  1. Ah okay I did some Googling and I think I got Jason confused with Suede Pruitt, who 1) is also basically just a name to me, 2) was also involved with Marty, as was Jason, and 3) was killed by Todd, but not in a boat explosion.
  2. I was thinking about that with regards to LGBTQ characters, given what happened this week with Y&R having a character come out off-screen, show up in one episode with his boyfriend, and then immediately go away. That's LGBTQ storytelling on soaps in *checks notes* 2023. And let's look at GH. Lucas (who?) wasn't exited, he's just invisible, even when Luke died he couldn't get on-screen. Kristina, basically the same story, she's a ghost. Brad, barely any screen time, nevermind with any kind of love interest, and that will likely only decrease with Britt gone. Felix's only appearance in two years was to prop up Carly. And then Terry, I guess, appears the most, but is that lame romance with Monica's bodyguard or whatever still a thing? It's really f-ing lame.
  3. Jason Webb I really only know as a name. He was another of Dorian's younger men, yes? And then Todd blew him up on a yacht or something?
  4. I was referring more to his habit of hopping to his ex's relatives, which I guess goes all the way back to Jessica and Nat lol. Did Cris and Vanessa actually date? I know they married thanks to Tea and that they slept together at least once, but were they ever an actual couple?
  5. The only interactions I really remember were during the Teen!Jess mess because Teen!Jess would lose her mind whenever they were in the same space. It's just so weird to me that they never went back there, given what a deal (rightly) Cris and Nat were in their heyday. So Cris goes to Vange and then Natalie's cousin and then Vange's sister. Oh Cris, you slut!
  6. And then that was the forever end of Nat and Cris, right? She couldn't forgive Cris for the deception, they divorced, and they never saw each other naked again.
  7. I wasn't really watching when he first came on, but I was kinda over Michael Easton already at that juncture in time because he/Caleb (and Livvie and Rafe and Alison) had eaten "Port Charles" alive. So where in the timeline is the whole thing with Cris coming back from the dead where we weren't sure if it was really him or a doppleganger?
  8. They did bring in John before Cris "died" - I believe they were helping him with an FBI assignment or something and that's what got Cris "killed"?
  9. And then Obrecht finds out Britt died saving Joss and throws Joss off a parapet.
  10. So it's my understanding that not only are people not mad at Carly, some basically conceded that she did the right thing? And she was rewarded with (whatever it's worth) Drew peen after he took her back after one day of being mad? I HATE THIS SHOW.
  11. Oh goodness, yes, the over John part is inexcusable. But it did result in Natalie threatening Marty with Asa's shotgun while pregnant, in a wedding dress, and wearing cowboy boots so there was some sugar mixed into all the salt. The fact that Melissa Archer played Natalie's grief over Jared so devestatingly well made it even more ridiculous when, bloop, the switch flipped and she was in wuv with John again.
  12. I think that's why I enjoyed Marty and Natalie's feud in late 2010/early 2011, even if I hated most of the basis for it (I actually thought it was all about John freakin' McBain, but then remembered Natalie found the evidence that proved Cole, not Marty, killed Eli and got him sent to prison).
  13. Lucy's been found, finally! Her "death" has been a bit of a fizzle, her longtime loves Kevin and Scotty not seeming to care was weak. Shut up, Joss.
  14. I wish I could be excited by Cam finding out about Joss and Dex becuase it would lead to some soapy denouncements next week, but if anything, this week proved that this show is incapable of fallout. Cam will probably end up apologizing for showing up unannounced while Joss sagely nods her head, ugh.
  15. I just saw on Twitter (and of course had to share with you all) someone arguing that Joss didn't cheat because she and Dex didn't HAVE SEX, they MAAADE LOOOVE. #vomitemoji
  16. 15 (!) years ago yesterday, Scott Evans made his first appearance as Oliver Fish:
  17. What the writers are doing with Obie is baffling to me, making it text that he abhores the messy, soapy drama we're watching this show for and that his friends are infinitely more compelling characters. And he's such a jerkwad on top of it, the way Obie treated Julien throughout was pretty terrible. It was funny - when Julien asked Zoya not to unload on her dad at the gala for Obie's sake - to be reminded that the show kicked off with Obie positioned as the prize in a sisterly love triangle. Smart they moved away from that, but versus leaning into his boringness, maybe just get rid? I am a bit curious to learn Grace's deal now that we've learned she is cheating on Obie, plus the tidbit from the BFF that she's not the boring basic she's presenting herself as. Moving on to positives, really liked the calibration with Julien and Monet this week, first with their sniping and undermining antics while trying to befriend Grace, then the nice moment when Monet (in a great character beat) decided she does have a line and it's helping a queerbaiter, and then them relishing in shoving said queerbaiter around. If the show wants them to truly be the new Blair and Serena, this was good work towards that goal. Zoya's snotty look at Nick when he accepted Mr. de Haan's offer, after she torpeoded the other one, was really something. I mean, Nick was lying to her, but girl, don't you like eating? Interesting that Shan now knows the secret about Nick taking Davis' money. I am more sad about what it's going to do to his relationship with Julien when it inevitably blows up versus with Zoya. Shan also had some really funny asides to Zoya on their phone calls. It says something about the world of this show that I was shocked Grace's mom offered Obie a soda versus a cocktail, though he sure was openly drinking wine at the gala. I love that recurring kid Harris, he had a great throwaway moment about being a Met Step 7 and couldn't be seen with a Met Step 5 lol. Kate's storyline with her dad, meh. I do think it's clear the new teacher is working in service of Georgina. Hurry up, G!
  18. I remain ever thankful that he wasn't named after Tony, as I first wanted when Lucas (who?) and Brad were angling to adopt. So should I watch Carly vs. Nina? Or is the show already giving Carly a pass?
  19. I saw something about this on Twitter, wasn't sure if it was just idle speculation, but has there been any indication that might try and put Brook and Cody together? Given I still think of Amanda Setton and Josh Kelly as scheming sibs Kimberly Andrews and Cutter Wentworth from OLTL, that would require an adjustment on my part lol. Don't forget, he also turned his back on her during his Michael Quartermaine era, but of course she immediately had everyone in town telling him to stop being so mean to her. Ugh.
  20. Is it worth it to watch Carly get scolded about the billlionth secret she's kept or is the show already prodding us to feel bad for her?
  21. Jackie Hoffman (who I always think of being from "Kissing Jessica Stein", but who also played the town crank on OLTL in 2009) is Principal McGee in Paramount+'s "Grease" prequel.
  22. Additionally, it was also obvious in mid-2010 that the original plan was for that Reed guy who followed Kelly from London to be the one who killed Melinda, but when that was a flatline...
  23. Remember how they out-of-nowhere looped in comatose Evangeline just to kill her off to give Cris and Layla a two-episode story? I do remember, at the time, Ron claimed it had been all planned, but then later (maybe after the ABC run had wrapped?) admitted they had story gaps because they had to write out Rachel/Kim/Schuyler/Kyle/Fish and thus Marty went down the hospital stairs with no set idea on who had done it.
  24. Am I understand that Sonny is mad and disgusted with Nikolas for sleeping with and impregnating his son's girlfriend? Sonny did the same damn thing, IN A CRYPT!
  25. Wow, so she's already letting herself off the (heh) hook. "I broke up with him in my mind so I was totally free to sleep with Dex!" Girl, no.
