  1. Dave apparently saw the Tony-winning Hamilton The Musical recently. The show's star, Tony-winner Lin-Manuel Miranda, posted this pic of Dave & him together to his Twitter account on the 23rd (Thursday). But that's not necessarily the day Dave saw the show. Yes, Dave still has the "Santa" beard. https://mobile.twitter.com/Lin_Manuel/status/746171090829967360?p=v
  2. Besides the CW daytime show, I read awhile back that Robert Irvine's opening a restaurant in the Tropicana Resort & Casino in Las Vegas sort of soon. He has or had another restaurant near Myrtle Beach, SC, I think.
  3. Aaron Sorkin will soon--as in this year--be teaching an online course in screenwriting at the Masterclass.com website. Details (a good chunk of them, anyway) are given here: https://www.masterclass.com/classes/aaron-sorkin-teaches-screenwriting?utm_source=Paid&utm_medium=AdWords&utm_term=Aq-Prospecting&utm_content=Search&utm_campaign=AS&gclid=CIGEx8-hws0CFQ6naQodjoIK1g
  4. Maybe it's not the most "reputable" (like The New York Times kind of "reputable") source, compared to others, but here's 1 of the sources that stated he died "within a minute" (I only read the linked article once... I think it said due to severe head & chest trauma, & discussed the asphyxia that was mentioned upthread). Other sources say "minutes", plural, but that may be splitting hairs. At any rate, I truly hope he didn't know what happened. http://hollywoodlife.com/2016/06/21/anton-yelchin-died-instantly-jeep-accident-death-star-trek/
  5. I read that Anton Yelchin died within a minute. So at least it was quick. Hopefully he didn't suffer in that short a timeframe.
  6. Anyone from The Americans, in a category other than Guest Actor &/or Actress in a Drama, &/or the show itself. I think The People vs. OJ Simpson will do well in the nominations--it should definitely be represented, anyway.
  7. Apologies for the late notice--at least to those in the Eastern & Central Time Zones... Hopefully most will still see this in time. The ATX Festival Tweeted earlier today (Tuesday) that the Today show will air exclusive interviews, in the 8AM hour (8AM your local time) tomorrow (Wednesday), with the TWW cast which were done at the recent ATX Festival. If you miss the segment, I would check the Today show website later; I would think it might be posted there afterwards. https://mobile.twitter.com/ATXFestival/status/745341021026820096?p=v
  8. CBS announced the Season Premiere dates today (Tuesday) for the shows on their Fall Schedule. H50 S7 will premiere on CBS Friday, September 23rd in the usual 9PM Eastern/8PM Central timeslot[/i]. It will be preceded by the series premiere of Peter Lenkov's "other" series, the reboot of MacGyver, at 8PM Eastern/7PM Central time. http://tvline.com/2016/06/21/cbs-premiere-dates-fall-2016-big-bang-ncis/
  9. If there's no forum, you can always request they start 1 (or maybe discuss it in a CNN forum if there is 1). I think there's a place for new show requests in the Site Business section.
  10. Yes, Julia & Benjamin were a couple when she did her guest spot on the show. They were a couple at least until after she won the Oscar for her role in Erin Brockovich, as I remember, then broke up after that. They eventually went on to marry & have families with others.
  11. According to this Tweet, the video of the TWW reunion panel at the recent ATX Festival, in Austin, Texas, has now been posted online. I believe it's posted at the https site linked to in the Tweet, & NOT at YouTube.
  12. You actually didn't forget her name. It's Emily Ellyn.
  13. Here is either the actual pic, or at least the link to it, from 1 of the times Gordie Howe & I did March of Dimes promotional work together in Detroit. I'm standing on the table & Gordie's next to me, on the right side of the pic. It's from January, 1972, when I was 8 1/2 years old. http://detroitnews.mycapture.com/mycapture/enlarge.asp?image=39098626&event=1370824&CategoryID=0
  14. Here is the obituary for Ann Morgan Guilbert, best known as Rob & Laura Petrie's neighbor, Millie Helper, on The Dick Van Dyke Show & as Fran's Aunt Yetta on The Nanny. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/ann-morgan-guilbert-dead-dick-903319 Interesting fact I picked up on Ronnie Claire Edwards from 1 of the Tweets about her passing to hit my feed: She sold her home in LA to Flea of The Red Hot Chili Peppers (she was living in Dallas at the time of her death & had been living there for a number of years). Also, I had the great pleasure of doing some March of Dimes promotional work in Detroit, back in the early 1970's, with Gordie Howe (I was their 1972 National Poster Girl). He was everything you'd hope for, in the nicest possible way, & more, as far as his attitude toward me whenever we were together. We even maintained enough of a connection that, when I ended up in a children's hospital in Houston a few years later for surgery that couldn't be done at/closer to home, he found out I was there (I don't remember how, other than I know we didn't tell him I would be) & came to visit me (this was when he was playing with the Houston Aeros in the old WHA).
