  1. And I'm sure we're supposed to think Cam's the jerk because he doesn't want to be her friend. Double vom. Bye, Britt. :( ETA...I do hope this death leads Dr. O to scorching the Earth.
  2. So instead of a bittersweet, British-y ending where Britt goes off to live her life on her terms, we get...this. Ugh. And why couldn't she have stepped in to save someone she actually knows and cares about - like Spencer, that would have been perfect - instead of stupid, annoying, and now remorless and hypocritically cheat-y Joss. Also, I don't get the whole poison on the hook thing. If you want your calling card weapon to be a hook, gut people. If you want to poison people, I dunno, maybe a blowgun or syringe would be more effective.
  3. I finally started watching Amazon's "With Love" to get ready for Scott Evans' guest arc in the second season and I spotted another OLTL alum! Brandon Routh (Seth Anderson) popped up in the second episode as Leo, a flirty running buddy of Constance Marie's character.
  4. That reminds me of, on OLTL, Dani deciding the best time to dump Matthew for Old Man Nate was at his parents' wedding right before he was to give the best man speech. Sounds like a good Britt day, will have to watch.
  5. And if I'm remembering right, Rex sought Eli out in the next episode because Gigi had chosen Schuyler so asshole decided he should get full custody of the child Gigi raised alone for 90% of his life. Anyway, Eli took said meeting in the trashed hotel room, which was funny.
  6. Sooo I'm less behind and more haven't been watching lol. But things I've read made it sound like Britt's exit ramp is being built. Should I be catching up or starting to watch? Also, what's going on with Lucy? Is she still Victor's prisoner?
  7. Ugh, so now that she has a smidge of moral high ground to climb on versus Cain and a steadfast supporter in Caleb, Chas is back to not feeling bad at all about what she's done. Yelling at Paddy that she wasn't going to be bullied out of her life, the life she would have abandoned all on her own if Al hadn't been killed, was ridiculous. I'm so tired of her.
  8. Blair was at VicTodd's because Dorian, threatened by Mitch Laurence, used her power as mayor to free Lowell, the former mayor who had had Starr and Hope kidnapped as part of his drug ring. All the Carmers turned on Dor and moved into VicTodd's, though Starr, Lang, and Hope all fled to Cole and Markko's apartment pretty soon after. I do remember we were all VERY concerned that Blair was again getting leftovers because Eli had rather inexplicably turned on brother Ross to support slash moon at Tea over the Dani sitch. But yeah, Blair and Eli ended up being hot and fun and adult before it was torched that summer of teens, Teens, TEENS.
  9. Poor Shirley, I realized watching this episode that she's lost Tina and Mick in one year. At least she got to take her grief out on Janine's neck, her throttling the hell out of her was delightful. And there's a delicious irony to it that Janine's been taken down this time because her own daughter refuses to lie. I am confused why Sonia is involved here, she and Janine aren't related in any way, right?
  10. I get that a lot of the people giving Chas static - Mandy, Belle, even Paddy himself - are hypocrites becuase they've had affairs themselves, but her self-pity is really doing this character no favors. Her crestfallen shock when Aaron wouldn't talk to her? What did she think he meant when he basically disowned her over all this when he left the vilage? I'm kinda bummed she (I'm presuming) is going to have a supporter in retconned new brother Caleb.
  11. The super quick cut to Shirley taking a self-satisfied sip of champagne as Linda attacked Janine was a thing of beauty.
  12. FINALLY! I loved how calm Paddy was throughout confronting Chas, and particularly how he pointed out that Chas not only betrayed and disrespected him behind his back, but treated him horribly when they were in the same room. "Did loving him really mean you had to hate me?" was a fantastic line. And oh, then them returning to the Woolpack and the reveal that Moira was sitting at the bar waiting to tear into Chas, so soapy and fun. I gasped when Moira elbowded Charity hard in the face to get her off her. Interesting that Chas didn't drop Aaron in it about knowing. Wonder if that shoe will drop. Aw cute hug with Arthur and the other teens, I like this squad much better than Noah, Amelia, etc.
  13. Surprised we've already had Arthur come out to Laurel. Laurel never quite won me back after the Marlon years, but she handled that conversation beautifully. I did kinda wish she had mentioned Jasmine when Arthur asked if Ashley would have been okay with him being gay (I don't recall him caring about Jas being bisexual). How are we supposed to feel about Elliot outing Arthur to their peer group like that - was he being malicious or just an idiot? In other news, Belle dragging Chas like a river when she realized she never finished the affair with Al was a thing of beauty. And oh man, Moira's face when Belle connected the dot that that's why Cain "killed" Al. Me thinks Chas is gonna be getting a "gift from Glasgow"!
  14. Interesting that they had Arthur come out to Nicola first. I liked it, though, and I liked that she brought up Paul. Hey, maybe when Arthur's more comfortable with his sexuality, she can tell him about the time she tried to take Paul's bisexual boyfriend off him!
  15. Guy Pearce was such a good sport, I could see him making some sort of bridge appearance if his schedule allowed. But I also think it'd be narratively easier - not just for Jane, but for lots of other story avenues - for the show to start with a time jump. Maybe it's a year later and you have Jane say she and Mike tried, but it wasn't the same as when they were teens, and they parted as friends without seeing Mike at all. I wouldn't mind more Jane (we know the writers had plans to do more with her son and then to bring in her kids' father), though the only must-have I think they still need to lock in IMO is Terese.
