  1. Just for clarification purposes, Jordan Walker-Pearlman is/was Gene Wilder's nephew, who apparently announced his death on the family's behalf & is referred to as far back as my 2nd post on the subject here. He made the comment you quoted in discussing why the family chose not to announce earlier (pre-death) that he had Alzheimer's Disease. He said that, at the time his Uncle died, the Alzheimer's hadn't taken either his personality or his ability to recognize those he loved, as so often happens. He also said something to the effect of they didn't want especially his young fans through Willy Wonka to know he was ill, especially since many/most wouldn't be able to understand about Alzheimer's at their ages. Basically, what I took from it is they wanted his fans/the public to remember Mr. Wilder as he was, not as what he could've become (but apparently, thankfully, didn't) because of the normal effects of Alzheimer's on someone with the illness.
  2. This was ReTweeted by someone I follow on Twitter, to add to your mention of Mr. Wilder's marriage following the 1 to Gilda Radner. It's a photo of Mr. Wilder & his now widow, Karen, to whom he was married for 25 years. The original poster didn't want her place in Mr. Wilder's life forgotten since most people/posters are bringing up his marriage to Gilda Radner, as though it was his only 1/his only 1 which "counted". https://mobile.twitter.com/JamesGunn/status/770351315369066496?p=v
  3. The Alzheimer's comment was attributed to his nephew. I was trying to add that to my original post but my phone kept crashing.
  4. The Hollywood Reporter just Tweeted Gene Wilder's death was due to complications of Alzheimer's.
  5. WGNAmerica seems to be messing with their scheduling of the Mothership again. This week--at least--it's on at 9AM Eastern Monday & Friday morning. And it's on at 4AM Eastern & again at 9AM Eastern (2 different episodes) late Monday night/early Tuesday morning, late Tuesday night/early Wednesday morning & late Wednesday night/early Thursday morning.
  6. OK this is a little late, because Derek's return was confirmed earlier this week, & Cheryl's is confirmed upthread, but here's an article from EW.com (Entertainment Weekly's website), from earlier tonight, saying both may return this season. http://www.ew.com/article/2016/08/28/dwts-cheryl-burke-derek-hough-season-23/1?xid=entertainment-weekly_socialflow_twitter
  7. BREAKING: Mexican superstar singer Juan Gabriel dead at 66. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/juan-gabriel-dead-mexican-superstar-923607?utm_source=twitter
  8. Entertainment Tonight is now Tweeting that Final Five Rio Olympics Women's Gymnastics team member Laurie Hernandez will be competing in S23 (Simone Biles apparently wants to do a Spring season). https://mobile.twitter.com/etnow/status/769670891169013764?p=v
  9. Entertainment Tonight Tweeted that Ryan Lochte & The Brady Bunch's Maureen McCormick (eldest daughter Marcia Brady) are in S23. https://mobile.twitter.com/etnow/status/769285860885946372?p=v Although, Brazil filed charges against Lochte yesterday, for false reporting of a crime/robbery, & they want him back in Rio in connection with that mess, so who knows if he can do it now, or not?
  10. USA Today reports that WE TV will air 5 episodes featuring the late Steven Hill's Adam Schiff character, starting at 8PM Eastern, during this coming Tuesday's "Charged Up" Binge-a-Thon (honestly, it probably wasn't that hard to do since I think they were still airing Schiff eps anyway; the tribute eps are out of order from what they're currently running though). It appears to be a "Best of Schiff" marathon within the marathon & includes a number, if not all, of the favorite Schiff eps mentioned since Steven's passing. The episodes & their scheduled air times are listed in this linked article: http://www.usatoday.com/story/life/awardcentral/2016/08/26/wetv-plans-law-and-order-marathon-to-honor-steven-hill/89408726/
  11. 1 of the E! network Twitter feeds says singer/producer/(former?) music mogul Babyface (aka Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds) will be on Season 23. https://mobile.twitter.com/eonlineTV/status/768950100672389120?p=v
  12. Tia Mowry starred with her twin sister, Tamera, on the ABC sitcom Sister, Sister where they played twins who were adopted separately at birth/early in life & didn't reconnect until they were in Junior High or High School (I watched it, but don't quite remember a lot of the details). More recently, they had a reality show on either E! or Style, Tia & Tamera. Tia also has a current show on Cooking Channel.
