Josh & Anna Smuggar: A Series of Unfortunate Events

Thank you very much. I just keep feeling that there may be more going on than has been made public. I appreciate the knowledge and expertise from friends on this board. I am learning a lot! -

The baby would not have that name without Josh's approval. I still think he did it to be mean. -

Is there any possibility that there is a financial aspect to this case, at all? Like maybe tracing where the money came from that was used to pay for the pictures and videos? In my dream world, maybe the money was moved from JB's accounts?? (I really need to stop reading mystery books.) -
Janelle Brown: Smarter Than Your Average Brown (Maybe)
CalicoKitty replied to Rhondinella's topic in Sister Wives
I am sort of surprised that Janelle and Maddy are so into Plexus. I do not know a whole lot of Mormans, but LDS folks that I do know avoid stimulants, including coffee. I don't understand the effects of coffee myself, as I am one of the "odd" people that do not like the taste, or the smell, of coffee. I have never had a cup in my life. ( Mocha flavor in anything and the aroma is enough for me to stay away.) But I'm guessing that the Brown clan does not follow dietary rules any longer. Or they pick and choose what rules to follow. But I am surprised that the Plexus MLM seems to be popular in the LDS community. And I am surprised that the product does not list percentages of ingredients on the label. -
Janelle Brown: Smarter Than Your Average Brown (Maybe)

I use Schwan's, and the truck does deliver every two weeks. I see they are advertising for drivers in my area, so maybe they will be dropping the delivery service soon. I hope not, because they are convenient, and their products are pretty good. I would not use them if the items had to be shipped to me. Schwan's might be a good option for Janelle. They do have a lot of ice cream and desserts. -
What is the deal with writing on her hand? Is her memory going, and she is afraid she can't remember her favorite Bible passages any more? This seems rather childish--or maybe she really needs help.

Josh & Anna Smuggar: A Series of Unfortunate Events

With all the "M" names available for a little girl......(shaking my head.) Unfortunately, I could believe that Smugs bestowed that name on purpose. Just as a bad "inside" joke on his wife to make sure she remembers the past and knows who is boss. I really think he is really that mean and messed up. I, on the other hand, am horrified, and feel very sorry for that baby and her siblings. -
I'm sort of waiting for Jer to come up with something like I saw on a late-night TV commercial. This "pastor" Peter Popoff is giving away "free" packets of miracle water, and the people in the commercial that have imbibed it have new jobs, houses, and lots of money. Popoff is giving these packets free for the asking, but I'm sure large "donations" are involved. It makes me sad to think of people making donations for this little packet of water in the hopes that their lives will immediately have a huge change, but I would be very, very surprised if the guy "giving" the water is not making out in a huge way. Lots of return for very little work--that sounds like Jer's work model.

Joy and Austin: This One Time At Family Camp

I'm sitting here reading these posts, and one of my cats is snuggled on my lap. She had a horrible first year of life, and I adopted her from the shelter when she was less than a year old and had already had a litter of kittens (which she refused to care for). She has become my snuggle buddy, and the sweetest cat ever. As I'm holding her and looking into her beautiful eyes, I can't help but feel so sorry for those two kittens that were put in a box and given to young children to maul, and then "disappeared" and left to their fate. Those kitties need and deserve a loving home and warm lap to cuddle on. I hate to think what would have become of Lily if I had not adopted her, especially since she was a "nipper" until I had all of her rotten teeth pulled and she was out of pain. (She transformed into a "new" cat once the horrible pain of rotten and dissolving teeth was gone). I wish people would realize and accept the commitment to the animals they bring home just because they are "cute". I hope for the best for those kittens, and Brielle, too. -
Yes she was. She was so entertaining.

Barbara Woodhouse. I loved watching her show. She was so good with the dogs.

Not being a shoe diva--at all--I have trouble understanding all the new shoes. Then I remember that Jinger grew up wearing thrift store used shoes from her family communal closet. Having new shoes of her own is a new thing in her life, so she may be going overboard since she has never had this opportunity before. She is probably thrilled to be able to have her daughters have new shoes of their own, too.

I use YoutubeTV as my main tv-watching app, but I have Acorn and Britbox as well. I also have Amazon Prime. I use YoutubeTv because it includes the sports I want as well as most of the stations I like. It is the only streaming app that includes my local PBS station (as well as all the local stations), so I don't have to keep switching to the PBS app all the time. I also watch PLUTO. It is a free app that has so may good live stations, and on-demand stations. It even has a dedicated station for "Midsommer Murders".

I know several people that buy yearly unlimited passes to Disneyland. They are adults, and most do not have children. I do not get the fascination. I can think of more productive ways to spend my vacation time.

I do like my Boll and Branch sheets. They are very soft. But I only have sheets, and bought them when I happened upon a sale. The rest of their bedding and towels are way too expensive for me. BB&B have some very nice cotton sheets that are almost as soft at a much better price. Name brand linen is not that important to me. I also do not show my sheets on the internet.

Tonight's cat blanket. Lilly, the small cat, was peacefully sleeping on my lap. Then along came Flora, who weights about 12 pounds. She plopped down on top of Lilly, and they have both been sleeping peacefully for the last half hour. I keep my house on the cool side, and it is quite cold outside tonight, so I guess they are warm now. They seem very happy, but my legs are getting tired. They do keep me warm, however.

At first glance , Nurie looks very deformed--like hunchback--in that photo. Once I zoomed in I could see that she was a normal shape. What better way for BME to get attention than being pushed in a wheelchair. Maybe she will get an electric scooter because of her SEVERELY damaged knee. Poor little baby. I hope he can stay healthy. He needs to be cuddled up in his own bed instead of being a showpiece.

I just came home from getting my 'flu shot and my booster. My brother the pharmacist says Moderna is currently working on a combined booster/flu vaccine, so next year we can have both in one shot. For people dealing with elders and ipads, there is a product called "Grandpad" that my dad really liked. It is an ipad-like thing that is also a cell phone. The beauty of it in dealing with elders is that you control who is in their phone book, so they can only call their friends and family, and only designated friends and family can call them. No more worries about spam calls. It has video call, also. You can put pictures of the people in their phone list, so they just have to touch the photo to dial. It has all kinds of games (poker, bridge, slots, black jack, and many more), music and other features. I spoke to them about adding an app for people that cannot speak. My dad really could have used that, but I don't know if that has been added or not. They can take it anywhere and use the phone and games. There is no internet feature, so no worries about scam emails. But you do have to have it connected to the internet to use it. And, if they break it or it gets lost, the company replaces it. It costs about the same as a cell phone per month, but if you have elders that are alert but you don't want them bothered by scams, and you want to keep in touch, it is great. My dad really liked it, until he could not speak at all anymore. They are based in NE Iowa, and the customer service wonderful. it is worth looking into, in my opinion. My mom is too far gone mentally, so we do not have the service any longer.
