That's why I never open those links. I see posts with anywhere from two to a dozen or so links like that, and I'm impressed that people actually spend so much of their time looking for and posting them, but I personally don't have the time to waste reading them.

Besides, the millionaires/billionaires he hired for his cabinet are going to kiss his big, fat orange ass and tell him exactly what he wants to hear, and what he seems to want is to provoke every other country in the world. We all may as well bend over and kiss our asses goodbye because we are royally fucked with this mad man in charge.

News flash, Trump had absolutely nothing to do with getting the drone back. The agreement for its return was made before Trump even posted his stupid tweet. Those little fingers of his love to busy themselves commenting on things before he even knows what's going on. I think we can look forward to much more of the same with Asshole running, oops, I mean ruining the country over the next four years. The Scots aren't the only ones dealing with Trump wanting to build walls around his golf courses. In County Clare, Ireland, he's trying to do the same thing because there has been erosion due to the "climate change" that he doesn't believe in. There is a group there who are hoping he gets to build his wall because they're hoping to get the contracts. Most people (including friends of mine) in County Clare don't want it though and, so far, fatass hasn't been able to get permission for it. If he does eventually get to build his god damn wall, I hope those workers who are backing him do get the contracts and end up getting screwed over big time. It'll serve them right for not bothering to do a little research to find out what a con artist he is.

Can someone explain to me why we taxpayers are paying for Trump's self aggrandizing tours? He's not the President yet, even though he seems to think he is and the press is covering him as if he were. I can understand having to pay for security, but to pick up the tab for the other costs seems like bullshit to me.

I can't wait to watch Oprah's interview with Michelle Obama on Monday night. I watched a clip earlier and her remarks about having an adult in the White House and about not having hope were such a great burn on Trump. On his show tonight, Lawrence O'Donnell showed clips of how presidential Obama sounded in today's press conference as compared to how unpresidential Trump sounded on his self-congratulation tour stop today. Does this guy think he's still on the campaign trail? Also, O'Donnell, along with Rachel and Chris Hayes, seemed to enjoy playing the clip where President Obama said (about the Republicans' love of Putin) that Ronald Reagan would roll over in his grave - lol! eta: candall, I didn't see your post covering the Reagan quote before posting myself.

Watching President Obama's end of year press conference, I'm struck by how poised, eloquent, articulate, knowledgeable, forthcoming and personable he is. He is so likable and has a great sense of humor. I am going to miss that dear man more than words can express. Although I refuse to watch Trump's press conferences (if he even has them), I will have to watch the first one so I can watch him make a complete fool of himself. With his limited vocabulary and lack of knowledge, not to mention his short attention span, it should be a real hoot. Knowing that buffoon, he'll delegate that job to Pence, thereby ruining my fun. eta: edited to correct spelling of future Vice President's name.

I can just picture a press conference. "Mr. President, what do you plan to do about [insert random world problem]? Trump: "Trust me, I have people working on that. They will find a solution and it will be the best solution in the history of the world because they are great men, they are like a fine wine, and they know words."

I don't think we'll see many press conferences from Trump. He doesn't want to do them because the press will ask questions that he can't answer because he doesn't have a clue as to what he's doing. He probably will ban those who ask the hard questions and will only allow those who will ask the softball questions that won't make him show how inarticulate and uninformed he is. Maybe he'll also make the press submit their questions beforehand so he can have someone write out the answers for him to read.

Personally, I decided on November 8th that I would be clad in black from head to toe on inauguration day. May not be a big thing, but will make me feel better and, no, I won't be watching that disgusting ceremony on TV. Instead, I'll probably climb into my wine bottle and dream about what could have been. eta: Luna, I LOVE the idea of a blizzard (the biggest in the history of the world) hitting Washington, starting the night before and continuing all through the day of the inauguration. Gotta start praying to the snow gods!

So, for the first time in 20 years, no D.C. high school bands will be marching in the inaugural parade. I hope this turns out to be the shortest parade "in the history of the world" due to no one wanting to be a part of it. On a purely shallow note, in most photos of Melania, she has the same resting bitch face as her husband. It's hard to find a flattering photo of either of them.

