  1. Doppelgänger Alert: Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf is on TCM now, and the young George Segal looks just like BuJ/Billy!
  2. Since many of you seem to have experience working in animal wefare, may I ask what you all think of microchips? Yesterday, one of our local shelters had an offsite event very close to where I live, and they were offering free microchips. I'd been interested in getting one for a while, so I took my cat in to get one. I know most shelters chip all of their animals, so I assumed it was perfectly safe. Now I'm hearing...not so much. Apparently, there is a risk of agressive tumors forming at the injection site. (I know, I know...only a brainiac like me does research AFTER the fact.) I've heard so many great stories of lost pets being reunited with their families months and even years later, thanks to microchips. But now I'm kicking myself thinking I did something that might hurt my little peanut. :>|
  3. Brad Bell said it would become a web series if CBS dropped it. But CBS loves to be able to flaunt taglines like "Most Watched Show In The World". That's why I can't believe they would even toy with the idea of dropping it.
  4. THAT guy?!? The guy talking to Billy Miller? THAT'S the new Billy? Wow...
  5. Isn't B&B the most watched show in the world? Why would CBS even consider droping it?
  6. I know what you mean about feeling wrong to "like" someone's misfortune. So I would to clarify for everyone, my "likes" are intended to mean "I relate to your situation and I empathize." We need a button for that!
  7. I can't tell you how angry this makes me. It was three months ago (100 days, to be exact) that I agonized over the decision to euthanize my 13-year-old cat. And every day since, I've wondered if I did the right thing. My head tells me I did, but my heart says, "what if...?". I can't understand how someone could be so cavalier about making that decision.
  8. Quinn doing the candied-yam choo-choo train to Wyatt made my day! I love when she embarasses him in front of everyone. I think I like this new tradition. It's sweet without being too sappy. It's about the only thing I can be thankful to Hope for!
  9. I asked myself the same thing! In my world, pie outranks just about everything. And the size of that slice he gave her confirmed my belief that Wyatt is an unapologetic hedonist. Gotta love that! Scenes like that are why I think B&B stands head and shoulders above the last remaining soaps, and why I can be patient with it and often give it a pass when it does something stupid. It's those intimate, human moments like the one you described that other soaps have abandoned in favor of plots and special effects better suited to a Liam Neesen movie, but B&B still does it well.Having said that, I was thinking about something stupid that B&B has done recently, and that was killing off Aly. Seeing where things are now, it occurred to me that Aly's death has had absolutely no repercussions for any other character, nor did it give any story any kind of momentum. Ivy, Liam, Steffy, et.al. could have gotten where they are right now in any number of ways that wouldn't have involved losing Aly. That was a real waste and a total misfire, B&B! Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
  10. Ha! I'm a freaking Cane fan, and everybody calls him a pasty vampire! Like who you like, hate who you hate. It's all good!
  11. Hey, that sounds just like The Crimson Lights Miracle of 2014! Does Dylan Macavoy own that Papa John's? I hope the worst is over and I'm glad to hear you're safe.
  12. Seriously, who would say no to coffee and croissants on the Stella Maris sailing around the Aegean? I get seasick on a waterbed, and I'd still go. Sounds like a much better proposal than whatever the fuck Liam had planned. I'm disappointed, but not surprised, that Rupert is the only publisher whose hand Bill would shake. Bring Purell if you plan on shaking that sleazebucket's hand, Bill...lots and lots of Purell.
  13. NOOOOoooo, Ivy!! Don't fall for it! Don't be Thomas' incestuous beard!
  14. Actually, I think where you are may be the anomaly. Everywhere I've ever visited, it's been on mid-day, either 11 am or 12:30.
  15. I'm in Pennsylvania, and Y&R has always been on at 12:30pm. So it's always been a show to record for me. Except when I was a kid in the dark ages before VCRs...then, I could only catch it in the summertime and school holidays. Years ago, I used to work at the PBS station, and Y&R would be on in the break room at lunchtime. Not their own PBS broadcasts, but Y&R! It's sad what they're doing to it. It's not even much fun to mock anymore.
  16. ^^What schedule change? Yep, all the warnings about Phelps and Pratt have proven to be justified.
  17. I think the TL Foghorn Leghorn referred to = Thad Luckysomethin...the guy who played JT. I had finally gotten used to BJ as Billy. Maybe they should just send the character back to Hong Kong for a while.
  18. Judging from the way Wyatt was talking about The Nameless One yesterday, I got the impression that he is way done with her and there was no chance he would go down that road again.
  19. I really don't care about Ridge's true paternity...IVY AND THOMAS ARE FAMILY. Do NOT go there, show! But, of course, they will. Yes, I'm pouting. I like Ivy and Wyatt together. At least we can look forward to Quinn fucking Thomas' shit up.
  20. I always thought Rosemary's Baby was pretty scary, and it's all implied scariness. You don't actually see anything. And who hasn't had pushy, nosy neighbors like that? LOVE Arsenic and Old Lace! Thanks for reminding me that it's saved on my DVR, peacheslatour. It was on TCM months ago, and I saved it to watch for Halloween.
  21. I love how they keep showing the the stark contrast between the two couples. Ivy was shoving twenties in Wyatt's waistband at the same time Liam was rubbing Steffi's sweaty feet!
