Seemed to me like David's hot-body girlfriend was miffed that he did more than just fuck Susan, but he spent time with her and treated her with a modicum of respect and caring. How dare he? Maybe David really likes Susan? The only other moment I liked was when work wife Abby finally stood up to Fitz and said quit being a douche. That worked for me. And I was horrified at the mere thought of Quinn and Charlie becoming parents someday. Really, Show? Other than that, everything was immediately forgettable.

MSNBC: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (Vaulted)

Chris asked the same inside-the-Beltway questions and would not listen to any of Bernie's answers because they weren't what Chris the inside-the-Beltway-bias machine wanted to hear. Did Chris ask what might happen if the Democrats get back control of the Senate? No. He just wanted to play gotcha so people could dismiss Bernie's ideas as impossible and bunkum and pie-in-the-sky. Yup, that's bias. -

A good job? Really? Chris is a corporate media/Beltway insider who let his bias hang out there for the whole nation to see. Bernie answered Chris's questions, just didn't give the answers Chris wanted to hear. As far as the characterizations of Bernie supporters as angry or Bernie's policies as bunkum, those things are outside of the answers I'm allowed to give here. -

Chris Matthews has a town hall at Univ of Chicago with Bernie Sanders. Instead of listening to Bernie, Chris keeps asking the same inside-the-beltway questions over and over and over and over again despite Bernie basically giving him the same answer. Then there was the interrupting and the not listening and the spitting. Part 1 Part 2 STFU, Chris. STFU. -
I mournfully skipped yesterday's buildup so I could watch today. All I could think at the end after the mysteriously disappearing custodians of the crime scene so that S&C could have one of their patented scenes was when Sonny stepped in, he was telegraphing to Carly, "hey, baby, you know, I can really fuck you now, right?" And that's all Carly could hear after that. Blech.

The Shannara Chronicles - General Discussion

That's why it's so funny. I don't get what the big deal is, though. :eyes: But if I say any more, I'll get in trouble, so I'll shut up now. -
S01.E04: 100% Not Guilty

Re: the opening scene and the clubbing and partying and cocaine and the plastic "women," is that really how OJ expressed his alpha maleness as a man in his mid/late forties? Maybe I'm out of touch because I've never been to LA, but that scene just seems so adolescent. -
The Shannara Chronicles - General Discussion

Well, Wil being the man, I was relating the comment specifically to an example in my own life that made me laugh, my Dad, my almost stepmother, and me, his daughter. Step-monster and I hated each other for the first ten years or so of their relationship, but then we decided that hey, she's not going anywhere, well, she's not going anywhere either, we may as well try to get along. He cringes every time we talk to each other when he's not around because he knows we're talking about him and he hates it. That's what made me laugh. Maybe I shouldn't have been so gender-specific in my comment, but with what Wil is going through, he's already slept with Eretria and he almost slept with Amberle in Utopia, so he seems to have feelings for both women, they know it, and so now he wants them to hate each other so he can have an easier time relating to them and sorting things out for himself. ETA: The Wikipedia ratings have each episode hovering around 1M viewers. Not sure what that means, though. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Shannara_Chronicles#Episodes -
The Shannara Chronicles - General Discussion

One LOL moment was when Wil said at the beginning that he thought he liked things better when Amberle and Eretria weren't friends. A man's life is always easier when he can pit the women in his life against each other with himself above the fray. I was surprised that they had made it all the way down to San Francisco from the more wooded, wetter, darker, greener areas in the Pacific Northwest that they started in. I'm wondering about that as well, how they traveled so far so fast. It's about 650 miles from even Portland to San Francisco, 800 from Seattle. Maybe they have worm holes? One thing that's weird, I'm over 50, but I was about the age of the three leads when I read the first three books, so I think that's why I'm appreciating this show as much as I am. It's sort of like flashing back to a younger self, which is kind of cool. -
TC is back to being 'roid puffy again. Too bad. If I remember right, he looked fairly normal/good during Bric. And yes, please, enough with the skeevy Nik/Hayden sex scenes. Please. Maybe Nina could be there because she's Nathan's sister and Nathan is Maxie's date and Maxie belongs there because she planned the wedding? And she works for teh groom? Anyway, I can't even with Nanco. They are an automatic FF for me. I didn't catch it in time today and hearing them talk about their fantastic sex made me throw up a little in my mouth again. I took nearly a two-week break because of the inanity of the Monster Heater and helpless Sam, so now I come back and I get treated to another damsel in distress, this time frail little Lulu. It's like they're just lather/rinse/repeating on all of the tropes now. Re: the wedding, I am so sick of NLG acting like she's 14 and never seen a naked chest before. And I so did not buy the overacting at the house with the tears and the "my girls." But OTOH, I thought the dress was really quite stunning, original, just different and unique enough. And flashing back, they did really great with Carly's dress when at the non-Cranco wedding, too.

