  1. I'm driving a 2015 CRV, and I only replaced my 2010 because some guy drove into the side of it. The car body did exactly what it was supposed to do. The car had a crunched side, and I had no injury at all.
  2. Everyone goes home and eats dinner. I would like to say that is a typo, but I know it isn't. What a nice message from Heidi's mom. And Tim's response is nice, too. This is one time I am pretty sure that Jill did not write a message and sign Tim's name. (Also, no random capital letters.)
  3. Do these people have any sense at all? Will they cry persecution when her purse or wallet is stolen? Who goes shopping in a grocery store with their purse open in a cart? I don't care how close they are, purse snatchers can work very fast. Oh, that's right. They are protected because they are so special.
  4. Giddy had recently been taken off oxygen and just dismissed from the NICU. He needed to be home with his parents, not dragged around and almost suffocated by his granny. I really don't get these people, but I guess I have seen worse. At least they are feeding him.
  5. I was wondering how long it would take Jill to post something about the pictures Tim and Heidi posted. She must be seething, and will probably double down on the "dating" behavior of the other kids in the future. I hope the others find less restrictive families that will allow them in. I think Tim has really lucked out. I fear for the future of younger ones.
  6. Jill says her children are "her world" and then lets them go on equipment that they have no business being on in clothing that is a danger in the situation. I hope someone sends these pictures to the hotel. I wonder if the hotel insurance would cover an injury to one of the children when they were not supposed to be on the equipment in the first place. This is so wrong on many levels.
  7. I've set the episodes to record in case I get busy.
  8. Kneeling on filthy hotel carpet creeps me out. Why was that necessary? It would not surprise me if at least one member of this crew actually has to sleep on the floor. I had a friend who was a hotel maid, and she had some real "interesting" stories. She said hotel carpets are very dirty. The carpets are vacuumed, but not steam cleaned very often. But I guess it is a moot point after living in the RV.
  9. My good news today is that the brain tumor that was discovered 2 weeks ago is small enough for radiation, so they don't have to cut into my skull. The radiation should keep it from growing any larger. So far I haven't had any symptoms, so I'm glad it was found now rather than later. It was just happenstance. I was really dizzy after a chiropractor adjustment, and just happened to have an appointment with my primary the next week. She suggested a carotid ultrasound and brain CT, but really thought the dizziness was connected to allergies. The CT showed a tumor, I had an MRI, and saw the neuro doc all within two weeks. I really like the doctor, but I will have to drive a little over an hour to Reno for the radiation treatments. No idea when or how many yet, but I don't mind since the alternative means actual surgery. This was the best news, and I am very happy tonight.
  10. Our Lutheran church--actually all the Lutheran churches I know--had parsonages. In the late 1960's-early 1970's, most congregations restructured the Pastor's salary and paid part of the Pastor's housing so they could buy a house and earn equity. Many of the parsonages were turned into church offices or classrooms and are still on the property. Some congregations sold the house. I don't know any church that has a parsonage anymore.
  11. I didn't look too closely, but is the floor uneven, or is it the hutch itself? Either way the hutch does not belong in the kitchen blocking a door and a window (and a switch and a plug).
  12. I don't know. He looks very comfortable with Heidi and her family. I think (hope) he has grown up a lot since he made those posts. His smiles look real to me, and I hope he will start to see through Jill. I'm thinking Heidi's family is much more calm and organized than the barndo with manic Jill. I really hope he has a chance at a somewhat "normal" life.
  13. I wonder how many buyers demand to have all the holes in the walls filled, the inside repainted, and tile changed. That would have to be in the contract if I bought one of these houses (I'm not--ever).
  14. I'm glad they had a good trip. Nice to see that she is wearing "normal" shorts and tops with skinny straps. They look like a normal couple on a cruise. They look very happy. I'm sure they did not spend all their time in their room having "Bible study" like Pecan and Priss.
  15. I just did a quick Google search, and Plexus claims to have O sodium. I'm guessing she "serves" a lot of canned food, when she does feed her family. Plus eating out and fast food. She really does need to go to a doctor. At least have some labs run. But we all know she won't.
  16. I carry a home warranty policy that covers replacement on appliances that they can't fix. They did not cover the refrigerator door gaskets because that was fixable, but if they could not repair a compressor they would replace the item. My brother has the same company, and they replaced his dryer with a new one when his old dryer parts were no longer available. I have used this company for a plumbing issue, and they replaced parts that cost a lot more than their service fee. With the way appliances are made today, I figure the membership fee is well worth the peace of mind. (In my opinion, for what it's worth)
  17. Appliances are not made the same anymore. I had to replace the door gaskets on my 3-year-old Whirlpool refrigerator this year. They fell apart in shreds. I have never had to replace door gaskets on any refrigerator, and my last one was at least 18 years old. Over $400 just for the gaskets, plus the repair guy's fee. I am sorry you had to take a hit on the food you lost. I'm glad you found a refrigerator that you like that can be delivered soon. Good luck!
  18. I watched an episode last night with a husband who had ADHD and needed a basement or garage for his gym equipment so he could work out because it was this therapy. The wife was "very particular" and kept sort of ignoring his needs. She had some weird mouth movements--almost tics--and kept scratching her head. They were not very pleasant to watch. They ended up with the house with a shared driveway and a gym rack already installed in the garage, so he did get his much needed workout space. I just really didn't like how they interacted with each other.
  19. Maybe they can find a dentist who will rig something up for her mouth. Does PVC pipe come that small?
  20. I think it would be just like JB to fund expensive projects for Jessa, or give her a good allowance, just to spite Jill. Jessa is toeing the line, after all.
  21. Add to the list of things that was sad in Jessa's upbringing----she was told she could cut hair well. Poor Bin and kids. And yet, she doesn't trim her own hair often enough.
  22. As a woman, Heidi can't pay for any "treats" for Jill. Jill will only ever be interested in her sons-in-law and what they can give her. Daughters-in-law will only be blamed for taking her sons away. I sure wouldn't want to marry into this family (cult).