Even though the Army/Navy football teams cheered Trump, he basically said he wasn't impressed with the game. How hard would it have been to just congratulate Army and say something nice about the Navy players? I can't imagine Obama, Clinton or even Bush making a remark like that. Does the pig like anything other than money and his kids? So Trump doesn't need intelligence briefings because he is "a smart man", and doesnt "need to hear the same thing every day for the next EIGHT years." Hopefully we can help him not have to deal with briefings by making sure he's only in the White House for four years at most ( preferably less). I had read about the award Tillerson received from Putin and am not shocked by Trump considering him for SoS. After all, soon-to-be Supreme Leader Trump is Putin's bitch. It is nice, though, to read that John Kerry just received France's highest award, the Legion d'Honneur. i see that Ivanka is trying to get someone to pay $50,000 to have a coffee date with her (with proceeds going to Eric's foundation). So far the bid is at $18,500. They're going to rake in money any way they can during the next four years. Lots of daily stories about fat ass, and I'm trying to get used to it because the media is going to be shoving him down our throats daily for what will seem like forever. Shoot me now!

In Sunday's edition of my local newspaper there was an article by Jenna Johnson of The Washington Post listing 180 of the 238 promises made by Trump during the campaign. The very first one listed cracked me up. Regarding jobs, he said he would create 28 million jobs and "be the greatest jobs president that God ever created." I can't believe that his kids aren't at all embarassed by these kinds of statements. The self aggrandizing would be laughable if it wasn't so pitiful and sad.....sad that a man could be so self unaware and deluded about his importance. I can't stress enough how much I'm going to miss President Obama and his lovely family!

I think it's safe to say that Trump and his band of Cabinet members will be the most uninformed, unprepared and unqualified group to ever run this country. Should be an interesting, as well as scary as hell, four years. I hate to wish time away, but dear god, please make the time fly until we can get rid of this piece of shit and his cronies.

I read about a party that Trump, Bannon and KellyAnn attended last night at the home of one of their biggest donors. The theme was "Villians and Heros". Trump went as himself (you know, the hero), KellyAnn went as Supergirl and Bannon didn't wear a costume (guess all of his sheets were at the laundry). I'm enjoying the hell out of the tweets by Trump supporters now having buyer's remorse. These fools didn't give a shit that Tubby is uninformed, unprepared, and unqualified to serve as President. The real author of The Art of the Deal (forgot his name) said he had a hard time getting Trump to focus more than ten minutes at a time to discuss what was going into the book. His lack of interest (other than having his name on the front cover in bigly letters) shows me that he has no interest in the work entailed in running a country, and is in it only for the glory.

I haven't seen anything here about Trump's conversation with the Pakistani prime minister on Monday (or maybe it was covered on a different thread?) According to the Pakistani government, Trump said to the Prime Minister, "You have a very good reputation. You are a terrific guy. You are doing amazing work, which is visible in every way." Trump also told him his country is amazing, with tremendous opportunities, that Pakistanis are one of the most intelligent people, and that he is ready and willing to play any role that the P.M. wants him to play to address and find solutions to the outstanding problems. He also said to feel free to call him (Trump) anytime, "even before January 20th, that is before I assume my office." Oh, and he told the P.M. that as he was talking to him, he felt like he was talking to a person he has known for a long time. I am speechless (well, not quite)! First of all, four years ago Trump was tweeting how Pakistan is our enemy. Now the P.M. is going to be his BFF? Does he not know that Pakistan is a Muslim country, that they hid and protected Bin Laden for several years, and that they're a breeding ground for terrorists? Does he even know where Pakistan is? Did he even know the name of the Prime Minister prior to their conversation? Does he not know that Pakistan and India are on the brink of a nuclear war and diplomacy is very important in dealing with either of them? Where are his Foreign Affairs advisors and why haven't they duct taped his big, fat orange mouth? Trump's inability to converse with world leaders at a level of intelligence beyond that of a used care salesman is embarrassing and laughable. Quick, someone get the buffoon a Thesaurus so he will stop using the words "tremendous", "amazing", and "terrific" all of the time. As someone else said, he's like the kid who is writing a book report without reading the book. The asshole makes me more stabby each and every day!!! So, while his supporters are telling us we need to unite, the blowhard is still insulting people, whining about the press, and spreading hate. Yeah, that's gonna make me want to play nice....not!

Jesus, that clown can't even be a gracious winner! He should just be happy that Putin, Wikileaks, Comey, and the voter suppression plan came through for him. This is the most god-awful election and result ever ("in the history of the world", to quote Trump). I'm having a hard time imagining the next four years with this buffoon being in the White House with his sleazy sons, his "nice piece of ass" daughter, and his bought and paid for wife. I'm concerned about a dinner I have with friends next week because one of the ladies is a big Trump fan. I've decided that, if she brings it up, I'm going to ask that she hold off until I get a server to box up my dinner and leave because she doesn't want to hear what I have to say. I'm sure that will shut her up.

I just read the whole New York Times article about what Trump has done/is doing to the people in Scotland. Holy crap! Is no one ever going to stand up to this fuckin' bully on behalf of the little guy? It's getting scary out there, folks!
