  1. Thanks for the update on Keri's pregnancy. I guess my sources, such as they are (except for those connected to the show), aren't as up to date as they should be. Hopefully we'll hear something soon--since we're starting to "run out" of May, maybe in at least early June. I do remember reading birth announcements for her older kids, so hopefully there'll be 1 for her & Matthew's baby too.
  2. I don't think Michael's "floundering" on GMA. Mileage varies, I suppose. GHWB is Billy Bush's uncle, not grandfather. As you said, Billy & GWB are first cousins.
  3. Me too. I mean, Rey openly admitted he'd checked Lennie out & knew about him being a recovering alcoholic. That's his right, of course; especially in a job, like being a cop, where your partner really needs to be able to have your back &, if necessary, be clearheaded enough to save your life in a split second. Lennie's history of alcoholism could put that in doubt (in that mess, during Jamie's season as ADA, with the corrupt cop, Lennie admitted he was drunk on the job at least once) ; Rey was just covering his ass--especially since he was married with 3 young daughters. Having said all that, it might've been better if Rey had been more discreet & he'd kept having checked Lennie out to himself.
  4. Considering Tuschman left FN only fairly recently, & we don't know when this cycle of the show was produced in relation to that happening, maybe he'll still be on this season. I could be wrong, but I got the impression Tyler & Valerie were just guest judges last night because of Martita's addition to the contenders after winning Comeback Kitchen. The person I didn't like was the girl who wasn't happy about actually starting the competition immediately.
  5. I figured this was the best place to put this, since it doesn't have anything to do with the show & we don't have threads for Matthew &/or Keri as individuals (or as a couple). If I still put this in the wrong place (my other choice was the Media thread), apologies & Mods please delete or move as you think appropriate. Anyway, does anyone else think maybe we should've heard something about Matthew & Keri's baby by now? I thought I read it was due around her birthday, which was last month or something, but when Matthew was on Rachael Ray's show recently (& it could've been pretaped, perhaps farther in advance than a day or so of airing) he was talking like she was still pregnant. I've been keeping my eyes on the Twitter feeds I follow for the show & celebrity media outlets like People magazine &, so far, nothing's been posted (& I think Keri's about the only pregnant celebrity People hasn't posted a birth announcement for). If they wanna keep the birth to themselves, that's fine. But everyone (at least their fans & fans of the show) knows they're expecting (& we're probably expecting at least a "the baby's been born, everyone's healthy & happy" announcement, even if they choose not to share more personal details like the weight, length, gender, &/or name), so it perhaps seems a bit disingenuous to acknowledge the pregnancy but not the birth. I just hope the reason we haven't heard anything yet is because they never actually announced her due date & we still aren't there yet, as opposed to the birth happened but something unexpected occurred (given that Keri was in her late 30's when they conceived & she hit 40 during the pregnancy, it was likely considered a "risky" pregnancy due to her age even if she is/was otherwise healthy) & they don't wanna discuss it publicly (which is their right, of course). Hopefully we'll hear something soon.
  6. He sure is! The look on his face kind of reminded me (except for the currently missing teeth) of when he went to his first karate lesson, broke the board, & said something like "I breaked (sic) it!", particularly to Jen & Bill, & he had another huge grin on his face afterward.
  7. She's also written at least 1 cookbook, which really seems to be the criteria for hosting/appearing on FN, & she was a celebrity spokesperson for/participant in the Jenny Craig (I think) weight loss program years ago.
  8. I'm not sure if he's a regular host or not, but Jeff & Marcela Valladolid were hosting an offshoot series (in the vein of Chopped Junior, but not a kids' show) of The Kitchen, called The Kitchen Sink, which I saw this afternoon on FN. So he also has that show, at least periodically if each of The Kitchen's hosts takes turns hosting it. The premise seems to be the hosts debate the merits of Food A vs. Food B (today it was pie vs. cake, with each "taking a side" in the "debate") & make examples of their preferred food to prove their point. I forget which food won. I also don't know if Jeff & Marcela are the regular hosts or if they use Katie Lee, Sunny Anderson, & Geoffrey Zakarian as hosts too. The other thing I don't know is how long it's been on. Today was the first I'd seen it though it was plugged on yesterday's ep of The Kitchen.
