  1. Word. Actually, I think Bill was on the right side of the discussion because the other guy wouldn't get off the same point and Bill wasn't talking anything about that. Bill needs to learn to take some shade.
  2. I don't think it's fair to disqualify one's opinion because they don't have kids. I don't have a problem disagreeing with him, but I don't have kids, but I was a kid and had parents and understand how they parented me, and I have friends with kids who talk about parenting. I think we've talked before here about what an SJW. I don't think any of them have the definition of it that we do. I think the guy on the panel was using the colloquial definition. What he's calling SJW isn't actually what is. He also needed to let it go because he was derailing the entire discussion. But give me a break Yang. Democrats aren't condescending to anyone. People are fucking stupid is the problem, and they vote against their own interests because, as Bill said, the D is next to their name, even though the reason they have health care is because of that D and the reason their state takes more funding from the federal government is because of that D. Butthurt white dudebros are scared because they don't like anything different is the problem.

    The NBA

I'd say that you lose 2 games in a row at home you don't really deserve the title.
  4. I don't watch Bones, but I know of the show, and that was a funny meta.
  5. Oh, I do have Prime too. I d/l Good Omens to watch on the plane tomorrow, and I watch Man in the High Castle. I haven't really explored Prime as much as I should. tbh, I like all the stand up specials on Netflix. I find crafting jokes and making a 60-90 minute narrative technically interesting. I have to lecture for that long so that might be why.

It was my understanding that the guy was pushing him so KL didn't crash into the woman next to him, but I didn't see it.
  7. I have cable with HBO and Shotime, and I have Hulu and Netflix. That's plenty of content for me to keep me satisfied. My cable package comes with lightning internet and a DVR which I use all the time. Which gives also me access to watching on my tablet and browser. Streaming services like CBS that offer all their archive is zero interest to me. I'm looking for new content.
  8. I go back and forth on Believers because I think it's a little clunky but the plot is actually very good and kind of 'classic' scifi. Also worth it for- I'll wait. For my apology. You better check the temperature in hell first! Ragey Sinclair is the best version. I also liked when he took on the android about being 'pure'. You can see how this is a guy that's going to yank an entire space station back 1000 years and command an entire planet to wage war. Also, willful Franklin is good because when we get around to the scene where he tears into his superior about burning his notes (which, 2250, really?) it's earned.
  9. It must be the height of gall for a d-day veteran, who literally punched out nazis 75 years ago have this stinking pile of garbage as the commander in chief enabling it happening again.
  10. I can't stand when adults on tv squat down to talk to children. It's condescending to me. I get that they need to get them both in the shot but it still bothers.

I thought maybe by bringing it to 8 down at half time that GS might have a shot, but with no explosion out of the gate in the 3rd, it looked like they just didn't have it. And you can't really win with just one guy in the NBA even if you are GS. You can't have Curry with 45 and the next guy with like 9.
  12. I couldn't figure out why the UK national health service was 'on the table' for trade talks, and I didn't realize that was because he didn't know what it was. Good job getting Bernie. Nothing against the woman, but she was kind of condescending. I also like the typical right-wing 'go right to the most extreme thing that's barely relevant to the topic because we can't do nuance'. "Millions of people are going to die." Except everyone in Denmark because they all have healthcare.
  13. Far be it from me to say anything to defend the administration, but the freak out over Trump touching the queen was a little much.
  14. I'm disappointed that wasn't a longer term plot because I totally can see them as crappy influencers . The monkeys playing cards killed me though.
  15. Add Eureka to that. One of the few (if the only) shows to do time travel and not reset at the end.
  16. That's really the only reason I have EW magazine. They cover new shows and have a weekly schedule. SciFi at least has been doing that for 20 years. I don't think shows overall are worse, but it's harder to find shows you like because there's so much content now. I think the problem is, yes, they all want the next Mad Men or GOT, but statistically, that's going to be a low low hit rate. However, you can make just good shows. Everyone is talking about USA because they had a bunch of just good shows, and there was nothing wrong with that. You can still have your flagship show and a bunch of other stuff that people like too.
  17. In a rare plot for tv, Veep had one character get an abortion.

I don't think that's even debatable. They won all their games. I think all the games in this series will be close. However, I don't know if Toronto can answer Cousins. And he passed up at least 5 easy 2s, and still had 6 assists along with all the rebounds. That 3rd quarter, GS really had a lot of ball movement and easy layups. I do want to see Durant play if he can.
  19. If that's the definition, then my office is the edgiest fucking place on the planet because you won't get 7 seconds without 'fuck' blasting out.
  20. It's the obvious joke, but cutting to Lucifer eating the chicken leg isn't not funny. I've been watching on netflix in bunches - what I've gathered is that Lucifer regularly walked the earth (shakespeare, byron), but made the commitment in 2011 that he was done with the whole deal and was staying there for good. One would expect the devil to walk the earthly plane sporadically though - in the old testament he was Dad's agent, testing men. I'm fine with show-Lucifer getting continually fed up, and using his visits more for himself than to test men/women of the world, and getting to the point where he's just done with it. I don't think they need to define that much here.
  21. Well I honestly can say I didn't that reveal coming.
  22. That was my theory from the start. On to the next episode.
  23. I find it hard to believe that a decent pair of Oakleys negates the celestial power of the actual devil. I could fan wank that doing it of free will does work.
