That sounds pretty funny. I remember liking that show as a kid but having very little memory about episode plots. Community did a flashback episode that was set up like a standard sitcom clip show. But all the clips were for things viewers had never seen before. I think I read somewhere that it was one of the most expensive episodes they did because of all the different scenes they had to set up. Compared to a standard clip show which is usually a money saver. As for actual reveal a mystery story in flashback kind of thing, it seems like after Lost it would be hard to do that well without looking like a copy (even though I doubt Lost invented that).

I'm So Disappointed In You: Celebrity Missteps

That's pretty interesting, because I always thought it was pitched as 3 Men and a Baby (which was a huge hit), in TV form. Even so I wonder if the producers told him that the show would focus mainly on the guys and not be an ensemble cast where the kids had just as much going on plot-wise. -
I watched it with my family on Friday and thought it was ok. Tiger Lily being the biggest badass in Neverland was my favourite part and probably the best possible way to handle that character. My only real complaint was it probably could have been like 15-20 minutes shorter, since it kind of dragged at a few points.

Even with the way it went off they totally glossed over that a nuclear bomb went off in Europe. Sure no one was killed but it still happened, it basically took out a mountain and destroyed a very expensive tunnel. And since it was a nuclear bomb I'm not sure you can just cover it up and say it was a surprise earthquake/avalanche. My favourite funny dumb thing about this episode was when the president calls the captain of the Roosevelt and the captain is basically like "hang on a second sir, let me put you on speaker phone". No idea if that would actually happen, but it just seems dumb.

Maybe I am remembering wrong but wasn't the original idea for Full House just a pretty blatant 3 Men and a Baby rip-off, where the kids are just plot devices rather than actual characters who get stories and you have to share screen time with? Maybe he is still pissed because that was the show he signed up for and then the kids got a bunch of screen time and ended up famous. -
Interesting, I have never had an ice cream cake with actual baked cake in it. Not from DQ or Baskin Robbins or even the local place we get them from. Which is why I was surprised when Scott but into the cake and thought it tasted so bad.

What was it? It was just my wife's birthday and I got her an ice cream cake from a local ice cream shop. It was awesome. But really it was just a giant cylinder of ice cream on top of a Graham cracker crust with some kind of whip cream or icing around the edges and some chocolate and carmel sauce on the top. It tasted great, but there really wasn't a lot you could screw up, since it is not like you are baking or measuring ingredients or anything.

Watched it tonight and thought it was somewhere between ok and good but not great. The whole quantum realm was all CGI with characters we have never really met before so it was hard to car about it. And knowing there are an infinite number of Kang's makes it hard to care if this one gets stopped. Plus there were a few things that didn't really make sense and bugged me. Like at any point if Scott wanted to leave the QR couldn't he just turn on his rebigulator and go back to normal size like he did in the first movie when he went quantum. Sure that option isn't there for Hank and Janet, but he could go back to his lab and get stuff to help them. Also if Janet knew that there was bad things like Kang in the QR why was she ok with Scott going there in the post credits scene of the 2nd movie (right before she got dusted). On the plus side Michelle Pfeiffer still looks amazing. Lastly how do you screw up an ice cream cake? It's just a big block of ice cream with some icing and other decorations around it.

Not sure about Johannesburg, but I would imagine that tourism is a way bigger and more important part of the economy of NYC compared to Sokovia. So if people stop going there because of the Hulk attacks and alien invasions, Broadway is going to take a hit.

Watched the finale last night and after sleeping on it I quite liked it. It seemed fitting that after Walt dying and Jesse escaping someone involved actually went to jail. And I am wondering if Saul's confession was enough for Howard's widow to give some sympathy to Kim and not sue her. As for the very end, I am not sure what it means for the future of Jimmy and Kim's relationship but at least it is in a way better place than it was when they were signing the divorce papers and he was being a total ass. Plus the shot of them leaning against the wall smoking with the b&w and the shadows looked amazing and Kim's new style looked great too. A few other small things I was thinking about. It's crazy how easy Cranston can like flip a switch and just be Walt again even after all these years. As for Aaron Paul, sure he looked older, but he was a meth user when he met Walt so that kind of works. And we pretty much know what happened to everybody, but I wonder what happened to Los Pollos Hermanus? Did it shut down or did someone take it over?

I really thought that after Jeffy fell he was going to have some kind of brain hemorrhage and be found dead in the morning either in the crate or the washroom. Also it is crazy to think how long that con must have taken to set up. Just figuring out Carol Burnett's daily schedule and when/where you might be able to meet up with her and get her stuck must have taken weeks. And damnit Jerry, you had one job that was to literally sit and watch TV and you couldn't even do that right.

Looks interesting, just hoping they limit the brain downloaded into a computer episodes, since they have used that one way too many times.

S03.E08: Chapter Twenty Four - The Return

Isn't all fuel in Star Wars basically magic? I don't recall Han ever saying they need they needed to stop somewhere to fuel up the Falcon. -
There was an article I read awhile back with some quotes from Ashton Kutcher. He basically said that Masterson is his friend and he hope he didn't actually commit those crimes. But if he did he hopes that justice is served or something like that. Which I thought was a pretty reasonable response for something he probably gets asked about a lot.

