Probably because she gravitates to him over Philip in most matters, but it could also have been simply to share in the ick factor. One of those, 'OMG this is so gross you have to hear about it' moments; similar to 'this tastes terrible, here try it' situations. Otherwise, it seems like something super awkward (and definitely cringey) to tell your boss about one of his employees even if all three of them are friends.

I can't decide if my favorite line of the day was "you're both idiots" (from Victor to Gabby & Jake) or "sure shakes your faith in the Salem PD" (from Chad regarding Kristin's escape). Both were spot on.

I'm team Phillip. He's needed something meatier to do on the show for a while now, and I'm a sucker for villains. They are generally more interesting and smarter than the so-called heroes and heroines. On that note, it's about time they brought back Orpheus again. Agree, there's definitely some potential there. Today Ava was like Gwen's life coach for embracing a 'bad girl and I don't care' philosophy.

Per Eli, Allie had the twins with Henry. So after learning that her mother has been kidnapped and held hostage for 3 months and her father rushed off to try and locate her, Allie left the pub, picked up Henry and went to the park where she offered to watch 3 kids under the age of 3 and deal with 3 car seats? Yeah, I don’t think so. I realize the viewers know the cabin in the woods has been visited by an angel, but for all Dumb and Dumber know they could have just invited a serial killer to dinner. I'm starting to find that I'd have preferred TPTB left EJ dead/missing, and I can't believe I just had to write that. Also, this reminds me that when Nicole and EJ "reunited" about circa 2010 (after the 1st fake pregnancy & Sidney kidnapping) Nicole really wanted to be with Brady, but EJ forced her back to him (maybe something about getting custody of his kids with Sami???). Then somewhere along the line they did become a couple again (before, during, or after his sex with her sister I can't remember) and thus Nicole fell for EJ again which is when she got pregnant to him the second time (2011 or '12 at this point). Anyways, it struck me that Nicole settled for EJ then when she really wanted Brady, and she's probably about to settle for him again when she really wants Rafe....and maybe still wants Eric. I dunno know about the later. Though I'm sure a threesome w/Rafe and Eric is out of the question for her and she knows it so either way, she's settling for EJ like a meal you know will probably give you diarrhea, but it's dinner time and on the plate in front of you and making something else is too much work so you eat it anyways. This! I couldn't agree more. May the devil not resurrect him next Halloween. Salem seems to brush off actions during a demonic possession about the same as getting drunk. It's kinda like, "Oh remember that one time you had too much Satan in you and revealed that...." 100% Mardevil and Ben should act out their latent feelings and be the next love triangle. I really want to see a Friday cliffhanger that end with Ciara aghast. "OMG Ben, what kind of therapy session is that? Marlena, take your horns off him!" Now that you mention it, all of these Last Blast Dance teen scene characters have never moved past their adolescent issues. Jan spears is about the only storyline Shawn & Belle have had on their own for the last year or more too. It's like the show forgets that they are now forty.

I thought Phillip and Gabi had some chemistry too. I'm also completely down with him hooking up w/Belle again. I always thought MM and JKJ had chemistry. Close enough for me. And you're completely right about nuEj's hypocrisy lack of self-awareness. By my calculations, Sami needs to have sex at least a few more times w/Lucas before her and EJ are close to being even after that whole debacle of him screwing Princess Abigail. I figure, he turned to Abs when Sami kicked him out of the bedroom and his wee-wee got lonely so it's only fair that Sami turned to Lucas when her lady bits were lacking attention. Till Sami takes another lover, he has no business sniffing around Nicole.

No, this is nothing but re-run Ron rehashing crap from 2008-9ish. It's why I'm soooo over it. After that triangle/storyline, EJ and Nicole were over each other. (In fact, EJ even had sex with Nicole's sister, ironically played by the actress who is Ava.) Real EJ never forgave Nicole for faking a pregnancy to hold onto him. Sami never forgave Nicole for switching and kidnapping her daughter, but the show at least hasn't forgotten or dropped their distaste for each other.

