I'm looking forward to watching the premiere of The Coroner on July 18th. From the promos, it looks promising. I really miss Dr. G: Medical Examiner. I loved that show!

Am I really the only one on this forum who likes Cry Wolfe? I was happy to see it's coming back. Yes, he's obnoxious and yes, it's totally scripted, but so what? His cases are real even if a little (?) over-embellished. And ya gotta admit it's a few steps up from Cheaters. haha! Okay - let the mud-slinging begin....

I LOL every time this commercial comes on...

OMG YES! I had to google his pic but now recall the 20/20 or whatever program it was on. Horrific story - I'd forgotten he was 12 when he killed his grandparents. And he was/IS (he's 67 now) a giant - like 6'7" or so. Can't believe he's still alive - you'd think he'd have been killed in prison by this time. Here in Michigan we had an 11-y.o. kid - Nathaniel Abraham - who got a rifle & just for the fun of it shot a man coming out of a convenience store, killing him (victim 18 y.o.). He was tried & convicted as a juvenile, I believe. Anyhow, not sure he's in prison today, but he's got an arrest record for drugs & shit a mile long. Hasn't killed anyone else, but ya never know. He's about 25 y.o. now. Real dirt bag.

I'm sure it was purely coincidental, but yesterday morning ID had a re-run of Deadly Twins or whatever it's called that featured "Jas" and "Tas". You know the one. Two more POS's (what's the plural of POS? hahaha) And, Brattinella, absolutely agree that the daughter should've gotten more time than her asshole boyfriend. They'd both be given life if it were up to me. I think courts across the land should be giving way more thought to the "age"/minors bullshit when handing out sentences...in cases like these two, for instance. Weren't they all 17? WTF! Not old enough to know better? But old enough to concoct elaborate schemes to get what they want.

Watched Passport to Murder: Nightmare in Bali last night and was happy that ID actually found a recent murder I hadn't heard of before. I especially liked the narrator, Tish Iceton, but her soothing voice did put me to sleep halfway through for a few minutes. Once again I was amazed at the short sentences given to the perps. Very scary these scumbags will be walking the earth in the not-too-distant future. I'll definitely watch this show again.

Speaking of great narrators we love, yesterday my daughter called to tell me she not only MET, but had a 15-min. conversation with BILL KURTIS!!! He came into the restaurant where she waits tables part-time ("The Eagle Tavern" in Greenfield Village-The Henry Ford - Dearborn, Michigan. She said he's a REALLY nice man (we figured that) and will most probably be back so she can get a pic with him!

Great article, Rina - thanks for posting! If one of those conventions was in my area, I'd go! I just found another article from this past April re: the convention. http://www.usatoday.com/story/life/tv/2016/04/05/investigation-discovery-host-fan-centric-idcon/82656494/

Anyone need a good cry? (C'mon! Sometimes it's good for the soul!) Pick up a copy of Me Before You by JoJo Moyes. Bought Kindle edition last night @ 9:00 pm & finished it today @ noon. Loved every minute of this book, but gawd! I'll be happy to get back to my usual murder & mayhem novels! Ha! (I'm an I.D. fanatic ).

I've watched this show from the beginning and really do like Jazz and her family. However, I'm getting a little irritated with the constant promos for next week's episode with all the angst about the $20,000.00 for the testosterone implant that's not covered by insurance. I've no idea how much Jazz's family gets per episode, but I'm guessing it's plenty. I know this is TLC's fault for once again scripting this "reality" series to keep us on the edge of our seats, but enough already!

Last night I watched an episode from 2013 and as usual, Nicole came out in the beginning to give her pep-talk to all the consultants. She looked absolutely darling - her hair was in a bob/blunt cut. I've no idea why she's now shaving her head and seems to be sporting a mohawk-type "do," but it's not a good look. If she was in her 20s I'd understand it, but I'm guessing she's about 40. (Apologies to any of you who like her hair.)

The other night I watched an episode of "Cause of Death" (old Forensic Files with new title), called "Punch Line." The description is "The treatment for an injured hand leads to a murder charge when an ER doctor realizes that a man's claim he cut it on a dumpster is false." I know I'd never seen this before because I certainly would've remembered it. Anyhow, I was shocked & had to look away when they showed an actual up close color photo of the asshole's hand splayed wide open during surgery. YUK!! After watching I went on IMDB website for Forensic Files and found some pretty interesting discussions I thought some of you might enjoy. I found myself nodding my head...oh yeah, I remember that one! http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0247882/board/?ref_=tt_bd_sm

Badhaggis - No, I didn't know Stacy Castor died, but this is good news for the taxpayers! 48 y.o. - COD unknown for weeks until tests completed (not that I care, mind you). It was the ole' "death by turkey baster" case where she tried to frame her daughter. Here's the article, to refresh our memory: http://www.cbsnews.com/news/woman-who-poisoned-husband-with-antifreeze-dies-in-prison/ Ya gotta read the first couple "comments" to the article - pretty damn funny! (The 2nd one commented, "There - I fixed it for ya'" hahaha!)

