Major holidays do not just sneak up on someone like a freak weather event. As someone who thinks it's fucking bullshit that stores are closed for religious holidays like Christmas and Easter and but not for 4th of July I still understand how the country works and shop accordingly.

I ordered cat litter the other day and it was going to be delivered on Wednesday. It's now scheduled to be delivered today, yay. BUT I feel really bad for the AMZL driver who has to deliver it, by 8pm on XMAS eve.

The kitten-cat has been sleeping under the covers every night and insists on being on my lap whenever it's not bedtime. He's normally clingy but this is really out of character. I'm hoping once the staples come out and he no longer has to wear his tiny-tee and bandages he'll be back to his normal self.

I feel ya, @Hanahope. At a previous job the support staff were all contractors. Our parent company did nothing and we were surrounded by employees who worked for the actual company who went on and on about their awesome holiday parties, bonuses, etc... It's always frustrating when there may, or may not be an office closure. I understand some of it may be HR related in regards to pay-laws but it's still annoying.

I took the kittencat back to the vet for a bandage change. He was a very good boy while I was gone but going into the long weekend I wanted to make sure everything was healing (it is). The doctor made him a new t-shirt to wear and attached it to his bandages. I'm sure he will figure out how to crawl of out of this one too but every day he wears it is another day he's not trying to eat his bandages. He tried to sleep on my chest last night, which worked for awhile but I had to move him next to me and he didn't move from his spot all night. The cat-cat took up residence on the other side of me, but not right next to me and also didn't move. I was so beat Monday night when I finally got home that I wasn't able to stay awake to give them the cattention they wanted. I think I made up for it yesterday.

I would suggest following up again. I seriously got my offer for my current job on December 30th (I was wine tasting with friends when I got the call). My first interview was in early November (or super late October) and I saw the position was marked as 'filled' on one of the job websites but when I followed up anyway they said they hadn't made a decision.

The kitten-cat managed to rub out all his stitches by rolling around on the carpet so he's now the proud owner of staples, a hot pink bandage and a make-shift wrap that he's already crawled out of. He is acting all put-out with his new outfit and slept under the covers, curled up right next to me all night. Poor baby. I leave for my trip tomorrow morning and have a pet sitter scheduled to come in. Normally I leave them for 2 days but it's been super cold and I want them to check and make sure he's still wearing his wrap. Not that they'll be able to put it back on him since he hides.

I don't have an intolerance or allergy but I hate cooked bell peppers and am constantly picking them out of frozen meals.

I love Denali! Good news on the kitten-cat front. The vet was super responsive over the weekend via email and I brought him in today to take a look at the area where he took the stitch out. She said it's healing just fine and she doesn't see a need to make it worse just to staple it. And they didn't even charge me!