At the beginning when they revealed that the scene at the beach was Howard's car/fake suicide, my first thought was Hank criticizing Marie getting sushi since they were a 2 day's drive to the nearest ocean.

I am confused, does Keanu Reeves have some secret drug problem or other issue that should have killed him? Because otherwise where is the comparison? If you said you can't believe Keith Richards was still alive and not River Phoenix that might make sense, but Keanu I don't get.- 1.4k replies

I have finally been watching this season since it is now on Netflix. This was a great episode, but one thing I didn't get was how Jimmy switched the photos. They were in Howard's office and he has a personal assistant right outside. So how did anyone get in to switch them in the short amount of time? And who was it?

S03.E08: Chapter Twenty Four - The Return
Kel Varnsen replied to formerlyfreedom's topic in The Mandalorian
You're right there have been those cases, but for the most part, especially in the main movies the idea has been that if you have the force and want to use it you either have to follow the way of the Jedi or temptation will take over and you will be sucked into the dark side. Which is kind of annoying. I hope they do more exploration about how a different belief system can also keep you from going full evil, but also lets you have loved ones. -

I was finally able to watch this one with my daughter today and mostly enjoyed it. I would have liked it if Grogu had done a bit more fighting to defend himself and his dad, and to go on a bit more of an offensive. Just to show how much he learned from Luke. Plus we have been always told that the only options for force people are either doing good by being a monk like loner Jedi or going evil and being a Sith. It would be interesting to see if someone could use the force and follow the Mandalorian code and not turn to the dark side. Since that seems just as strong as the Jedi code but at least lets you have family and friends. One thing that always makes me laugh is the crappy Empire IT security. Like I work from home and to log my computer into the work system I need a work authorized computer and two different passwords. Meanwhile for the empire any droid even one that that is at least 10 years old using connection technology that is decades older can connect to your system and access anything. Also I am glad the dark saber is broken as I find that thing dumb. -
Or taking calls from mysterious numbers. I did like this episode though, although I wondered why the cop that offered to help the abuser guy didn't notice the dead body when he was leaving did he back down the road to leave the way he came?

There were a few little things I really liked. The reminder of how Jamie being much younger (and still on the team) is way more physically fit than Roy. Him tiring Roy out (when Roy was the one pushing for more training) was funny. I also thought it was interesting that one of Colin's big worries is that even if his team mates accept him, he doesn't want to be the spokesperson for gay football players, he just wants to live his life. I am glad though there was never any suggestion that Trent might out him in his book. They have always portrayed Trent as a real, legit journalist. Not some trashy tabloid reporter who would out someone for a story or to sell books That's a great story, the only correction is that it wasn't the queen who gave birth in Ottawa it was the crown princess. The citizenship thing is interesting since the baby would have been heir to the Dutch thrown and if the baby was a Canadian citizen there would be that whole loyalty to the British throne thing.

Don't forget Doug's thing with Marg Helgenberger who was either his dad's girlfriend or his ex. Either way super gross. Looking back though and thinking of my own experiences with family and in hospitals, would being a ER doc really be that much better if Carter wanted to spent time with patients? I know they were kind of stuck because the show was called ER but I am not sure those doctors are really know for spending time and getting to know patients. I think the last few times we have had to take a kid to the ER it's usually 5 minutes or less with an actual doctor. If he wanted to spend time and know patients why not become a GP or some other specialty where you do long term treatment?

I don't really know how substitutions work in soccer but that might have made a better story. Ted benches Zava at half time after he has scored a couple of goals (but the team is still losing) then he walks off the field and they find out he has decided to retire. It would be helpful to know for sure how much of the company Jack owns. It has been awhile since I have watched any Dragon's Den or Shark Tank episodes, but there is no KJPR without KJ so she must own some of the company. Plus she does all the work so is it a 50/50 thing or does Jack own more? See I think that Sam/Rebecca is worse. Just because if she is putting her team 1st she would regularly have to consider trading him, or perhaps trading someone else instead of him. So she has a lot of power over him and there is a big potential conflict. With Keeley like I said there is no KJPR without her and without knowing how much of the firm she owns it is hard to see it as bad.

S03.E07: Chapter Twenty Three - The Spies
Kel Varnsen replied to formerlyfreedom's topic in The Mandalorian
Even by Star Wars standards that name is stupid. Even the Armourer saying that name couldn't make it sound cool. -
I was really surprised that with all the talk in this episode about the different lineup options, no one ever considered benching Zava. I mean it's great that he scores a couple of goals a game but if the whole team is relying on him and not doing anything then who cares. And it would have been such a Ted move to bench the star, to force everyone else to step up. I hope we don't see that as well. I mentioned last episode how the scene with Ted telling his ex-wife how he felt was interesting. He basically said I am upset you are dating our therapist, but we have a son together and have to find a way to have a relationship where we can be around each other. But there is no reason that Ted and Nate need to have any kind of relationship going forward. So if Nate does have some kind of realization and apologizes I hope Ted just says thank you, shakes his hand and walks away.
