  1. I'm kind of torn between Sheila and David Kimball. He was a pretty fun villain, but not quite as menacing as Sheila. It's a little depressing watching these videos. It just emphasizes how shitty the show is today.
  2. I'm in Pittsburgh...we don't have Wegmans here, but I do live near a Giant Eagle supermarket that began selling six-packs about 1 or 2 years ago. I think Giant Eagle is the only supermarket around here that can sell beer, but not all Giant Eagles sell beer. ?? I was a bartender about 15 years ago, when bars were the only place you could get six-packs. As I was putting one in a bag for a customer, he told me he didn't need the bag because he lived nearby. "Oh, no," I told him. "You have to have the bag." Yes, PA laws are pretty antiquated, to put it mildly!
  3. I like the actress, too, and the character had so much potential before she was saddled with Noah and given 1000 backstories. I remember when Marisa visited Victor in jail after he shot Jack, and she more than held her own in that scene with TGVN. Well, good for her for landing something else so quickly. I can think of a dozen or so others who can go, too, to help out the budget. CP and JFP would be at the top of the list.
  4. Ha! Ontario sounds like Amsterdam and Las Vegas rolled into one compared to Pennsylvania! PA was founded by Quakers, and I don't think they ever left! Only very recently has beer (and only beer) been available at SOME (very few) supermarkets. Progress!
  5. Ivy called Quinn shortly after she returned to Australia to ask about Wyatt, and she mentioned Liam's fall.Does anybody familiar with the area know if that really is Topanga Canyon? The trails may not have been very nice, but that view really was pretty spectacular.
  6. Oh, I wasn't talking about him specifically, but only that it isn't that strange of a career path in general for someone who lives in a state where marijuana is legal. I live in Pennsylvania, so I'm often amazed that the rest of the country can buy beer in grocery stores! And I agree that this would have been a great story for Y&R. This show has the most boring spoiled obnoxious rich kids ever!
  7. They live in California, where medical marijuana is already legal. And I believe that there's a chance it could become legal for recreational use if California voters approve it later this year, so it's not so strange.
  8. There have been so many nods to Stephanie lately that I was convinced they would pick a name to honor her. My first thought was Douglas, since, as you said, naming the baby after Brooke's dad would be a little odd. Maybe Daniel, after Caroline's mom? Those were my only guesses. But Spencer is great call, CountryGirl. That's where my money is!
  9. I wouldn't stress out too much about this. If you really want to do it, let them know the situation up front. It's been my experience as a volunteer that organizations are willing to be flexible. They kinda have to be, considering the whole not-paying-you thing. And once they see how fantastic you are, they won't want to lose you! So go ahead and commit to a schedule, saying that this schedule will probably change once you find your new job. Good luck!
  10. I guess this is an UO, but I thought Baby Carridge was super cute. There's something about innocent little eyes that gets me every time. I also thought that was one of the better birth scenes I've seen on a soap. I hate the histrionic ones where the mother is screaming and flailing and demanding drugs and it's played like comedy. I give a pass on the clothing since it's afternoon network tv where bare butts are verboten. I do agree that Ridge should have let Thomas visit with Eric and Steffy just to get that overwith. He and Caroline both need to develop a much better poker face.
  11. Oh my gods, there are lots of LOL moments in that interview, especially reading it months after they gave it. Nothing actually played out the way they said it would. Phyllis was supposed to be the one to discover Marco, with assists from Nikki and Ashley (both of whom found out two weeks ago!). When talking about Michael's cancer, JFP says you can't have a story about a serious illness and just drop it. !?! Has Nikki's MS heard about this rule? Oh, and JFP has never heard that fans overwhelmingly want Kevin to be gay (as does GR) because she doesn't go online. This asshole who runs the #1 show in daytime doesn't go online. In 2016. No wonder she comes across as tone deaf.
  12. Maybe "anvils" is a strong word? I think that Phyllis suddenly becoming Billy's biggest champion is hinting that something is on the way. It simply could be leading up to Jack and Victoria making assumptions based on all of (Phylly's?) clandestine meetings.
  13. I'm choosing to think positively here. So, I pity the fools who have her and Maggie because Carol is going to fuck their shit up. Right?
  14. This cracked me up, because it's what I now say to myself every time I meet somebody new. I'll actually say it out loud if I suspect the person I'm meeting has a sense of humor.
  15. It sure is! I'm writing an imaginary novel with the Preverts as main characters. Chapter 1 explores the torrid love affair between movinon and boes. The working title is 50 Shades of Grey Goose.Welcome MBmomof3, and Happy Weekend everybody!
  16. Nighttime TV is a joke? So...if Game of Thrones or The Good Wife or any prime time show offered him a role, he'd say, "Fuck that noise. Y&R is where it's at."? Doing film is a cinch? Yeah, I can see how his 15 seconds in Titanic may have been like a vacation for him (although it still probably took weeks to film that 15 seconds), but I'm guessing Leo and Kate wouldn't say that was a cinch. He really does live in a bubble, doesn't he? I'd wager that he can't do prime time or film because nobody else would put up with his shit.
  17. More and more new characters, and somehow they ALL end up in Dummer's orbit.
  18. Aww, no apologies necessary. Thanks for trying! I'm still blaming my progressive lenses, which are freaking me out. Every time I turn my head, it's like looking at a funhouse mirror!
  19. How nice to hear she thinks men are good for nothing more than picking up the tab at dinner. Oh, and DICK. Yep, that's about all we got.
  20. ^^^^Me three. I've noticed it for a while. I thought it was RS' personal style choice, but I guess it was Quinn's all along. I wonder if the child she lost was Bill's, that she actually went through with his demands? Maybe Wyatt isn't even her son? <<No spoilers...I don't know anything.>> As for Ridge, Rick, et.al. not getting their own places, I just let it slide. It's nothing new to soaps, since it's probably easier to make drama happen if everyone lives under the same roof. Dallas, Dynasty, Falcon Crest, and all the prime-time soaps back in the hey-day had all the wealthy adult children living on the family estate. I always thought it was nice to have multiple generations living together.
