  1. Well, Gabriel's dead. That will make some people (more than just the Five-0 team) happy, I'm sure.
  2. Since Keri Russell was visibly pregnant in real life (with Matthew Rhys' baby, for anyone reading this who was perhaps unaware) during most, if not all, of the filming this season, she probably wasn't going to do any frontal nude scenes during the filming since Elizabeth Jennings wasn't supposed to be pregnant this season.
  3. The new, dread, disease is Lassa fever. It's not unlike Ebola, named for the area in Nigeria in which it was first discovered in the 1970's, & is mainly transmitted by human exposure to the bodily fluids/waste of infected rats. Oddly enough, a doctor from my hometown was among the first to discover it/treat (attempt to treat) patients with it as a medical missionary in Nigeria back in the day. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lassa_fever
  4. Unfortunately, I think you can only get them if you live in the San Francisco Bay Area. At least right now. They're a sort of tie-in to Gilroy, California, &/or their annual Garlic Festival.
  5. Yep. Duke told Chin Sara said she had an uncle named Chin who worked for/with HPD, which is why he called him (Five-0 Chin is the only Chin Duke knew, or 1 of the few Chins he knew, who worked for/with HPD, which is probably why he called him; Chin was with HPD before Five-0, & Five-0 also works with HPD now). As I remember, Chin only referred to himself as "Lieutenant Kelly" or "Detective Kelly" (maybe) when dealing with Sara. He never said anything to her specifically about being her uncle or having been married to her Aunt Malia. But he knew Gabriel was her father, & Malia was her aunt, so they were related by marriage, when he found out her middle name was "Malia" & added that to the other piece he knew of her family history: Duke's revelation Sara has an uncle named Chin who works for/with HPD. Knowing her first name was "Sara" wasn't clicking for Chin (nor Duke, for that matter), nor was it supposed to. I don't know if the writers wanted us to assume Sara put things together on that without showing us, or not, but it's still weird to me that there was no acknowledgment between Chin & Sara of their family tie. @blackwing: I know you don't care, but Jerry Ortega became Chin's roommate when his mom sold her house in Honolulu, where he'd been living with her, & moved to Maui. Jerry & Chin were in band together, in the same graduating class at Kukui High, which is how they know each other to start with. I assume another part of the reason Chin took Jerry in was maybe so the house wouldn't seem so "lonely" after Malia was murdered, & because he had room to spare.
  6. "Zuckerman" was Bob Tuschman. He left Food Network earlier this year. I'm pretty sure the info's posted in the Media thread or somewhere else in the forum.
  7. It was in the episode which included the Reagan shooting, which also included 1 of Elizabeth & Philip's first attempts to be together after they realized they had real feelings for each other. They, for some reason, decided to go to a hotel to consummate things & when they went downstairs to check out afterwards, special news coverage of the shooting was on a TV in the lobby. Elizabeth thought there was gonna be a US government coup because of General Alexander Haig's (then the Secretary of State, but still often also referred to by his military title of "General") statement to the press that he was "in control, here, at the White House" after the shooting as then Vice President George Bush, Senior, was on a trip to Texas (I think), for a speech or something, at the time of the shooting. He was on his way back to DC in Air Force II, but hadn't yet arrived. Since the USSR often/normally changed governments via military coups, the statement made by a (former) US military General after the shooting, & its wording, made Elizabeth think a military coup was in progress involving the US government. Philip later assured her there wasn't.
  8. I'm pretty sure Kono wasn't in a bikini at the beach with Hirsch. Her top looked more like she was in a wetsuit (maybe rash guard) type top (& probably bottom, since they never showed a full-length view of her). @JessDVD: Thanks for the response to my question, but it was everything I already knew (that Chin told Kono & the rest of the team he was related, by his marriage to Malia, to Sara). What I'm curious about is why he never actually told Sara they were related. Which I don't remember him ever doing.
  9. Valerie may have only gotten her own FN show in the last year or so (I'd swear her own show is already in S2... at least), but before (& since) that, she's co-hosted The Kids' Baking Championship, for 2 seasons so far, with Duff Goldman, & she's also guested as a Judge on other FN shows. Among those gigs, & her acting chops, I'd say she's qualified to host this show (her 3rd for FN).
  10. I know Chin told Kono (& maybe the rest of the team) he was related to Sara (the little girl). But I don't think he ever really told her that (besides asking what she knew about her uncle who worked with/for HPD). I'm wondering why he didn't tell her.
  11. Didn't they do a time jump in this ep? If they did & Martha was OK at the beginning, & then we never heard or saw otherwise--especially beyond the time jump--then, in my opinion, she should still be OK. At least for now.