All of the above and Salem should probably have a Mardevil Alert--like an Amber Alert for abducted children but for demon possession of local citizens. Maybe even an occasional public television test to remind Salemites and their invisible children of the possibility. "This is a test of the Salem Emergency Broadcasting System. This is just a test. If this had been an actual possession emergency the alert tone you just heard would have been following by your lights flashing, your windows blowing open, and demonic noises. Why in hell does the Salem PD hold a convicted criminal who has escaped multiple times, in their interrogation room for days, with visitors, unsupervised and unshackled! Pretty sure in the real world not only would Kristin go immediately back to the jail she escaped from, she'd also very likely get transferred to a higher security prison. 60 years ago, Alcatraz would have had a cell with Kristin's name on it waiting for her.

She did come off the smarter of the two in that scene and yet, when she rolled off with, "But I finally have a job, and I, I, I," I still wanted to smack her. 100%! You nailed it! I can't stand how Chloe tries to act all sweet and innocent and treats Phillip as the irrational one all while refusing to put boundaries between her and Brady for the sake of making their relationship work. It would be one thing if it really was all in Phillip's head and there were no feelings left between her and Brady, but they all know there is. The fear of psycho Kristin is what's stopping her. And probably rightfully so. Never the less, if she's not fully invested in a relationship w/Phillip, she could just go back to NY to her son and telework for Basic Black.

I'd like to think that Shawn is secretly as annoyed with his sister as the viewers are, but it's probably more likely that Shawn just isn't that sharp. He does work for the Salem PD after all. Agree. But then I really don't think Chloe is the prize that Phillip and Brady both think she is. Not even gonna touch on the fact that the woman hasn't lived with her own child (by her choice) in almost a year now. I keep expecting Parker to show up in town one day, SORASed and with major mommy issues. At this point I'm pretty sure Lani saw her own mother/Auntie P without knowing it was her mother more often than Parker sees his.

I had that thought too, but then decided that was giving Ron too much credit. Might have been interesting (and more true to character/lore) though if he would have crafted a well planned story where the devil subtly played on various Salemites weaknesses and vices which led to Mardevil's gaslighting of John's anger management issues where instead of her telling them she was being abused, her family & friends suspected it like how she tricked everyone that Doug had dementia. Imagine the fun she could have with Ciara's self-absorption & vanity and Abigail's sanctimonious ego.

Mardevil sure knew how to hook 'dumb but loyal' Ben. She almost caught a snag though with 'it's all about me' Ciara. I really thought 'wife-beater' John was going to yell, “Let me in! Let me in or I’ll blow this dumpy apartment down!” Btw, why is there an eye chart on the wall outside their door? Was there once an eye doctor office above the mechanic shop in Salem? Or does CIN just like checking their vision each day?

I really don't want to listen to Sarah's cutesy voice so I seriously hope that either this is a quick "wrap up the character" story arc (like Eric's 2 day return) or Sarah comes back completely over Zander and focuses on being a doctor because, ya know, Salem is so short on them these days. I kinda like Gwen and Zander together, and I don't seem to mind Zander as much when he's with her.

It seems as if the Dimeras are less fussy about their furniture than Julie is hers. I guess after all the people who've had sex on the Dimera couch, a little blood and soiled pants are no big deal. 😄 Ciara is so conceited she'll probably just eat up the attention. The devil outta know how to play her like a fiddle. On a similar note, since I wasn't listening that closely to their opening scene, did they not go to Thanksgiving dinner because of her morning sickness or did no one invite their obnoxious asses?

I can't wait for that scene. Ava might even become my new hero. Kate must be her role model. The list of men those two haven't sleep with is shorter than the ones they have. I had that thought too, but eww at Marlena sleeping with her son-in-law. Bad enough Brady bangs his dad's ex. Then again, it could also be Jan out of her coma and in some disguise she bummed off Kristin. Not that sleeping with her is much less cringey. LOL

Nice to see the family gatherings infused with excitement this year. Anna with the hatchet rocked, and Shawn flying across the table was unexpected. I wonder if BB did his own stunt? Although I really did want to see Shawn take her down to the station, call Rafe to fill him in, and book her as.... possessed? Or charge Satan for impersonating a psychiatrist? Does Salem have laws on the books for this kind of incident? I was only disappointed that no one called her Dr. Satan. But Julie's "not today Satan" line was hilarious.

