  1. He's not only raising money for his coronation, he's already started fundraising for the 2020 election!
  2. How about this? Trump tried to take credit for Ford not moving a plant from Kentucky to Mexico (a move that was never going to take place to begin with), is bragging about spending Thanksgiving working to keep Carrier here, and told the CEO of Apple what an accomplishment it would be for HIM (Trump) if HE could get Apple to build a large facility or several large facilities in the U.S. He doesn't want to be bothered with the every day duties of a president; he just wants to do things that will make him look like a hero. In his eyes, that goal, along with the fact that he will make the largest amount of money "in the history of the world" while serving as president (due to his conflict of interest dealings and other shady deals which will be ignored by Congress and the press), will make him the most successful president "in the history of the world".
  3. I wonder if any Trump supporters cringe when they read his tweets. Good lord, Hamilton won 11 Tony's and is sold out for the next year, yet Trump "heard" that its overrated". When it comes to anything having to do with culture or the arts, the clown doesn't have a clue! Does anyone know if Melania has any interests other than mothering Barron? I mean, does she sit on the boards of any charitable groups or get involved in any causes? She has plenty of time for such things, as Barron is in school and she has people who do everything for her. I'd also love to hear Michelle's real opinion of their meeting. I can't help but think that she had to carry the whole conversation and was probably relieved when the meeting was over. I'm having such a hard time accepting what happened on November 8th. I can't imagine no longer watching the beautiful Obama family bring so much class, elegance, love and laughter to the White House. I also don't think we'll ever see a more endearing relationship than the current President and Vice-President have. The Kennedy years were called Camelot, but to me, the past eight years has been my Camelot.
  4. I'm still pissed that Chantel's family still hasn't warmed up to Pedro because of the lying. If I remember correctly, he wanted to tell the truth, but Chantel insisted on keeping the secret. The family should be pissed at her, not him.
  5. I can't believe the things Trump and Co. are doing/planning. Having secret meetings with foreign dignitaries, wanting to keep their emails secret, wanting to criminalize anti-Trump protests, ignoring the First Amendment's freedom of the press rights while making sure the Second Amendment is adhered to, picking the worst of the worst for top positions, promoting Trump's businesses.......the list goes on and on. How many laws is this slimeball and his crew going to be allowed to break? America, as we know it, will never be the same as of January 20th. Also, I suspect that Barron has taken over Trump's Twitter because his recent tweet sound like they were written by a ten year old. eta: On a shallow note, Melania is always squinting, as if she left her glasses at home and is trying to read some far off sign. God, I'm going to miss that elegant, classy, intelligent, fun First Lady Michelle!
  6. A good portion of the people who support Trump have no idea who Richard Spencer is. Like Trump, reading and becoming informed is not their strong suit. As someone said up thread, we're fucked!
  7. HumblePi, a fourth reason that not many Trump supporters post here could be that, after seeing the people he is picking for his cabinet, they're starting to have a case of buyer's remorse. At the rate he's going, I imagine that it won't be long before there are millions suffering from the same thing. I'm not a vindictive or revengeful person, but if and when it happens, I'll be there, gleefully saying "told you so".
  8. Although I won't be attending the inauguration, i will be dressing for the occasion. On January 20th, I will be clad in black from head to toe. Somehow it seem fitting.
  9. On tonight's news there was film of Trump's big ass motorcade (with lights flashing) going to the restaurant, which they said is four freakin' blocks from Trump Tower. I just can't with this clown anymore!
  10. I mentioned this in another thread: I'm wondering if Steve Bannon and Trump's doctor are twins who were separated at birth. They do have similar looks and styles. Both are repulsive and look like they need a shower.
  11. I have to wonder if Steve Bannon and Trump's doctor are twins who were separated at birth. eta: Megan Kelly is on Dr. Phil right now. Should be interesting.
  12. Please, everyone, share the shit out of that ignorant, racist's Facebook post! If she really cared about her family's "undue duress", she'd have used what little brain she has and kept her big, hate filled mouth shut. She deserves every single bit of flack she gets for her actions.
  13. Trump tweeted that he wish he'd have campaigned more in New York and Florida because then he could have won be an even larger margin (paraphrasing). Because of the size of his ego the baboon can't even win gracefully. Nothing is ever enough for that clown, is it? His people are saying that the claims of Trump people harassing minorities, etc. are false, and the non-Trump people harassing his followers are true. I also read that the woman who met up with Hillary while hiking and had Bill take their picture has received death threats. The hatred in this country is mindboggling! I am so, so sad.
  14. I'm speechless! His kids are going to run his businesses AND get top security clearance? I think that whole family believes they can do whatever they want. "Rules? What rules? We don't care about no stinkin' rules! We're the Trumps!"
  15. Why is it that Trump is allowed to get away with things that no other candidate would even consider? He refused to participate in one of the Reublican debates, refused to release his tax returns, and made demands concerning debates. Now he'll probably get to practically live in his penthouse in New York, rather than in the White House; have his kids oversee his his holdings, rather than be put in a blind trust; and get his fraud cases postponed until after the election. Also, Pence is now trying to set it up so their emails can be kept secret!