  12. Sorry for the very late notice! In case anyone sees this in time, DDK will be on Watch What Happens Live TONIGHT (Thursday). It airs on Bravo at 11PM Eastern/10PM Central. Check local listings for the correct channel & time in your area (especially if you're west of Central Time), & if/when there are any repeats in case you miss the live airing & you're interested in seeing this.
  13. True. But Kelly will probably retain top billing, whomever replaces Michael, because she's the "more senior" of the co-hosts (she was there before the new person, like when Regis maintained top billing when she replaced Kathie Lee).
  14. This was the first episode Matthew Rhys's directed (at least of this show; can't remember if he directed any episodes of Brothers and Sisters, his previous US show, or not). Noah Emmerich (Stan) has directed at least 3 eps, I think (1 ep in a previous season, 2 eps--back-to-back or almost--this season). He might've directed more eps than that.
  15. Some catheters can stay in, but you still need to change them within a certain timeframe, like those disposable contacts you can sleep in, in order to prevent infection. You're also better off if you use new catheters every time even if you don't have to use them permanently, again to prevent infections (if they get bad enough, they can result in kidney failure, which landed me in the hospital for the last half of last October). And as the poster upthread said, there are certain conditions--such as birth defects (which I'm personally familiar with) or other, post-birth, permanent injuries of the type mostly involving paralysis below the waist--which would necessitate either occasional, semipermanent, or permanent use of urinary catheters.
  16. It was announced yesterday (Wednesday) that MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell (who, among other--mostly offscreen--connections to TWW, played Jed's father in the S2 ep Two Cathedrals) will moderate the ATX Festival's The West Wing panel. And Melissa Fitzgerald, who played Carol, CJ's Assistant when she was Press Secretary, has been added to the panel.
  17. Reminder: Tonight (May 5th) is the night of Richard Schiff's guest appearance on Allison Janney's current series, Mom. It airs on CBS; check your local listings for the correct time & channel in your area.
  18. The rest of the first week will have, as guest co-hosts: Jussie Smollett, from Fox's Empire, on Tuesday the 17th Comedian Cedric the Entertainer, on Wednesday the 18th ABC World News Tonight anchor David Muir (presumably barring his being needed to cover breaking news outside of New York City), on Thursday the 19th & Actor Daniel Dae Kim, of the current version of Hawaii Five-0 & Lost, who's also currently starring (through June 26th) as the King of Siam in the Broadway revival of The King and I at Lincoln Center Theater, on Friday the 20th.
  19. Daniel Dae Kim will guest co-host Live with Kelly (formerly Live with Kelly and Michael, as of Monday, May 16th) on Friday, May 20th. Also, he made his Broadway debut, as the King of Siam--opposite actress Marin Mazzie as Anna Leonowens--in the current revival of The King and I at New York's Lincoln Center Theater last night. He apparently got very good reviews for his performance & he & Ms. Mazzie took their bows wearing traditional Hawaiian leis--ti leaf for Daniel, floral for Ms. Mazzie--with their costumes.
  20. If it hasn't yet aired in your city, Matthew is a guest on today's (Tuesday) episode of The Rachael Ray Show. His segment starts about halfway through (the clock on my iPhone said 9:29AM when he was introduced, but I'm not sure how accurate it is--though I know it's only a couple of minutes off, at most), it lasts somewhere around 8 or 9 minutes (10 at most), & Matthew was very funny. He talked about the show/spying, him & Keri being expectant parents in real life (at least as of whenever they did the show, which I think is pretaped & not live, Keri was apparently still pregnant), his wine show which is airing on TV in the UK, & the segment ended with him demonstrating various foreign accents. If you've already missed it (sorry), there should be at least a clip on the show's website by sometime tomorrow.
  21. I think the person voicing the commercials (actor Ving Rhames, from what I understand) probably knows how to pronounce "gyro" at least reasonably correctly. His mispronouncing it, then finally giving up & calling it a "mediterranean taco", in the ad is likely just a "hook" to draw more attention to the ad, & thereby the product. Especially since gyros are only a limited time offering on Arby's menu. Just my opinion.
  22. Melissa Fitzgerald (Carol, CJ's Assistant as Press Secretary) posted this Tweet to her Twitter on Sunday. The photo in it was taken after the WH press briefing Allison opened, in character as CJ, on Friday. It's another reminder of the show, for lack of anything better to call it. Hit the link starting at "pic.twitter.com" to see the photo in question. The only real way you can tell it's not a scene from the show is that Allison & Melissa both have A tags around their necks in the pic & they didn't wear any kind of ID's or other tags, passes, etc., in the show except for in the Pilot & maybe a couple of other early S1 eps after that.
  23. I will for sure, if I find I'm still having trouble with edits in a day or 2. I'm trying to give them time to fix stuff first. And I'm being really careful to try to catch all my typos before I hit send at the moment.
