I saw this episode again last night and I noticed something interesting. The piano piece, the penultimate dramatic crescendo, starts with Tyrion kissing Sansa's hand. And on second watch this is the two of them going to their deaths. Nothing in it is hopeful or romantic.

This was really well done. Kit gets a lot for the one note, broody etc. But you could feel how desperate, exhausted and frustrated he was. I almost cried. So more than one note.

Most probably not. The pain will get less noticeable, as she ages it will become worse, some of it will impact her quality of life forever. Being beaten and tortured every night is not going to heal without changing the underlying tissue.

The final shot of the crypt after the dead fell shows Tyrion and Sansa standing in the arch. Slowly everyone else approaches them from behind, where they were hiding, including Missandei. So it was Tyrion and Sansa as the only defense and everyone else hiding in fear.

She was fairly calm and collected when she watched Kahl Drogo pour molten gold over her brothers head. Simply brushed it aside that a dragon would not have been burned. So that makes the case that she has some crazy going on.

If they just skip to , later the next day I will be pissed. I know the song is Cersei’s statement, Power is power, but knowledge is power. I think who knows what will determine how people go forward for the throne. Jon is the rightful heir. So Bran, Sam, and Dany know this. Arya is a lethal weapon. So Bran, Sansa, Gendry, Brienne, Pod, and now Davos knows this. It’s quite possible that the Hound knows as well. Arya killed the NK. Bran and Arya. But I have to think that the second the dead fell Jon continued to Bran. So it’s very possible he knows. Again quite possible that the Hound knows as well.

Last season when she was yelling at Littlefinger. The general statement was that she still felt what Ramsay did to her every hour of every day. And she clarified it with, and I don’t mean in my tender innocent heart.

Yes, yes, yes. Remember at the war planning Jon said that the NK never comes out exposed. It was Bran that said he'll come for him. So this makes a lot of sense.

Now I need to check back to hear that. I did like the music. Was it a double base at the end? I've seen where some think it's too similar to WestWorld but it didn't take my mind there. The opening credits music always takes me to WestWorld and not Westeros.

The NK had Viseryon pinning down the threat, Jon. The man with a Valyrian sword. The steel that Joran had was pinned in the field. Jaime and Brienne were pinned on the wall with the swords from Ice. He felt invincible. He was over confident. I believe Bran went to his happy place to watch for Arya. When he ‘saw’ her in position he came back. Theon died and the NK advanced. It wasn’t until the last second that the NK recognized that Bran knew something he didn’t. I like it.

Yes and Jon ended up taking off the tops of the forest as well. So we know now that dragons do not have bat radar.

Arya spent 7 seasons working to protect and avenge the family. Jon spent 7 seasons working to stop the NK. Either killing the NK works. But Arya killing the NK works for the entire arc of the Starks. And maybe that’s why people don’t like it. But time and again we’ve been told that GoT is about more than just the NK. So it’s the right person to end it. We started this season with Arya reminding Jon that it’s family. We ended last season with Sansa and Arya reminding us that the pack survives. So we have half a season left and it’s about that now.

She may hire him but I just think she wants to do this herself. She wants to punish the Septa herself. She wants to punish Ellaria Sand. Not some quiet assassin. She wants to proclaim the punishment and supervise the deed. Although both the waif and Jaqen were seen on set. But really why would Jaqen use the waif's face when the waif face came from Arya.

Anyone else looking forward to the opening credits next week? Just me?

As I watched everyone head to the crypts I thought Tyrion was picking up a little over night bag. I'm like wha? this guy has a go bag at the door. But it was just wine skins. So that made sense.

Dany - Joran is dead. This was her calming influence. Her rational mind. She is left with Missandei who hate the north. Varsys who changes to suit the mood. Tyrion and Grey Worm who believe that she must take the IT. Jon - Onion Knight, a rational mind. Sansa who hates Dany and believes the North should be independent. Bran who well is Bran. Sam who believes Jon should sit the IT and hates Dany. Arya who could probably kill you by just looking at you. The next 3 episodes will be very interesting.

I am watching on a 4K Sony. Last year's Sony not even the fancy new one. The only difference I'm hearing from everyone else is some fancy techie did the balance on my tv. He laughed that he uses GoT to get the darks. I am able to see everything and last night was no exception. So it's possible to get the right set up but I can't help you.

So Davos now knows what skills. Plus did you see that she broke the weapon on the staircase because there wasn’t enough room to swing it whole. I believe the Hound had suspicions of her skills. Now Sansa may not tell Jon but Davos is absolutely going to tell Jon that Arya is lethal.

Well Arya was kissing someone in the preview clip. So Gendry lives or Arya’s a ho.

Nope, I have to say I really have a nice set up. But it is 4K. It does do nice on everything I see from GoT to some crap sitcom. Plus - in case the Dothraki ever come back over the rise it has a nice subwoofer.

I did send an email to the folks that set up my home theater to say ‘nice job I apparently am the only person that can see Game of Thrones’. The tech emailed me back to say that he uses GoT to set the specs. So I’m very lucky.

The first time they had the exchange blue eyes were in the middle of the list. This time it was the last one list, with punctuation.

Nonsense, he gave Arya the dagger she needed to save him. He knew he was safe.

I check my watch 32 minutes in because I thought I might stroke out or something and was hoping the Apple Watch would call 911. Interesting because that was just about the time they took a slow and quiet pace for about 5 minutes.