  13. US Weekly is owned by Jann Wenner's Wenner Media (he used to publish [&/or own] Rolling Stone). People magazine is owned by Time Warner.
  14. Jeanne Martin, ex-wife of Dean Martin, dead at 89. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/jeanne-martin-dead-wife-dean-922701?utm_source=twitter
  15. Jane Lynch Tweeted earlier today--twice, in fact--that they're casting (looking for contestants) for the next season. If interested, the link to the casting site is in her Tweet (which will either show in full or as a link below): https://mobile.twitter.com/janemarielynch/status/768567562355421185?p=v
  16. Just on the off chance anyone here might be interested, the show Tweeted earlier today that they're casting (looking for contestants) for the next season. The information is available here: http://www.castingpyramid.com
  17. I'm assuming everyone's told about this before taping starts, but Michael also doesn't explain about the "cuckoo" noise if you give part of the answer in the preliminary game. And it's interesting how on this incarnation (& the new Match Game), the full names of the contestants aren't given, just their first names. I'm guessing it's because it could be very easy to find, & potentially harass, these people via the internet (if someone who watched was so inclined) these days--which wasn't a concern when these shows last aired (that I remember anyway). Just stuff I've noticed, being able to watch old episodes of this (& Match Game) on GSN & compare the 2 versions.
  18. I did notice Michael remembered, in the first half, to tell what the Mystery 7 answers had in common (he's forgotten, in both halves, to do it the last few eps). But then after the Mystery 7 got bobbled in the second half, he forgot again.
  19. Yeah, but for some reason NBC decided to cross Las Vegas & Crossing Jordan. I'm pretty sure they did it at least twice, but I've never understood why. L&O, or another procedural, made more sense as a crossover partner for CJ to me.
  20. New, but short The New York Times interview with Keri, about baby Sam, her relationship with Matthew (working with your partner, etc.), the Emmy nominations, & Matthew's The Wine Show (I think that's mostly what was included--they said what was published was excerpts from a [presumably longer] phone interview with Keri, who was still at the family's country home when she was interviewed). http://mobile.nytimes.com/2016/08/18/arts/television/keri-russell-matthew-rhys-the-americans-emmy-nomination.html?_r=3&sf33726635=1&referer=
  21. Andrea Martin has been cast as Mrs. Pingleton (Penny Pingleton's mother). http://www.ew.com/article/2016/08/18/hairspray-live-andrea-martin
  22. Another new interview with the showrunners, & I think Matthew chimes in somewhere too, from The Hollywood Reporter. It's kinda unusual, in my opinion, but worth reading. Among other things, they talk--again--about the Emmy love for S4; they speculate about who the characters (the Jenningses) would vote for in our elections, what they might think of Putin as the Russian leader, & who would they (the showrunners) wanna sit by at the Emmys (1 said he would wanna sit by Matthew & Keri; the other said he'd wanna sit by Louie Anderson, because he sees Matthew & Keri all the time at work). http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/emmys-americans-showrunners-try-predict-919064?utm_source=twitter
  23. There's a Mothership marathon scheduled on ION today (Monday), from 12 Noon Eastern/11AM Central (NOW) until 1AM Eastern/12 Midnight Central. And WGNAmerica airs the Mothership at 5AM Eastern/4AM Central Saturday night/Sunday morning; I was mistaken on the day in my previous post. They *don't* air it Sunday night/Monday morning, & they air it at 4AM Eastern/3AM Central Monday night/Tuesday morning-Friday night/Saturday morning.
  24. Thomas has hired lawyers; they're looking into whether or not there's a potential lawsuit over Thomas's dismissal. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/thr-esq/thomas-gibson-mulls-lawsuit-criminal-919367
  25. Actor Ramon de Ocampo who played Otto, the speechwriter for the Santos campaign (mostly, if not all, in S7), posted this picture I'm linking to/reposting for a "Throwback Thursday (#TBT)" post on his social media yesterday. I thought I'd share. If you don't see the pic, use the link. https://www.instagram.com/p/BI_eerqBQCW/
