  1. I'm quite sure Hulu has these episodes the day after they air.
  2. I fully agree that Michael felt he was protecting Danielle in that sense of being her "knight in shining armor" by rescuing her from a troubled marriage. I should have clarified. I didn't feel Michael was trying to protect her from law enforcement by covering for her but instead I believe she somehow manipulated him into believing that she needed to escape her marriage, and he took it upon himself to kill Sam.
  3. I'm not sure I believe her boyfriend was protecting her. Is it possible she may have had him so wrapped around her finger that she led him to believe that doing this was the best thing, while still letting him believe it was his idea? She seemed kind of devious like that to me. I realize every show has to have its own slant, but based on what was shown, I wasn't convinced he was lying, but at the same time, I think she was being untruthful!
  4. I'd have to agree. This show is so far removed from what it once was. I can no longer stand Adalind and Juliette/Eve, both of whom I didn't mind in small doses before. I'm even starting to dislike Nick, and for whatever reason, Teresa was getting on my nerves during this episode, and I wasn't feeling Meisner at all. This Black Claw thing is really, really boring me to tears. Is this just another shiny new toy that will turn out like the Royals and the Keys, somewhat secretive and mystical, but ultimately leads nowhere? The Wesen of Week was, at least, fairly interesting. The way some of the scenes were shot, I thought, was a small shout-out to Jaws.
  5. I really have no problem with Travolta as Shapiro. I know it has been a lot of years, but my recollection of Shapiro was that he always looked like a wax mannequin, and I think Travolta is pulling that off.
  6. I would rather be objective, but to me nothing this woman said rang true. The angle she claimed to have shot at was the first thing that bothered me, but her "sex" journal was beyond ridiculous. Let's not even talk about her fake tears. If I were a defense attorney, the first thing I would do would be to advise my client just to tell their story and not to fake tears if there were none to fake. Nothing says guilty more than crying with no real tears. Blech! I think I will go check out the Deadwood Quote thread and see what fun I can come up with!
  7. I don't have Netflix and didn't see this, but I've paid attention to it in the media. I have no opinion about Steven Avery one way or the other, but I do think law enforcement screwed his nephew over, and he is the one I really feel for. He was obviously coached into his confession and then arrested for it. My head hurts just thinking about it.
  8. I understand looking at things from a patient's point of view can be colored by all of our different experiences with doctors and hospitals, and I want both sides to be fairly portrayed, but I think Christa's point of view is supposed to take precedent, if only because we are getting know her and she is the character we are following. That doesn't make her in the right, in fact, far from it. I think this show does a good job in depicting human weaknesses. Humans are fallible, be they doctors, judges, social workers or whatever. Emotions affect everyone differently, and I like the way this show is developing these characters based on their different experiences, and even learning and growing from them.
  9. is there really a word only acceptable in one forum? You simply must share this word with me!
  10. Well of course she is! I'm disappointed but not surprised. We can't really have a relationship without uneasiness can we?
  11. Donald Trump saying he could shoot someone and still not lose voters was sad yet pitifully true. It's almost as if he is calling out his supporters for their blind ignorance.
  12. I really, really like this show, and I think it can stand as a drama on its own without going into this kind of soapy territory.
  13. Interesting parallel between Heather and Leanne with Heather making a call that went against the direction of her superiors and then being chastised by Leanne for it. At least Leanne secretly admired her for it, even though she feigned indignation. I don't usually invest in ships about TV couples, but Neal and Christa seem sweet together, and I hope that their relationship doesn't eventually turn into a drama-fest because that is the main reason I don't normally buy into and/or care for ships.
  14. So funny! My sister does the same thing, and I started doing the same, giving some ridiculous answers. It has since become a standing joke between us. Now whenever she calls, she always asks "Now, what you doing?" just to see what I'm going to say.
  15. Whether it is worth the watch, I guess is subjective, but I'm enjoying it. The first episode of the season, I thought, was a bit boring, but things got progressively better and, yes, plenty of the Mills sisters.
  16. This Plot Twist bothers me. I think Dan's motive for supposedly killing Sam was lame, and I don't like that investigators lied to get a confession. Nothing pisses me off more than cops trying to get a confession using deceptive methods. Did he do it? He may well have, and I really have no idea, but this boys and girls, is why you never talk to the police without a lawyer!
  17. I loved Christa's Freudian slip. LOL, there was no other way to interpret her statement other than what it was, yet she just brushes past it like "that's not what I meant." What else could she have possibly meant? It was probably my favorite moment of the episode, if not the series, and I am by no means a shipper. If anything, I am an antishipper, but there is no denying there is some sizzle between these two.
  18. Agreed! I like Leanne too, but I think a serving of humble pie might have been in order. Her decision goes sideways for a time, but to quote Neal "All's well that ends well," so I'm convinced that this had no huge impact on her. I know she admits to Malaya that she had let her down, but it still seemed like she was justifying herself and felt she was above criticism. In any case, I am glad the show gave us some conflict between the characters about this, because if they had simply painted Leanne as incredibly brave and heroic she would have fast fallen into unlikable territory for me.
  19. Wasn't Tessa on the 2-on-1 from Andy Baldwin's season? She went on to become F1, but it's been a while, so maybe I am not remembering correctly.
  20. Oh I don't care if GRRM is a gardener. The fact remains he needs to tend to his garden in order for it to grow, and it's obvious he has long neglected it. It's covered with weeds and parched from lack of nourishment. I'm pretty much over the books at this point. He can write or not write for all I care. I doubt I will read any more of them. I think this thread Title should be renamed from Book 6 will arrive someday to Book 6 will arrive somebody (or will it?) or to Book 6 may arrive some day.
  21. If I recall, in Murder House, you didn't need to be in the house when you died to be trapped there, only on the property (I remember Jessica Lang trying to drag her daughter's dying body to the property so she would return), so I imagine that even though Sally died outside of the hotel, she may have still landed on the property, whereas Donovan was put into the street.
  22. I really like that Stephen has been inviting unconventional guests. I know his ratings haven't been the best, but I love that he thinks outside of the box and gives the audience a broader perspective. Even my dad (a card-carrying Republican) watches him, over the other late-night shows, which tickles me to death.
  23. I might actually watch this season. Ben is cute in an "aw shucks" sort of way, and in most cases, it seems like he can string together words in a way to pull off a complete sentence. Also I like the idea (producer driven or not) that someone might actually focus on something other than lip locking to decide if there is a connection.
  24. Weird that you brought this up as I was just talking to my sister about this case since she reminded us of someone we both know. This must have aired quite some time ago, and I couldn't even remember where I saw it. The thing that really struck me is that Stacey's eyes were so dead. I may have seen it somewhere other than Dateline, but I definitely remember this story.
