  1. Twin Peaks may have been shut out in the major categories (acting & series), but I'd swear I read it got nominated in the more technical/behind the scenes-type categories. Maybe I'm wrong.
  2. Claire Foy is Queen Elizabeth II in The Crown, which is on Netflix (I think); Evan Rachel Wood is in the TV adaptation of Westworld, which I think is on Cinemax (My cable package doesn't get Cinemax, & I don't do Netflix... yet); Sandra Oh is in a show called Killing Eve. It's a spy type show on BBC America. My cable package gets BBCA, but I haven't seen it yet. I guess it's sort of supposed to be the replacement for Tatiana Maslany's show, Orphan Black (which I think ended this season). Oh yeah... I almost forgot... with this nomination, Sandra Oh is the first Asian-American actress to be nominated as Lead Actress in a Drama Series (she also was at least nominated for Supporting Actress in a Drama Series when she was in Grey's Anatomy).
  3. You're right. Maslany's show wasn't eligible last season (I don't think), & Elisabeth Moss (who I mostly enjoyed as Zoey Bartlet, the youngest of the 3 First Daughters in The West Wing) did win last year. But my point, which I think I made anyway, was that Tatiana Maslany (& Elisabeth Moss, to be completely accurate) already has an Emmy for her character/show & there are times (like when Keri, Matthew, & the show are up for Emmys) that I wish it was 1 Emmy win per person, in the same category (except, of course, when the person I like wins) so the person I like, hopefully, has a better chance at winning.
  4. From Emmys.com: And the Nominees Are... Click the genre name to see its full slate of nominees.
  5. Claire Foy, Tatiana Maslany (who beat Keri last year, or the year before that... anyway, Tatiana already has 1), Sandra Oh, Elisabeth Moss & Evan Rachel Wood are against Keri this year.
  6. From Amazon.com: Season 6 DVDs Are Available for Pre-Order NO release date listed yet, but they're $29.98.
  7. From Spoiler TV: CBS Fall Premiere Dates Regarding the 3 Peter Lenkov reboots: Magnum PI premieres Monday, September 24, at 9PM Eastern/8PM Central. MacGyver & Hawaii-Five-0 both premiere Friday, September 28, at 8PM Eastern/7PM Central & 9PM Eastern/8PM Central, respectively.
  8. The Cheez Balls & Cheez Curls are listed on Walmart's website. Predictably, they're out of stock.
  9. I'm not ordering either, but I still wonder why some places can get the Cheez Balls but not the Cheez Curls, & vice-versa (can anybody get both the Cheez Balls & the Cheez Curls).
  10. 3 more days & it would've been his birthday. I know he was in his eighties, & maybe birthdays might be less important to some as the years pass, but it's still sad he died so close to his birthday (not for nothing, but I think Merle Haggard actually died on his birthday).
  11. From NBC News: Tab Hunter, Star of 'Damn Yankees!' and Gay Icon, Dies at Age 86
  12. From WGN-TV: Wisconsin Badgers Wrestler Eli Stickley, Nephew of US Rep Jim Jordan (R-OH 4th), Killed in Illinois Auto Accident As the link at least implies, the deceased wasn't a celebrity, per se (though he was 2014 Ohio Division II State Wrestling Champion at 120 lbs; he fought in the 141-pound weight class for the Wisconsin Badgers). His uncle is the (bigger) celebrity, & a current newsmaker, & that's why I'm mentioning the nephew's untimely death. Eli's uncle is US Representative Jim Jordan, (R-OH 4th), described as a "powerful" Republican, who was a two-time National Champion Wrestler at Wisconsin in the mid-1980s & who, this past Thursday, was accused of turning a blind eye to the sexual abuse of his team members, & others, while Jordan was the Wrestling Coach at Ohio State University.
