  1. Like some others here, I followed 538 as long as Hillary was in the 80% range for winning, but now I don't even look at it. I just read on another forum that some people have switched from Nate Silver to Sam Wang because they feel his figures are more accurate. I haven't checked him out yet, but plan to. I think that right now I just want someone who will tell me what I want to hear - LOL!
  2. I found this thread just in time! My anxiety level is through the roof right now, so it sure helps to find a place with like minded individuals. I'm usually a news junkie, but haven't been able to watch the news for the past week. Reading online allows me to make the decision whether or not I want to open a link based on the headline. One thing for sure, I've never used the mute button on my TV as much as over the past few weeks.....I cannot look at or listen to that disgusting piece of shit or his minions, especially that moron Kelly Ann. Thanks for being here, folks; I'm depending on you all to help me get through the next 48 plus hours.
  3. I am SO going to miss the class, grace and elegance of President and Michelle Obama!
  4. I'm wondering how they managed to keep Ginger's wedding today a secret when they had a thousand guests (according to People online). Now, at least we know what the next episode is going to be about. I have to say I liked Ginger's dress much more than her sisters' dresses. She looked lovely.
  5. Before Danielle went to meet Mo, she said something about getting fixed up so he would see what he was missing. Well, I don't know what miracle she and her daughter expected to perform, but she looked as unkempt as she always does. As for Mo, he should be looking for another woman to pay his way now that the blonde has dumped him; at least until he is (hopefully) sent back to Tunisia.
  6. I can't stand Danielle, but when Mo told her that she made him give up everything, I wish she had said "I didn't make you give up anything and I don't owe you anything" before walking out on him. Now I'm hoping she doesn't cave and goes through with the annulment.
  7. Why in the hell does Bravo insist on subjecting other countries to these disgusting women? I've been to Ireland and am so embarrassed by their horrible behavior. The screeching, the fighting, the lack of manners, and the lack of respect for those lovely Irish people makes me sick. I know Kelly is a big time asshole, but Tamra's meltdown was so unbelievable. She had the right to be upset, but her performance in the vehicle with Shannon was piss poor acting at best. Oh well, a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do to keep their orange.
  8. Leave it to James to suggest houseguests get into a showmance. I'm surprised he didn't suggest they forget about the game and concentrate on trying to win Favorite Houseguest. I wish they would have put someone in the house who was interested in playing the game instead of him. No. More. Showmances!!!
  9. Skycatcher, I'd give you 1,000 likes for your post if I could! What I'd give to see this game played like it started out. I'm so sick of watching adults acting like lovestruck teenagers and making stupid showmances more important than playing the game. It doesn't help when CBS makes showmances the focus of an entire episode. They've turned BB into a dating game show. Oh what I'd give to see houseguests vote their conscience instead of 'voting with the house', not telling people ahead of time they're going home, and NOT laying in bed all freakin' day! Those are just a few of the changes that have turned Big Brother into a shit show.
  10. Wwhat a shit show! Thirty minutes of flashbacks, twenty-five minutes devoted to showmances, and five whole minutes of the HOH comp. Screw you, Grodner!
  11. I just can't get on board with the Nat and James lovefest. Someone needs to tell Nat the meaning of soulmate. That term is usually used when talking about someone you're madly in love with. Nat hasn't indicated that she's IN love with him. Saying "Love you James" is the same as me saying "love you" to my sister, best friend, etc. When you're confined to a small space with others for a prolonged time, you do form bonds, but then you go back to real life and things change. I just can't see Natalie wanting any more than a friendship with James because, to be honest, he doesn't seem to have much ambition and is happy to be a D list celeb, hanging out in bars for free drinks. Being a cheerleader, Nat has hung around guys who are more sophisticated, better educated and have so much more to offer than James. Nope, I don't see them happening.
  12. I don't see Nat and James lasting after the show. She seems to be ambitious with goals for her future, while he doesn't seem to have any goals or drive. After his first season he has said that he loved going to the bars because he'd get all of his drinks bought for him because of the show. If they did try for a relationship, I think she'd quickly outgrow him and move on to a guy who has much more to offer than James does.
  13. This has been a horrible season of BB. I watch the show to see good game play, not people who want to "make good TV", win AFP, or participate in a stupid showmance. I'm sick of Nat's whining about everyone hurting her heart (maybe she should get out of bed long enough to socialize, rather than isolating herself from everyone except James). The others might like her if she spent a little time with her. Besides being a whiner, she's immature and can't let anything go. Then there's James. He is so pathetically desperate, focused on AFP rather than the game (and needs to wash that greasy hair!) I don't think any of these couples will make it outside the house, and frankly, I don't give a crap since matchmaking isn't what this show is supposed to be about. There are enough other shows that cover people looking for romance!