  15. Yahoo! News article on the TWW panel at the ATX Festival. https://www.yahoo.com/news/west-wing-reunion-atx-fest-130412963.html
  16. Jesse Tyler Ferguson plays half of the gay couple on Modern Family. He's been Emmy-nominated for the role, but I'm not sure if he's ever won (I don't watch the show but know a lot about it because of all the publicity it gets). He's also currently starring on Broadway in the multiple character, 1-man show that was mentioned upthread.
  17. This curveball challenge was just a different way, from previous seasons, to see how they'd react if something went wrong in the middle of an ep. They maybe changed it to working in a hotel Kitchen because doing the same challenge in the same setting too often (& let's face it, they pretty much do the same challenges every season) might be expected by any contestants who've watched the show a lot before being on it.
  18. I think they gave the 2nd team somebody else to cook for so team 1 couldn't go tell them they were really cooking for actor Jesse Tyler Ferguson pretending to be a fussy customer, instead of a REAL fussy customer.
  19. Eddie Jackson, the previous winner you referenced, has (had?) another show, BBQ Blitz, which was his "prize" for winning FNS last season. He travels (traveled?) to various cities hosting BBQ cookoffs. Hopefully the kids barbecue championship--which he co-hosts with model Camila Alves, the wife of Oscar-winning actor Matthew McConaughey--is just a show to fill the time until he films more of the other show (or until they find the right format for him). They do seem to like him though (which I also do); I'm also seeing him judge, & whatever, on other FN shows. If they didn't like Eddie, I don't think they'd give him all these different gigs.
  20. W.G. "Snuffy" Walden, who composed the music for TWW (& many other hit TV shows, & probably movies as well), Tweeted today that he expects to release an album (CD) of music from The West Wing through Warner Brothers "soon". He previously released the main title theme & a longer piece, titled The West Wing Suite, on an album titled Music by... W.G. "Snuffy" Walden. But that was a compilation of his works. This would apparently be an album (CD) strictly of music from TWW.
  21. The West Wing Weekly's Twitter account Tweeted today that the ATX Festival panel will be this week's episode of the podcast. It "drops" (comes out) tomorrow, Wednesday, June 15th.
  22. The ATX Festival Tweeted on Saturday (or whenever the 11th was) that they'd be posting the videos of the different ATX Festival panels on YouTube beginning next month, & throughout the year. So there apparently will eventually be a video posted of the TWW reunion panel, & hopefully it'll be the whole thing. https://mobile.twitter.com/ATXFestival/status/741697947264393216?p=v
  23. FYI... Peter Lenkov posted to his Social Media accounts today (Monday) that S7 will begin shooting on July 6th. So, less than a month & everyone will be back to work in Honolulu. The writers went back to work at the beginning of this month (& there are some new ones this season; they've already made their presence known on Twitter, but I don't think they're recognizable names from other shows--I didn't recognize them anyway).
  24. If you check YouTube, his acceptance speech is probably there. I think someone else linked to the part where Keri introduced the performance by the cast of Waitress (she starred in the movie version, which the musical's based on) via a YT clip (in the Media thread).
  25. And here's an article from People magazine about Keri attending the Tony Awards tonight. It goes into detail about her outfit, for the fashionistas among us, & also mentions that Keri & Matthew have become parents (they say it happened last month) but haven't (yet) released any details on their new arrival. http://www.people.com/people/mobile/article/0,,21012367,00.html?xid=socialflow_twitter_peoplemag And... Congratulations to Frank Langella, aka Gabriel, for his Tony Award win tonight, in the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Play category, for his performance in the play Father.
