidentally topical, or did they insert it at the last moment?
  20. Ruby's quite decent to Bow these days. Are we getting some actual continuity from "Black Like Us"?
  21. And you don't teach coping skills by sabotaging someone's confidence. The Good: Pops The Better: No Ruby The Best: "I'm Dr. Johnson! I keep on having babies even though I know how bodies work -- and I get paaaaid!!!"
  22. It's almost touching that Junior thinks Dre has his best interests at heart. Almost.
  23. He was cute with Devonte in his lap, though. Seriously, why isn't he the manny? He'd be earning his keep, learning about adult responsibility, and discovering that even loving guardians make mistakes.
  24. Miss Brady's doctor had told Wargrave that he believed her servants had withheld her heart medicine. Wargrave then developed a line of chat for new acquaintances, about murders the law couldn't touch. I think it changed their final confrontation for the better. In the book the two formed a platonic alliance, but when they discovered Armstrong's body both thought Christie crafted her dialogue so that neither would realize that the other was on the defensive. Trouble is, there's no way that Lombard would have let Vera near the gun. In this production, Lombard knows that Vera's innocent -- not because he's a sentimental fool, but because she has an alibi for the judge's "murder" -- and that, incredibly, there's a third person alive on the island. His mistake is assuming that she's a sentimental fool; of course she's going to think that he's the killer.