  13. From TV Line: Spoilers (Their Word, and NOT Really Accurate) About the Second Movie The linked article is from their "Ask Ausiello" column, which tends to deal in spoilers; the information they use--in the opening Q&A pair--isn't spoiler-y though. All they say is Lassie is supposed to have a bigger role in the second film, because Timothy Omundson was too ill, at the time, to do more than a "cameo" appearance in the first film (which pretty much all of us had already heard when they were promoting the first film--he was very missed in the first movie &, should the second movie happen, they were already planning for Omundson to have a bigger role in it). Then they say the script for the sequel is already written (which we didn't already know), & they hope to be able to film during hiatus periods for James & Dulé's new shows (which was also mentioned upthread).
  14. You can choose between Standard Definition & High Definition with the iTunes videos. HD is $1 more per item.
  15. For those who didn't know, the significance of the 9 milks/creams & 9 sugars in The Great One, & the name of the drink is, "The Great One" is NHL hockey legend Wayne Gretzky's nickname, & the 2 9's stand for his jersey number, 99.
  16. Still weird. I tried the original Amazon site awhile ago. I did the "fill in the search window" thing with Planters Cheez Balls, which they suggested after I started typing; I only got the Cheez Curls, along with various individual kinds of nuts, mixed nuts, & trail mix, like last time on the Amazon Smile site. Then I manually entered Planters Snacks & got the same results--Cheez Curls & various nuts, mixed nuts, & trail mixes, but no Cheez Balls. But when I use the link for the Cheez Balls @WendyCR72 posted on the previous page (page 12), it takes me right to them. Of course, I get the notification they're Currently Unavailable, but I can still see the Cheez Balls when I use that link. And only when I use that link. I can't remember that ever happening with something on Amazon before. This is really weird.
  17. From TV Line: New Psych Movie on Hold--Here's Why. Basically the hangup involves making scheduling & availability work out for everybody at the same time, now that James is a regular in the new ABC show A Million Little Things & Dulé's been promoted to a series regular on USA's Suits--the show which gave Prince Harry the woman who's become his wife, & gave the rest of the world, & the rest of the British Royals, HRH Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.
  18. It may only be temporary on Hallmark Movies and Mysteries. They always have a Christmas movie marathon during July, for Christmas in July... like "all Christmas movies, all the time", literally, for the whole freaking month of July. Hopefully it'll be on again once their schedule goes back to normal (or should go back to normal) at the beginning of August. As for Ion Television, Psych is still listed in their website's Shows section, so maybe it's just off their schedule temporarily too.
  19. That's weird. I've never had anyone else say Amazon has a restriction on where they send something. They should send them to you if you're in the States (or I think if you have an APO or FPO address). Do you have a friend or relative who lives somewhere they will send the Cheez Balls, who could/would have them delivered to their address & then send them on to you? You could always do it that way. Other people have, for other things. I was curious about this whole "Amazon won't send me the Cheez Balls" thing, so I went looking around the site. I use the Amazon Smile version, which donates a percentage of your purchase to a charity of your choice; Planters Cheez Balls aren't even showing up for me, just the Cheez Curls... which won't be available until the 15th. But the Smile site is exactly the same as the regular Amazon, except for making charity donations for each purchase made through the site, so using that version of the site shouldn't affect which products are available. When you start to fill in the search engine, it gives you the choice to select Planters Cheez Balls, but the page you get sent to when you do only has Cheez Curls, which aren't even available yet. This is really strange.
  20. If anybody's interested, iTunes (US Store) has the individual seasons on sale right now, for $9.99 each & the Complete Series set on sale for $59.99.
  21. From People: Janet Jackson Remembers Late Father Joe Jackson and Thanks Fans for Support Amid 'Rough Week'
  22. From People: Donatella Arpaia Pregnant; Expecting Twins. The twins will be the second & third children for Donatella, 46, & her husband, cardiac surgeon Allan Stewart. They have a 6-&-a-half-year-old son, Alessandro, who shares his mom's birthday.
  23. From Reel News Hawaii's Facebook page: Hawaii Five-0 Season 9 Filming Is Scheduled to Start on July 10th, 2018, with a Projected Wrap Date of April 19th, 2019.
  24. I read somewhere, I think it was in the thread for The Chew, that at least part of the reason she left the show was her family relocated to Miami for her husband's job.
