  1. There was too much time devoted to the B story this week, but I'm glad Poppernak is OK. He's my favorite supporting character. I hate that Donno is so entertaining. "I want to ride a white horse. I'll call it Gandalf." He weirded out the other creepy character, Sunny, ha. Jenny and Beau have a little chemistry but they seem to be sticking with the friend route for now, which is good. He's obviously still a little hung up on the ex. I missed the dialogue between Avery and Luke and need to rewatch. But Luke, having the worst vacay ever, lol. Avery, Donno, Tonya all popping up to threaten him. Donno: "Chop chop!" Cassie deserves a break. Hopefully Cormac isn't aware of mom's shady side. They're cute together and have crazy chemistry. I liked Buck at the beginning but I don't think he's making it through the season.

That was a great rally by the Padres. They were looking off tonight, and Musgrove ended up with a quality start, but was a bit shaky. But I trust Musgrove and Darvish to make adjustments and Musgrove did. And as random as the Padres hitting can be, they stepped up at the right time. The bats might have gone cold for the Dodgers but the Padres starting pitching and bullpen are solid and shouldn't be overlooked. I love San Diego, and the atmosphere at Petco is amazing. I'm thrilled they can rally around this team, this year and in the future too. I'm bummed for my local Mariner fans, but jeez, that was a a battle. I can't wait to see them next year. Go Guardians!

The fans love to cheer for Ha-seong Kim when he's at bat, if that's what you heard.

Blake Snell was pretty dialed in tonight. The offense on both sides with RISP was clunky and not particular pretty to watch. But I continue to be impressed with the Padres bullpen. Suarez, Martinez, Garcia and Hader. With momentum, insane energy at Petco, and a fired up SD native Musgrove on the mound tomorrow, I'm hopeful the Padres can upset and clinch at home. The odds say the Mariners are likely out tomorrow but I'll be rooting for them to hang on. I live in the PNW and unfortunately for the fans and games here, the smoke from wildfires is really bad and might be worse over the weekend. It's sad to see how bad it's getting and so late in the year.

The Padres have played better on the road than at home this season, but Petco will be absolutely rocking on Friday. Snell and Musgrove just need to be in good form, and it's anyone's game. I'm bored with the Dodgers and rooting still for the underdogs to shake things up. Go Padres and Mariners. Hopefully the good luck Goose was OK after being taken off the field.

I hope I don't have to eat my words, but this is one of the first times this year that it finally feels like Padres are aligned with starting pitching being on, having a solid bullpen, and Hader back in form, all at the same time. The offense has been the Padres issue this year, but I'm hopeful that they are turning a corner there, at the perfect time. I think it will be a competitive matchup.

Showalter embarrassed himself. Musgrove is a stellar pitcher, and I'm thrilled he didn't let that shady move throw him off. Onto the Dodgers, who are always tough. But the Padres seem to be gelling, which has taken a bit. Getting Grisham and Bell going is huge.

That was a terrifying collision. I hope he's ok. The injury protocols seem like they could be better all around. It was horrifying watching Profar collapse awhile back while being walked off the field, not even being supported. Glad the Mariners are holding on though.