  9. Fox announced Friday they were moving the final season of Bones from the Fall Schedule--where it was on Thursdays (I think)--to midseason. Mark's new show, Pitch, which was supposed to start at midseason, when they announced the schedule at Fox's Upfront presentation, is replacing Bones on the Fall Schedule.
  10. I loved Ross on Jay Leno's show, but for some reason I don't like him as much since.
  11. Will's still taking karate & he graduated from his white belt to a white belt with a yellow stripe or edging. Jen Tweeted about it, with a pic of a very happy/excited Will wearing the new belt, yesterday (Saturday). If you click on the link to Jen's Tweet (above the body of the Tweet), or the "pic.twitter." link after Bill's Twitter name in the posted copy of Jen's Tweet, you should be able to see the pic if you can't already. https://twitter.com/jenarnoldmd/status/734073137441038336 OK my post futzed somehow. Sorry! If you click the link to Jen's Tweet you should be able to see Will's pic, which is cute, if you're interested.
  12. The baby's here. Jen posted a pic a couple of hours ago, or so, to her social media. It's a boy, named Nathan.
  13. Olivia is co-hosting with Tom. And the gala apparently also benefits the Wildlife Warriors, which is the animal conservation group Steve Irwin, if not Steve & Terri Irwin, founded that's connected to Australia Zoo.
  14. CBS announced their 2016-2017 Fall Schedule this morning at a breakfast which supposedly was to precede the "flashier" presentation later today. Anyway... If you haven't guessed, we still have the Friday at 9PM Eastern/8PM Central timeslot, followed by Blue Bloods at 10PM Eastern/9PM Central. We do, however, have a new lead-in. The new reboot of MacGyver will air at 8PM Eastern/7PM Central. And the Executive Producer of that show is our very own Peter Lenkov (who will remain Executive Producer of H50 as well). The entire CBS Fall Schedule for 2016-2017 can be found here if you're interested. https://twitter.com/variety/status/732928637209575424
  15. Small point: It's CAAN, with 2 A's, not 2 N's. It hasn't been announced, in any shape, form, or fashion, that S7 is or will be the last season. If that's what they were planning, then they probably would've said so in connection with the renewal announcement, just as they did with all of the series for which the 2016-17 TV season will be the last first-run season. Now we likely won't know about the show's future beyond S7 until around this time next year. If ratings are any indication, & they remain stable, at least as of now, it might go to at least S8. It's been in the Top 20 most, if not all, of this season; & it appears the finale eps ranked #12 (Ep 624--Part 1) & #11 (Ep 625--Part 2 & the actual season finale ep) for last week's TV ratings... Almost in the Top 10. Even with the added expense of location filming in Hawaii, networks rarely cancel shows with those kinds of ratings, even "aging" ones like H50.
  16. You might not be able to burn the amazon Galavant videos to a DVD. I buy videos from iTunes, as opposed to amazon, & you can't burn those to DVD--they're copy protected. The same might be true for the amazon videos.
  17. Fox announced their Fall schedule yesterday (Monday). Mark's new show is on the midseason schedule.
  18. Yes, Michael's keeping the Fox NFL gig on Sundays. Considering he had it the entire 4 years & whatever he was on LIVE!, either it's not that hard a commute on him or he's used to it by now. The only time it would seem to be really hard, to me, is when the NFL show goes on location to cover a game--like when Fox is airing pre-Super Bowl playoff games, the Super Bowl itself, or other special NFL games, like over Thanksgiving & the December holidays--in the actual stadium involved & it's 1 of the farther ones from NYC, like Seattle or something. Compared to that, commuting between NYC & LA each week of football season is probably easy, &, again, something he's used to by now.