  16. OMFG. Obie is so boring, his girlfriend whose name I don't even know is so boring, and reintroducing him this week by having him being judgey about his friends (a.k.a. the characters we actually like) being "messy" and such a drag was a biiiig mistake. Just get rid. Aw I'm happy Audrey, Aki, and Max went public, and that Kiki was cool with it, and that Max's dads might be getting back together! So Nate's paper is doing a Sunday magazine spotlight on influential teenagers...at a dinner where they're all clearly drinking wine. Cool. Still no Georgina. :(
  17. The bitch(-ing about "Gossip Girl") is back! With a pretty decent premiere, I thought. It definitely feels like the creative team got a note to soap it up and speed it up. Having Julien learn of Monet's scheme to go to war with her happened much sooner than I was expecting, and the shoving match between them (with Zoya and Shan jumping in) descending into a sea of debs scrapping with each other was fun. And I like that they recentered the conflict between Julien and Zoya to be more about their differences - in upbringing, in personality, in ambition - goosed by their new living situation and Zoya's jealousy over Nick's growing paternal bond with Julien (which I found very sweet, btw) versus being about a guy who was definitely not worth it. Speaking of said guy, I had to laugh when the opening montage cut away from Obie's car without even showing him and then when he was barely seen or even spoken about for the rest of the episode. It's like they know how much the character/actor doesn't work, just ship him off to boarding school, I say. At first, I was feeling bad for Max because Audrey and Aki were clearly if perhaps unintentionally bruising his feelings, and for myself because the idea of the storyline being about keeping it a secret versus exploing how a polyamrous relationship works was not what I wanted to see. But then Max's chats with Luna (I still love their side friendship, btw) helped recontextualize Audrey and Aki's actions for me the same way it did for Max. I liked that they ended the episode in an okay place. Also? That shot of Aki about to, um, finish on his partners was rather racy, yes? I wasn't sure about Shan being made a regular since we saw her in one and a half episodes last year, but I was into her this episode. It's smart to give Zoya a friend outside the main social circle (something, for example, Little J never had) and her rapid-fire retorts were fun (i.e. the one about knowing a guy who could kidnap and reprogram Julien). Kate continues to suck, as a person and as Gossip Girl. I liked Jordan calling her out on her mission to help the kids or whatever she claims Gossip Girl is about this week being a total crock now that she's all focused on Camille de Haan. Her using Nick to get into the deb ball while still judging him for his moral failings was crappy. And while I'm guessing they're going to bone eventually, I liked that new teacher in Camille's pocket being a thorn in her side all episode. Have we seen that kid Harris before, the one who complimented Jordan's overalls and then was a bitch who loves drama to Audrey at the restaurant she, Aki, and Max were at? He was fun, keep him in the mix. I also liked the Serena and Blair analogs from the other school morphing into Monet's minions with the meta toned down. Finally, no Georgina. :( I didn't think she would be in the premiere, but I hope she's in the mix soon.
  18. Hell, let's find out Al was cheating on her with Edna's niece Eve, just to remind us that it's so dumb Chas named her daughter that. In other news...David and Victoria are over? Thank gawd, they were very boring. Maybe now that Leyla's free, she and David can get back together?
  19. I'm seriously running out of words to express how unlikable they're writing Chas. Getting all crabby that people are, correctly, gossiping about what a cheating scumbag Al was? Going to the prison to whine at Cain that she can't tell anyone she loved Al? Just...shut up, Chas, just shut up.
  20. Didn't Viki take in Markko that summer, after he had gotten kicked out of his house for his relationship with Lang? That aside, I wouldn't be surprised - given Frank or Frons or both were hot on keeping Starr and her peer group front and center - if they considered giving Viki and Charlie an adopted child in that age range so they could be involved in those teen dramas versus having stories of their own.
  21. I am EXTREMELY behind. Is there anything worth looking at? What's Britt up to, is she still stuck with Cody, is the exit ramp in place for Kelly Thiebaud? Is Lucy still missing/presumed dead and, if so, have they given a reason why Serena wouldn't come to town? Has Carly done anything extra annoying I should be aware of?
  22. There were little things in that slow 2009 period that I'm curious if were meant to blossom into more. Like, I remember Kim having a very big reaction to meeting Jared, thinking he was super hot, maybe Kim was going to try and work an angle there vs. Clint in some original plan. And there were Nat and Jared's interactions with Kyle, which I always loved. Brett Claywell and John Brotherton are, by Instagram accounts, good friends to this day so I've always wondered if there was more story there too. And yes, it's sucks that they veered away from a more grounded conflict between them and Jessica post-the 2008 Tess rampage.
  23. Wow! https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-news/neighbours-soap-amazon-freevee-return-1235264001/ So far, they've got Susan, Karl, Paul, and Toadie locked in to return. I would love for a full-time Izzy return, but not sure that's something the actress wants. And I wonder what that means for Jane, given how lovely the Jane/Mike ending was and given - even though he was a such a good sport about the finale - I can't imagine Guy Pearce being interested.
  24. So now Chas is pushing Paddy and screaming at him when all he's doing is trying to support her? ...is Lucy Pargeter leaving or something? I dunno how the writers think they're gonna bring Chas back from this.
  25. Season 2 trailer: Georgina (!) breaking into Kate's apartment, by all accounts, to tell Kate how much she sucks feels like it was for me specifically. Also, given he's barely visible in the trailer and doesn't say a word, I feel like the show should just get rid of Obie, he would seriously lift right out.