As a Seattle based Padres fan with a major soft spot for the Mariners, I'm very happy today. Go underdogs!
  10. I still enjoy the heck out of this crazy show. It does almost seem (semi) normal compared to the past couple of seasons, ha, at least for now. Even Jenny seemed less obnoxious than usual. That beginning scene with the lone hiker was so unbelievably tense. I've always liked Reba, who knew she could do creepy so well? Is the husband in the know about the creepy serial killer son hanging in the woods? I couldn't believe the city couple that just decided to keep hanging out away from camp after they heard the eerie music. Have they never seen a horror movie? Run, idiots! Jerri and Lindor being together offscreen was a surprise - didn't he essentially choose Cassie last season? I still love both characters and hope they return. Jensen fits right into the cast - I'm sure the show will pair him with Jenny, since Cassie has the flirt going with Reba's (also evil?) son but I really like the three of them as friends, doing movie night. Donno is still hilarious, and I do kind of miss Ren.
  11. I don't usually do this sort of thing, but Ghosts did a very cute campaign on Facebook where you can text to book your stay. I couldn't help but do it, lol. I booked the Scout Sleeper, or "as Pete calls it, the Friendzone!" ha. I love this show, and can't wait for S2. It's like the comfort food of TV.
  12. I just got to see Taylor's final speech...she absolutely killed it. At the beginning of the season, I never would have imagined she could make it to the end. I'm so happy for her. And winning AFP, whoo! I was hoping she'd get to feel the love from the viewers. The stage setup seemed so clinical and odd. I like Joseph, and still Michael to a point. The rest can be gone. Glad Jasmine's ankle finally healed. Lol. It was a typically ugly season, but at least there was a lovely winner. For once!
  13. I'm so happy to be spoiled, I may actually watch now lol. Congrats to Taylor! An amazing win for her.
  14. Is Taylor ineligible for AFP since she's F2?
  15. What an amazing episode. I love Willie Jack, with all of her tough exterior, because she just breaks out with things that need to be said, and has a lot of empathy, just like Cheese. She was honest with Hokti about the elders not always being there for them, and then honest with her friends, that no, they aren't all fine. And her occasional snark is so good, even in little bits in the heavier episodes - "can you repeat the rules?" to the guard. Lol. The scene with the spirits in the prison behind Willie Jack was so well-done. And also Hokti adding Willie Jack and the others to the visitor list at the end. What a career. I wouldn't have guessed that he wasn't an actor - he seemed like a natural. I loved the convo between him and Willie Jack. I'm thrilled about a S3 - this show deserves it!
  16. I really haven't paid much attention lately, but wow, Taylor and Monte? How did that happen? This is the weirdest season. But I do love that Taylor has stuck it out this long.
  17. Michael was evicted? (West Coast viewer). Bummer. I can't say I love and adore the guy, but he certainly has been solid with playing the game. I'm going to need Taylor to somehow pull off a miracle and win. Everyone else would kind of suck.
  18. Amazing how the week has turned. I totally thought Kyle would be cruising to the end. I've soured on much of the cast, like most seasons, but at least it sounds like the feeds have been entertaining. I give Michael credit for truly playing the game, even if this particular move was a bit gross. I don't really care who wins this season as much as I'm hoping Alyssa and Terrence don't. At least Terrence has stepped up and actually played lately though. Brittany is meh with crazy eyes, Taylor will hopefully win AFP, Alyssa cries a lot and gave up a boyfriend back home for 10 sec inflatable sex with a Tik Tok twerking mama's boy. (Why?). Turner gets points for his expressions during Jasmine's self-promotional b-day party, but is otherwise ick. I detract points from myself for finding him entertaining for awhile. Good to know Daniel and his allegedly large member are still disgusting. This is a great cast for Zingbot, if they were actually allowed to do zings. Go Taylor for AFP, which is all I really care about this season!
  19. I've tuned out lately because I'm so tired of Kyle and Alyssa, the brain trusts that they are. I kinda wanted Eyebrows to go home, but now I agree with keeping her around for entertainment. Go not-Kyle for HOH.
  20. I'm so annoyed that we don't get to see Jasmine hobbling around in the outside yard. She would self-eliminate in about 2 days. The overnight temps sound delightful, but *I* would self-eliminate if I had to be out in 90 degree heat all week. So maybe I shouldn't mock Jasmine, lol. I don't want to Joseph to go, and Turner and Jasmine provide comic relief. Kyle (a new BECs) is turning out to be another ant in the BB house...permanent. Ugh.
  21. Such a simple and beautiful episode. Devery did an incredible job with the minimal dialogue. Yes, this describes it perfectly. You could see the tug of war with Elora as she was embraced by the community and her ties to it, but still has that desire to life the life her aunt did. Leaving, traveling. I love watching her character just absorb all that's going on around her. Jackie seemed to realize that Elora isn't hitting the road to Cali again just yet. I adore Willie Jack and her reactions to tales from her dad's youth, lol. I thought Elora and Bear would have a moment at the end, but her getting to say goodbye to her grandmother was a touching moment. The spirit continues to be the best, bringing wisdom and hilarity. "She has that testicle pain."
  22. More than most seasons, I feel pretty confident that neither of these couples will last (hot take, I know!). I think the audience isn't getting to see a lot, because of having to cover both bachelorettes in the usual two hour episodes, and maybe we just aren't seeing these "connections" but Gabby's time seems to be all about her issues with her mom, and Rachel just mopes, and then makes out with her next date. Plus, I just find both final guys kind of smarmy, lol.
  23. Delurking briefly because I am realllly trying to wrap my head around the idea of Jasmine helping another person. I can only imagine her lounging around and relentlessly bitching, while minions fan her and feed her grapes, pickles, and popsicles. Also, Monte - ugh. What a catch.

I am so incredibly disappointed in him. He has so much raw talent, but he seems to be missing maturity and his brains lately. Thank goodness the team got Soto, Bell, and Drury, but I can't imagine this is good for morale right now. Dumbass, indeed.