  19. They mean the guy who has a longstanding crush on Kono, despite the fact he knows she's very married to Adam Noshimuri. The actor, whose real name escapes me right now, played Mozzie on White Collar. I think his character name here is Gerard Hirsch. If I remember correctly (& with 6 seasons under my belt, things may be starting to blur together), Hirsch first got involved with Five-0 in that ep where Chin & Kono were hostages of some art-related criminals (thieves &/or forgers). Then he ended up becoming sort of a criminal informant/periodic operative type for Five-0, & his legit line of work has since been an artist of tourist caricatures along (I think) Waikīkī Beach, as well as an employee/owner(?) of a service which helps clean up (usually bloody) crime scenes. We last saw him in the ep where Chin's niece/Gabriel's daughter, Sara, was introduced. Hirsch's team was cleaning up the crime scene & he somehow encountered Sara's mother's killer & ended up in the emergency room from it. We also met his dad, who was played by Elliott Gould.
  20. Apparently. Personally, I'd sooner listen to what Amanda Freitag--who I consider to have more professional credibility--has to say about a dish than Penny Davidi. Penny stayed in her Middle Eastern cuisine "wheelhouse" for the dish Amanda critiqued that got her chopped, by the way. For that matter, even though she probably doesn't have as much culinary credibility as Amanda, I'd still listen to a Valerie Bertinelli critique of my food. I think, besides thinking she's the best damn Middle Eastern cuisine chef in the world (which I really doubt she is), Penny's problem is/maybe she doesn't know how to season properly. She put too much saffron in the dish Amanda critiqued; she put too little salt in the dish Valerie critiqued. I'm waiting for Tyler to tear her a new 1 over something. He's good at that. I think it'll be sweet if/when it happens.
  21. @kili: There's an article linked in the Media thread, posted late last night (I think by @Artsda), from Entertainment Weekly, where showrunner Peter Lenkov talks about Gabriel dying & what he sees going on next season. That gives an indication of where next season will probably open, time wise, in relation to where things ended last night. You (& anyone else who hasn't) might wanna read that. Just saying. @buckboard: Small correction: Steve needed/had a liver transplant, not a kidney transplant (my mom, on the other hand, had a kidney transplant in real life). His liver, of which humans only have 1, was all shot to hell & irreparably damaged, according to the doctor. You can't live without (at least part of) your liver; that's why Steve needed the transplant. Danny donated a portion of his liver to Steve, since he obviously needed to keep some of it to live too, & partial liver transplants are as good as whole liver transplants. As (I think) Kono said to Gracie, Danny gave part of his liver to (Uncle) Steve; Danny & Steve, for now, can live with functioning partial livers &, in time, as (I think) Kono also told Gracie, both of their livers should regenerate the missing part(s)--like crabs & lobsters re-grow their claws when they lose them--& go back to their normal size from before Steve was shot & Danny donated to Steve. If 1 of Steve's kidneys, as you said, had been shot to hell & irreparably damaged, he'd have been at least a little better off. They'd have just removed the damaged kidney, repaired any other damage, & Steve would've been discharged from the hospital in a few days, since it's possible to live with only 1 functioning kidney.
  22. I'm glad there was at least some kind of tie (the meth "epidemic") between the finale eps this season, instead of having 2 unrelated eps like last season's finale. And now we know how old Danny's supposed to be (Scott's--& Alex's--current real life age, 39). And I'm also kinda happy to see McDanno will now be permanently tied together, by virtue of Danny's partial liver donation to Steve. Although, as the daughter of a real life organ (non-liver) transplant recipient (6 years & still doing well, happily), they really minimized what it takes to qualify as a potential donor (it's not just having the same blood type, as Danny said about he & Steve). It's also interesting they've now made Steve a transplant recipient (although, by nature of the show, I'd bet the post-transplant drug protocol for the recipient will be seriously minimized, if seen at all, next season), since Alex O'Loughlin is, in real life, a serious proponent of organ donation & works with an organization called Taylor's Gift (& possibly another, which I can't remember now) in this area.
  23. Of course Penny got offended when Valerie told her her Middle Eastern Stew needed seasoning. She's the most perfect Middle Eastern cuisine chef in the world. Not for nothing, but she was on Chopped awhile back--a special competition with FN/FNS competitors or something--& she got all "Who knows Middle Eastern food better, me or Amanda (because Penny's a "native" cook & Amanda's not)?" & really insulted because she was chopped & Amanda Freitag said it was because she used (I think) too much saffron (or maybe it was too little) in her dish.
  24. Renewed, I think yesterday (Friday), for S2.
