I did see that some of the fan sites were talking about crowd sourcing a better ending. I just love the internet.

I know the the actors have been saying multiple endings were filmed. Maybe this is where they were always going and the leaks were just people being fooled.

The interaction with Sandor was interesting for a number of reasons. Outside of her family she doesn't let people touch her. Even the Gentry act of putting his hand on her head while kissing her was immediately followed by her pushing him down. Then she never turns her head to look up at people she just looks up with her eyes. Not with Brine and not with Sandor. So when he tells her not to live for revenge she turns her head up to look at him, she lets him touch her, so very different from all of her previous interactions.

Agree on both points. If you string together all the times she declared herself the only heir to the throne, she said to Jon it was rightfully hers, the number of times she declared she would burn it all down, and finally in this episode Tyrion spent 5 minutes begging her not to do it to stop when the bells rang. It didn't come out of nowhere. This is who she is. This is who she always was.

When she fist walked in to the room she looked at Varys and shook her head no before he even spoke. So I assumed she failed a task. Once the kitchen worker and Dany not eating started to come out I guessed poison.

When Tyrion tells her about the bells he is begging her not to destroy KL. She is making a case for it. Then Tyrion tells his Jaime when he's freeing him that the life of one dwarf is a good trade for thousands of innocent lives. So Tyrion thought she was going to burn them all.

I also thought of CTE. She got her melon bounced off a wall by one of the dead maybe a week ago? It's hard to say because Dany wouldn't give her time to recuperate. During her run through the streets she was out cold in one fall and obviously disoriented when she came out at the end. And that goes to the actress as well since it was obvious that the character was overwhelmed.

I need to look closer at the teaser. If she looks like she did when she rode out of KL then it's pretty scary for someone that cares about her. She looks rougher than she did killing the NK.

If it's true that D&D wouldn't sign for 10 seasons and that's why things are rushed right now then it doesn't seem like they have much power at all. And who wrote that contract that allowed show runner to quit without repercussions.

There was discussion and industry gossip about the number of episodes total, the number of seasons etc. Was there a reason this had to be the last season?

This seemed to authentic. Maisie did a really good job accepting what he said. Just the bit where she called him Sandor and he accepted it. I would like to say that the Cleagons going over the edge into the fire was a really satisfying end to their store.

Here’s the thing. After 8 seasons of this I just close the room darkening shades, turn up the sound to ‘11’, pour some wine and enjoy myself. I grew up on network tv only. That I can sit in my home and see this level of acting, score, cinematography is a friggin miracle to me. Let’s hear it for the cinematographer with the Arya/horse scene. Absolutely beautiful. People complaining should be forced to live through 1980 with 3/4 network channels on crap TVs, with rerun’s ALL SUMMER. You’d love GoT.

I did not see Mad Queen. I saw someone that was determined to make them pay. She was angry. She was not mad. I bet anything that next episode she is all smiles. And the next time someone doesn’t do exactly what she wants, exactly when she wants it, and exactly how she wants it ... dracarys. Tyrion was already afraid of her, Sansa saw it. Now Jon is afraid of her. This is not going to end well.

A lot of the criticism has talked about that point. Arya was never the PTWP so how could you just have her kill the NK? Now after a week or two I’m thinking. We haven’t seen the PTWP yet. We have yet to see the person or the path for the prophecy. If that’s true then it’s too soon to criticize the path to the end game. We don’t know the end game yet. And I plan to watch the final episodes thinking that.

Did the Red Woman say that the PTWP killed the NK? Maybe the PTWP is about the throne, the end to war, or something else.

Unless the last NK was cut down the same way and Bran the Builder built the wall because they knew there would always be a NK. So there's that.