  16. Good lord! If the buffoon sues everyone who has criticized him, he'll be tied up in the courts long after his reign as dictator-in-chief is over. That KellyAnn is even dumber than he is! Therefore, she'll for sure have a prime position in the White House. Add her to the list of misfits he plans to surround himself with.
  17. windsprints, of course it's all about protocol. All of these people who have called him have criticized him big time, as he has them, but once the election is over, they all are expected to put their real feelings aside and show good sportsmanship. I wouldn't expect any less of them. Personally, I admire the Republicans who didn't think they had to support Trump just because he was the nominee. That would have made them hypocrites, as well as making their party come before the good of the country. That's more distressing to me than them not towing the party line. Although I won't be watching 60 Minutes (I don't care to hear what his four spawn have to say), I hope he DOES do well, although I don't see him coming across as either funny OR smart. I've watched too many of his speeches and interactions with people to expect that.
  18. stewedsquash, I see his tweeting all of the congratulation calls as him believing that all of these people are condoning and supporting all of his bad behavior during his campaign. Mitt Romney really blasted him during the campaign, so his phone call was because it was expected as a politician. I'm sure he hasn't changed his opinion of Trump at all. KellyAnn Conway has said it is Clinton and Obama's place to call for the end of the hate filled stuff that has been going on since the election. I disagree with her; Trump is the one who promoted hate and incited his followers to act like they have been, so HE'S the one who should disavow their behavior AND disavow the KKK and their plan to hold a parade celebrating his win in North Carolina on December 3rd. If he doesn't, it just shows that he is condoning all the shit that is going on.
  19. Of course these people are going to congratulate Trump on his win. That's what decent people do. I guess he doesn't understand the concept since he threatened to not even concede the election if he lost. What's he going to do, tweet every single congrats he gets? He's so damned clueless!
  20. sistermagpie, I also read about him going to an event uninvited (the opening of a new school, I think) and sitting on the stage with the donors, which of course made everyone think he had donated, which he did not. I also read that he had a small caterer do his wedding to Marla Maples and, when presented with the invoice, told her that he wasn't going to pay her because by catering his wedding, she'd get a lot of new business.
  21. I am a strong woman. Four days out from the election, I, like most of the people on this thread, am hurting, disillusioned, and upset. I have still not gone on Facebook, and I haven't watched the news (which is all Trump, all the time); however, that doesn't mean I am living in "a bubble" nor am I a "weak" person. I am a very strong woman who feels like she's been kicked in the gut, and I need a little time to heal. Soon (when I am damned good and ready; probably after the weekend), I will once again watch the news and go to my Facebook page, and be as strong or maybe even stronger than I was before this fiasco of an election. I wouldn't go to a psychiatrist's office if I didn't need one, and I sure wouldn't come to an emotional support group page if I didn't feel the need to be around like-minded people (but that's just me). I live in a small town in mid-Michigan (population under 40,000). This morning a friend called and asked if I had heard what happened to a local gay couple. Having not seen the news lately, I went to our local paper's website and there was a picture of a note that had been left in their mailbox. It said "Faggots get out. Trump Land" and the word out had a swastika in the middle of it. I've heard that these kind of things are happening, but now its happening in my own back yard. Excuse me while I go and look for the biggest safety pin I can find. eta: VMEPICGRL, If I could, I'd give you a thousand likes because I feel the same way.
  22. Tuesday evening, when I saw where the results were headed, I turned off the TV and went to bed. Yesterday morning when my worst nightmare was confirmed, I made the decision to take a break from Facebook, from the news, and from friends/family who are Trump supporters. To those (no one here) who say "Get over it" or "Time to move on", let me just say this: For over a year, that disgusting piece of shit offended me repeatedly, and now I'm suppose to forget about it in a day or two? When I get past being heartbroken and angry, I'll start thinking about "getting over it". Until then, I'm not ready to sing Kumbaya with the people who helped put that buffoon in the White House, nor am I putting a time limit on how long I need to mourn. Donald Trump will NEVER be MY President.
  23. Good lord! The crawl at the bottom of the screen on MSNBC just said that Trump is considering Rudy G for Attorney General and Newt for Secretary of State if he is elected! I just thought of something interesting. Between the three of them, they've had NINE wives, and at least six of them were cheated on while married to these clowns!
  24. To the list of Trump's surrogates who are as deplorable as he is, I have to add his sons. They both remind me of slimy, slick snake oil salesmen. Did Don Jr. actually refer to what happened at Trump's rally the other day as an assassination attempt? I mean, the guy had a cardboard sign that said "Republicans Against Trump", then someone yelled "gun" and the guy was taken down. An assassination attempt? I guess the guy was planning to beat Trump to death with a piece of cardboard. Don Jr. and Eric are definitely their father's sons!
  25. Well, I've managed to avoid all the news shows so far today and only had to mute a few campaign ads.. What I did do is pull up YouTube and watch the video 'One Day More' from Les Miserables (fitting, no?). And I sang along with it at the top of my lungs (at least the parts I know) and found myself much calmer afterwards. Whatever works, folks, whatever works!
