Probably not well, but that's why she's a little too young for this type of thing. They would be better to just wait till she's older to fully enjoy it. I mean, it worked out so well for him back in town at his grandparents' house at Thanksgiving. 🙄 Why is Rafe sitting around town square causally talking gossip and personal life with Lucas and kissing Nicole when the devil is on the loose and Philip Kiriakis's leg is on his interrogation room table? Same here. And after today's episode, I think the show agrees that there is no real love there between Nicole and EJ. When a character who is a few sandwiches short of a picnic like Susan nails the problem, well...like she said, get over yourself Elvis! That might have been the best line of the day (my hubs even busted out laughing). Lucas nailed it too when he said Nicole getting back with EJ will work out for her as well as him taking a drink. Lots of good dialogue and conversations today.

I know they won't, but if ever there's a time they could go there, now (during Mardevil) would be the moment for MEN...or would it be Barlena? It would make things super awkward for them afterwards (like once Marlena was herself again, not "afterwards" as in Mardevil is smoking a cigarette and Ben is there with his abs on display saying, "Wow, I didn't know an older woman could do that"), but it would be hilarious.

I agree, age does matters when it comes to decisions, actions/behavior, and coping techniques. It's one thing when someone in their teens or twenties lacks experience and maturity, but Nicole is old enough to know that sex is not the answer to her problems. I don't find her rootable either. Aside from often being a nosy harpy, butting into other people's business like the next Julie Williams, she has a long history of making poor choices. The drunken affair with her nemesis Zander was a perfect example of the later. So many better ways to solve a communication problem with the husband she told to leave the country in the first place. And it's pretty sad when it seems like the once "I'll give my baby to my next new favorite person" twentysomething Allie now seems like a more responsible and attentive mother than Nicole does. I'm also 100% with you on the chemistry-less EJ and Nicole. Not that I think nuEJ has chemistry with anyone, I also find AZ to lack romantic chemistry with the long list of males she's been paired with as well. On that note, don't forget to add Daniel to the list. (I know, I know, we'd all like to forget him.) I suppose Nicole could try Ben, Jake, or Chad. I don't think she's hopped in bed with them....yet. 🤔

EJ seemed satisfied when he had sex with Abigail too in the post-coital moments, but that didn't work out so well for EJ either. Or Abs for that matter. Don't imagine Nicole is going to fare any better. Plus, on top of Sami, she's likely to have Ava out to get her once she finds out about Halloween.

While I agree that Nicole has seemed more in touch with the real issues at hand than EJ in the last few days/weeks (it's hard to tell time in Salem), at the point today where she was envisioning (hallucinating?) Rafe's face where EJ stood, I'd say she took a wrong turn handling it by having sex with EJ. Feel good or not, sex wasn't the answer, with or without all the oversharing. In fact, sex (w/Zander) is what started her problems. Then sex with Rafe just confused her all the more. Being upfront with EJ ("hey I'm probably going to think about Rafe") or not isn't going to help her. Lord help Duke if she looks at him and sees Rafe's face next.

It's not on them like an obligation, but most people would be concerned about their mother or the woman they just rescued enough to say, "hey, one of us should probably go with her in case her captor tries to take her again." Maybe it will strike them in tomorrow's episode, but where it left off today they just all seemed like the ordeal/threat was over, which it isn't since the culprit and the reason for the abduction is still unknown. There's a big space between "Hey I just want to get over this guy. Let's go out for pizza and talk about something else," and "Hey I'm horny for Rafe. Take me to bed so I can scratch an itch," and Nicole was definitely saying the latter. And EJ has way too many "issues" right now for it to be just sex--not with a woman his wife hates, a woman who also cheated on her husband like he's mad at his wife about, a woman he has a dicey past with, etc. etc. etc. If EJ just wanted sex, he could just swipe right on Tinder. EJ might say he wants to move on, but that's the last thing he's doing. Too bad the only psychiatrist in town is possessed by the devil.

Any one of them could have followed her to make sure she was safe wherever she went. Provided Lucas isn't behind it (and thus would then know she's safe), I would think he'd want to make sure she didn't get snatched up by her unknown assailants and thus he wouldn't have to rescue the mother of his kids again. It might be forthcoming, but it's beyond TMI. And it takes "don't talk about your exes on a date" etiquette to a whole new level. Also I don't think that EJ is really okay with it because he's fine with just being "friends with benefits" or just because he got laid. He's temporarily okay with it because by getting his dick wet with someone else, someone Sami hates, he screwed her over, and because Nicole, in the moment, chose him over Rafe. That helps soothe his bloated but wounded ego for the time being. If he was really cool with an open relationship, he wouldn't have had the conversation he had w/Ava an hour before.

On today’s episode of Days of Our Dumbasses… Everyone let just rescued Sami walk out the door by herself and no one was concerned someone might grab and kidnap her again? Belle: “He’s had more than his fair share of paternity tests” for a man who’s supposed to be sterile. Shawn: “Oh you’re right!”…. We ran one for Claire! Dang, I almost forgot about that time I thought he got you pregnant but it was really mine. Allie: “She’s a wonderful mother to Holly” ya know, that invisible kid who’s somewhere in the apartment while she’s off sleeping with Zander…and Rafe….and now EJ. Nicole: “I can’t get Rafe out of my head so let’s go upstairs to the bedroom.” WTF? Did Rolf forget to put nuEJ’s brain back when he reassembled him cause on what life-form planet is that a turn-on? And then their idea of “pillow talk” was discussing whether they thought about other people during!!! WTF again. Pretty much confirmed my assertions that Nicole is only bidding time with EJ when she really wants Rafe, and nuEJ is only using Nicole to get back at Samantha and assuage his wounded overinflated ego. Ab's fascination with floral wouldn't be so bad if she'd switch it up a bit. But it's like she has a whole closet full of very similar dresses. Perhaps, a wardrobe mix-up might be fun. Why did Rafe even need the physical phone at all??? He could have just gotten Chad's permission for the phone records to see who Kristin made calls to. Was kinda rich of Rafe to insinuate it was Chad's fault Kristin escaped when it was his police station that left a criminal known for escapes have visitors in the first place, yet alone allow the visitors to take cell phones or any personal items into the room. Forget the cake, at the Salem PD you can probably just walk through the doors with a file in your hands. I continue to find NuEJ a stiff and bland bore. I don't see chemistry between him and anyone. Sami and Lucas seeing each other again though felt genuine/seemed sweet.

Definitely a continuity error as I'm sure they've said Sydney is away at college now. Surely, she's not still in Italy by herself if she was that young. Or more likely this Christmas movie is pointless, senseless, and has no connection to the storylines of the actual daily show.