I couldn't watch the slaughterhouse scenes either. And I didn't even recognize Josh Duhamel as Frank Dunning. He's come a long way from the lovable Leo of AMC. I think I'm almost glad Hulu is doing the standard release rather than Netflix-style. This thing is so dark and scary, I don't know if I could handle binge-watching it.

I hope this is the right place for this. I laughed so hard. -
No, the character of Franco he played with relish and glee on General Hospital who was a psychotic artist/serial killer who the head writer with the Franco boner made into a centerpiece of the show and now the character now played by an almost as skeevy Roger Howarth will not go away.
-
Seething at and not forgiving the fact that this was polluted by the casting of James fricking Franco, he of the psychotic artist serial killer/art therapist who still resides in Port Charles. Blech.

Regarding where the top of the fortress/home was filmed from, the skyline view is of downtown west across the Willamette River from inner Southeast, which is a heavily industrial area. But there is a red-faced brick building at 563 SE Hawthorne Blvd. that has the exact same windows as the building someone pointed out earlier looks like an apartment building. It's county offices.

Brilliant bit stunt casting of Tuc Watkins and Cassie DePaiva, two OLTL vets, as the husband wife.

Well, I discovered the moment I started hating David Rosen -- down boy indeed, you crass, amoral asshole. I re-watched the Mellie/Olivia stuff multiple times. I loved every minute of them getting real with each other, especially over some of Mellie's family's really good hooch. I knew the second Fitz sat down with age-appropriate reporter that he'd be boning her before the end of the episode. A date? Oh, puhleeze. ETA -- where the fuck is Cyrus's young, handsome husband? Has this been addressed onscreen? And I also thought Jake and Olivia at the beginning having anonymous sex was kinda hot.

Is it me or are the producers trying to make it not quite so cushy and luxurious out there, at least to start out?
-
Tedious and tiresome. Yes, MB is pregnant. Get over it already.

Louis's mock-cross of Sheila was heartbreaking, from both sides, but I never thought Sheila would break that easily. I thought she was made of stronger stuff than that, which was why she was such a good match for Louis.

I agree, there was entirely too much scenery-chewing by everybody in this episode. I'm new to the Arrow universe, but Malcolm Merlyn has almost achieved Hans Gruber/Hannibal Lecter/Maleficent level villain love for me. It's not just that John Barrowman is beautiful and oh so capable, but kill Malcolm and you kill so much source potential for continuity of story. By contrast, on my favorite soap, leading man is an antihero and so the show brings in enemy after enemy after enemy for him to inevitably defeat. It's lather/rinse/repeat because the leading man can't lose and a total snore. I mean, I can even see MM leading Darkh down the primrose path with this William tip just because MM always has a hidden agenda and you never know what he's going to do next.

I don't disagree that the actor is capable. Maybe I'm just having Gandalf/Dumbledore expectations for my wizard -- oh, sorry, druid guide. I have always pictured Allanon with the hooded cape and the staff, shrouded in mystery. -

This is growing on me. I can't wait until they're all out so I can sit and binge-watch from beginning to end. And I still think that Allanon is badly miscast. Allanon should be cerebral, older, wiser, not so macho and beefy. -
S.T.U.P.I.D. Who gives a rat's ass about the Paris Hilton of Long Island?

Axe is definitely not Nicholas Brody. I'm just not feeling the same lust for Axe that I did for Brody. I still haven't figured out why yet. Axe saves his friend's ass by covering the short, and then he leaves him stranded up in Canada -- that was cold. I loved the backstage Metallica stuff. I'm on about my third re-watch of this. I think I'll keep letting it play. This made the buy/sell/short stuff more understandable to me than anything else I've ever watched. I know fundamentally how a short works, though, so maybe that helps.