The devil aside, she probably would have fared better over the years if she'd have been packing. lol And at the risk of starting a conversation that probably fits better in Past Plot Discussion, after all these years I still find that ISA kidnapping Marlena/get the bonds/Stockholm storyline one of the best (even if Marlena annoyed me). It was a great suspense/mystery (continuity issues and all), fueled Steve and Kayla's budding romance, and introduced Orpheus. Nothing turned out to be Dimera related, and Victor was still in his mob/bad business days villain mode. Plus whilel watching I found myself wishing they'd bring back Chief Vaughn from the ISA. I guess Gillian though is still doing jail time for her later crimes. #GoodTimes 😁

No, this wasn't when Orpheus had her, though personally I'd have taken George D's sexiness over Drake's any day, but I digress. This was before that when everyone only knew Orpheus's name but didn't know who he was. (Roman hadn't remembered that he killed his wife yet.) And some of it was before she got kidnapped by the ISA, which is sorta how they pulled the kidnapping off because she was so busy being annoyed with having protection. Kinda bit her in the ass. Anyways, her comments to her captors (the ISA agents) were remarkably similar to lines Ciara uttered to Rhodes. Ron probably watched the old clips too and just ripped them off/rehashed them.

Honestly, I never thought Marlena was all that she was cracked up to be. In fact, I recently re-watched some episodes from late '86 when she was taken and held captive by the ISA (though she and Roman/John believed it was Orpheus who had her) and I thought she was bitchy and annoying. Reminded me of Ciara when Rhodes had her.

I don't like Nicole, and NuEj is a drip so I find their scenes a snooze-fest and lacking any kind of chemistry. I could skip them and not feel like I missed anything important. Plus I have a completely different take on their interactions. All I see when they are on screen together is wounded ego EJ licking his wounds after "Samantha" got action from someone else and he didn't, and Nicole just passing the time because her husband left her after her epic oppsie with Zander and she doesn't know what to do with her feelings for Rafe. Also yesterday the continuity error with SOARS was glaring as they transitioned from scenes of Sami who remembers her mother's origional possession because she was a teenager to scenes of younger "happy days" John and Kristin....Kristin who later had 'pregnant with EJ' Susan Banks pretend to be her. So what is Days doing w/that timeline now? Are they pretending that those '90s scenes of Kristin and John together happened AFTER she tricked him into thinking she was carrying his child? Because if EJ isn't supposed to be Samantha's younger man, then he'd have had to have been born before the flashback scenes. Or the '90s flashbacks are now supposed to be '70s flashbacks? 🙄

The day Satan caused the hospital black-out, I thought she was going to have to be the electrician too! I'm still not sure she's not going to have to perform an exorcism in-utero on CIN's demon spawn. I'm kinda envisioning a future scene that involves the ultrasound machine, electrical paddles, and a bible.

I wonder if Hallmark makes a card for a grown women who finds out that her father who she's only known for six years isn't her dad? Something that says, "I'm sorry you're shocked, but no childhood daddy is better than being raised by an abusive control freak. Oh and btw, your real mama was in Miami when this faux daddy story came about so bitch slap your fake-mama/real aunt next time." The real sympathy card should go to Abe. He's lived in the same town, of which he's the mayor, for 40 years and only 2 friends show up at his wedding! Plus after all these years in Salem and he foolishly believed the ceremony would go off w/out a hitch. Eventually Abe and Paulina owe Chanel a thank you card. It might have been a hassle to get a Satan officiated wedding annulled. Did someone send satanic Kristin 1.0 a "if at first you don't succeed, try...try again" card? Pretty sure that seduction scene felt like a rerun from a few days ago.