  14. I have a question. Why does Bethenny have the luxury of having her relationship with a married man be off-limits while she calls Luann a slut and discusses the Tom story with anyone who will listen? Then she pretends she's telling Luann ON CAMERA out of concern for the woman. I believe Lu should have been told, but by a friend, not a coworker who had recently called her a whore and slut. Again, why is Beth screwing a married man O.K. and off-limits?
  15. I love Victor's personality, and thought he was so cute when talking to Julie. I have to smile when I read others' descriptions of him because among the things they like about him is that "he cleans". Just goes to show what impresses us!
  16. Wow! Those movements in the Corey and Nicole video sure aren't caused by restless leg syndrome! Nicole and Z should have tried out for Bachelor in Paradise since they care more about showmances than game play (and for Nicole, this her second showmances in as many seasons). To me, she and Corey are this year's Amanda and McCray (or however you spell his name). Yuck! I hate, hate, hate players from other seasons coming back, the buy backs, people who treat BB like its summer camp and players like Corey, who don't do a fucking thing in the game or for the game. IMO, he's a big dumb jock and a waste of space. Nicole and James are right behind him on my unlikeability list. Of course, Paulie tops the list. And production, with all their interference, tops a special list of their own! Used to love this show; now? Not so much.
  17. Unlike many others, I don't find Corey at all attractive. Maybe it's that he always has this vacant look in his face when someone is talking, like they're speaking in a foreign language. I don't see any personality or sense of humor in the guy. When Nicole said he's the best looking guy she's ever seen, I thought "You don't get out much, do you?" But then, I think Ubly's population is only a few hundred. I don't live far from there, but I'm in a much larger city. I find Victor to be much better looking than Corey, but it could be that I enjoy his personality and sense of humor.
  18. Nat's main reason to get rid of Paul seems to be because he talked about her fake boobs. Good lord, the only ones playing Big Brother are Victor, Paul and Michelle. Nic and Corey spend all their time in bed playing with each other, amd Nat keeps going on and on about the FT and anything else that has hurt her little feelings. James is so busy reassuring her all the time and trying to convince America that his actions are actually game play that he is useless. Supposedly, the people in the jury house aren't allowed to talk about the game, but you know they do. That's why I hate any player coming back; they've seen their goodbyes and also compared notes with the others. Doesn't seem fair to me. Another thing that pisses me off is having nine jurors deciding the winner. Some of these people have been out of the game for 6-7 weeks, so they have no idea of what game play has been going on (except for other jurors' opinions). TPTB should make a five person jury, or seven at the most. Of course this is just my opinion.
  19. After the fifth person goes to the jury house, the following HOH comp will include the five evictees. The houseguest who lasts longest gets HOH and the evictee who lasts longest returns to the house. That's how it was done at the previous buy back.
  20. So Cody's film was actually screened at Cannes? If they allow drivel like that, Cannes no longer impresses me. I guess any independent film can get in, no matter how amateurish.
  21. I just watched the trailer for Cody's movie "What Happened Last Night". The two main characters are a guy and a girl. Cody is a buddy of the main guy, along with two other guys. The cast lists about 125 people, like "beer pong guy" and "pedestrian"......lol! I read that Paulie was telling Corey about the film and said Cody has the most lines and that the movie was screened at the Cannes Film Festival (yeah, right!). From the trailer, this movie ranks right up there with other films about college kids and their hijinks with lots of testosterone. High school and college kids will enjoy it. It comes out in November.
  22. Watching Paulie go from arrogant, "I was bred for this game" asshole to whiny, tantrum throwing toddler is glorious! He was so sure he'd win the $500,000 (with the aid of Cody and Derrick) and be remembered for his superior gameplay. He'll be remembered alright, but it will be for being a crybaby and poor sport. When people talk about who had the worst sportsmanship behavior, Paulie's name will always come up. That will be his legacy.
  23. I can't believe that Paulie has asked Natalie not to leave him a mean good-bye message. If I was her I'd have said "No problem. I'll leave you the same kind of message you'd leave me." Oh how the mighty have fallen...couldn't have happened to a more deserving person. Good riddance, dickhead!
  24. I have a question about the co-HOH nominations. I've read that they have to agree on the nominations, and then I've read that they each get to nominate whoever they want. Which is it?
