I still wish they had brought in Mark Lawson as Lucky instead of poor, doomed Dustin. As for Josh Kelly, given the hints he had ties to Britt and Dante, I personally was speccing he was going to be a WSB agent involved in Britt's secret about her time on the run with Faison and Dante's off-screen time with the agency. But oh well.

He played Cutter Wentworth. He was brought in as part of a story with Joey, Kelly, and Joey's new girl Aubrey, then eventually got bounced over to Rex and Gigi's orbit towards the end of the ABC run. But then, yeah, on the Prospect Park OLTL, he was paired with Natalie (which I personally dug a lot). Cutter was also secrectly/retcon-ily the brother of Amanda's Setton OLTL character Kimberly Andrews.

You guys, I'm bummed, I wanted to be into this Britt/Cody thing so much because I've always been #teambritt and I liked Josh Kelly on OLTL and I liked that they were bringing on someone new for her that wasn't someone else's leftover, but this isn't off to a great start - making Brad a jerk to his BFF, inserting Spinelli, etc. Even the on-screen reunion of Kelly and Amanda Setton didn't make me giddy the way it should have.

I would have loved to have seen Dr. O and Brad meet up to discuss their intervention of Britt, given they've both tried to kill the other. But I am glad they finally made the subtext text about Britt's spiral and clinging to the idea of Jason being at least partially about the Huntington's.

Considering she's a mob moll slash former mob queen who had an elderly woman kidnapped last year, I'm sure she has no concerns about the consequences of white collar crime. Also, isn't is shitty of Carly to be plotting against the husband of her alleged friend and business partner Olivia?

At least Dr. O isn't sashaying around Anna's home declaring herself an "honorary Scoprio".

OMG now Carly's making decrees about who deserves the Quartermaine legacy AND she declared Drew the Lila. GET OUT!

Carly's claim that she and Monica are totes cool made my eyes roll so hard they flew out of my head. You'll never be cool, Carls, you've dragged Monica's sons down one and by one, and you helped cover for the MURDERER of one of them!

Will Dr. Michael Easton mention to Jeff how he's the father of his granddaughter with Rebecca Budig, the daughter Jeff never knew about? Previews...Britt and Brad and Dr O.! But ew, Carly's charming, coaxing voice with Drew icks me out.

When did she complain about her storyline? I think she was making light of Britt's drunken shenanigans the other day.

Yeeeah...I like Kelly and I'm glad he's on a soap of mine again, but I didn't think it was cute when Cameron Mathison and Michael E. Knight told the same story either. This backstory is also not the best (though I don't think he's mobular). Couldn't Cody just be a rascally paramedic? And why is Sam handing out jobs at the Q's? Girl, just because you avail yourself of Monica's 24/7 daycare center doesn't give you that right.

But I'm in for Britt and Cody...Brody? Bellbourne?

Somewhat relatedly, Brook didn't react to him, right? Shouldn't she also know him if he was around when Dante was growing up?

All the secrecy and Josh Kelly's character's name is Cody? Um, okay. ETA...Britt's stinkeye when she realized Cody and Dante know each other was very funny.

A random musing to speculate on until tomorrow - is it at all possible, given how cagey the show is being about who Josh Kelly is playing, that it's actually Cutter Wentworth from OLTL who just crashed into that pool? If we pick up where the ABC OLTL left him, he was on his way to scam money out of his bio mom Alex Olanov, who owned her own island. And didn't that happen back in the day, a con man character went from OLTL to GH, or vice versa?

Personally, I feel like Britt's meltdown is a culmination of a bunch of things, not just dead Jason D - the Huntington's, Spencer's recent spitting on their relationship, whatever the secret is she's keeping about her time on the run with Faison. I wish the show was making that clearer.

I will say, if they had to do this Nikolas/Esme thing, I'm glad they didn't do a straight redux of what happened with Sonny and Nelle and had Esme drug him or whatever. It's gross, but at least Nik was acting (grossly) on his own impulses.

Josh Kelly (Cutter Wentworth) was literally parachutted into "General Hospital" at the end of today's episode.

The staging of his entrance was so janky - poor Kelly Thiebaud having to flap around while they waved some fabric in front of the camera - but I did not hate that first charged look between Britt and whoever Josh Kelly (!) is.

Word and, as I've already said, I'm sad for Britt and Dr. O that they now have this spineless loser in their family tree.

Ha I just saw the SOD cover with the tagline "Carly's shocking decision!" ...how is it shocking when it's exactly what she did re: Nina and Nelle.

Some summer SOD spoilers I saw on Twitter: - Carly (hypocritically) decides not to say anything about Nina being Willow's birth mother, apparently for the greater good. But this will complicate her budding "friendship" with Drew. So I'm guessing she lies to him about what the DNA test says. Ugh, I'm so grossed out another of Monica's sons is having his life terroized by Carly. - Carly is also continuing to get involved in Drew and Michael's ELQ meger against Ned, and it also grosses me out that she's anywhere near Quartermaine business of any kind. - Britt has a mystery man (Josh Kelly) drop in on her in "quite a shocking way" and we're promised "romantic shenanigans" ahead for Britt and this guy. Kelly's character apparently has "multifacted" connections to Port Charles. - Terry's relationship with Chet is already dunzo (I saw something that maybe the actor is leaving the state or something?). So great love story for Terry. #eyeroll

My touchpoint for Patrick Fabian is playing Veronica's criminology professor during the third season of Veroncia Mars, and his character was involved with Jaime Ray Newman, a.k.a. Big Kristina from GH! By the skin of his teeth. Wasn't Ron's original intent to make him the victim in that stupid Franco/Nina murder mystery a few years ago and he was forced to pivot to Silas?

In retrospect, though, I'm glad I didn't get my wish to see Lucas name his son after the deceased Tony.