Last week I put on Forensic Files so I could finally fall asleep listening to the wonderful dulcet tones of Peter Thomas, and woke up a couple hours later hearing a voice I'd never heard before (still Forensic Files), but I was SURE it wasn't Peter Thomas. Of course, I couldn't get back to sleep until saw the ending credits to find out the narrator. I was right! His name is Peter Dean. I'd never heard of him before (even tho I've said dozens of times I've seen every single Forensic Files episode ever made). I lied. There are at least TWO episodes I haven't seen (except now I've seen the one that woke me up out of a dead sleep! haha!). Check it out: From Wikipedia: "Not every episode of Forensic Files has been narrated by Peter Thomas, a well-known voice-over talent. The episodes "Payback" and "The Buddhist Monk Murders" were narrated by Peter Dean." RIP, Mr. Thomas. I sure will miss you!

Auntjess - I just heard this on the local news this morning. Too funny! I like the comments below the article. My fave is "Sqauuwwwk! Polly want a subpoena!"

Getting back to the Scorned Love Kills episode -- I can't believe nobody pointed out the obvious! This show was so perfect for Scorned cuz, as we all so well know, this super-sleazy program is all about tits & ass! (Sorry...couldn't resist!) Seriously, what other I.D. program could it possibly be featured on?
-
LOL!!!! GREAT idea, Psychoklown! You should call that company that George Foreman advertises for about 30 times a day --- InventHelp? hahaha! But first you have to think of a name for your invention. C'mon....I know you can do it. Anybody? (I'm not that creative.)
-
Did anyone have the misfortune to watch Scorned: Love Kills ("A playbook for murder") last night? (I was really bored.) Anyhow, yet another I.D. show that at least provided comic relief when I googled it after the show. If you haven't seen it yet ... well, don't waste your time ... and I apologize if I didn't do the spoiler feature correct & gave away the ending. Ya just can't make this stuff up. P.S. Yesterday I finally got to see the last 10 minutes of the Miss Pee Pants episode of American Monster. EWWWWW!!!! Hope the cops had a towel to put on the seat of patrol car!

AKraven - sure do love your comments! Anyhow, about the asshole defense attorney -- is that his wife?!? I did see he wears a wedding band. Who the fuck would marry that cocky-cock-face?!? (Sorry to steal your description, but it's just so perfect!)

Pet Peeves: Aka Things That Make You Go "Gah!"

How 'bout KISSING? On the LIPS! OMG, NO! Just NO! I don't care if you're a relative -- unless you're a spouse, just NO! For the past year I've been helping out with my 92 y.o. EX-mother-in-law (she's wonderful & I love her to pieces). Anyhow, that whole family is into kissing ON THE LIPS when they leave her. No way! -

Qoass - I can absolutely appreciate what you're talking about. I think I've seen about a half dozen photos of myself that I'm actually pleased with...in my entire lifetime! I take HORRIBLE pictures the second I see that camera pointed in my direction. I hate it!!! Someone once said to my (gorgeous) Granddaughter a few years ago when she objected to having her pic taken, "Ya know, I'm going to take it anyhow, so you may as well smile and look the best you can!" Qoass -- much as it disturbed me, I think he was right. If someone's intent on taking your pic it's gonna happen, so you may as well smile. P.S. I hate huggers, too. -

My pet peeve for the past 4 months? I will turn 65 y.o. next month. Don't get me wrong - I'm in great health & if you'd asked me when I was 21 I'd have said I'd be lucky to make it to 30. (haha!) Anyhow, beginning in January this year, I began getting "robo-calls" NO LESS THAN 3 times per day from insurance companies from all over the country. I am not bullshitting you. AND they're not only automated calls, but human beings (who speak very "broken English" BTW)! Oh.My.God. I just now hung up the phone from my SIXTH call today during which I BEGGED the caller to PLEASE remove me from their call list (as I do every single call). It does no good. The most I've received is NINE calls in one day. It is absolutely maddening! I'm going to need a TON of medical insurance by the time my birthday gets here --- for fucking PSYCHIATRISTS to help me recover from the trauma of all these phone calls! (Don't tell me to just not answer .... I tried that early on and they continue calling until I answer.) Ask me how excited I am to be turning 65 & finally eligible for Medicare! I DARE YOU!!!!!! -
Editorgrrl - Comcast had the same description. Was very confusing because I Googled "Jenene Jones" & read about a nurse who killed babies/children. Altho I didn't see the whole program, I knew this had nothing to do with the episode I watched. With a last name like "Jones," I figured there may be another spelling of the first name and finally found it - Janeene Jones. What a difference 2 letters can make, ya think? Baby killer: Genene Jones; Husband killer: Janeene Jones. Confused? So am I! (And glad my name isn't Jones or Smith!) [No offense to those of you who share those surnames!]
