Speaking of "hometown" murderers, tonight's episode of Evil Lives Here ("In Love With the Devil") takes place here in Michigan (several hours due west of me). Turned it off after only NINE MINUTES in when the woman states that while dating her boyfriend, he tells her (in confidence, of course) that he murdered someone. She just couldn't believe that -- he's such a loving guy! Then she marries him! DELETE. Ya just can't fix stupid. (Am I a bitch or have I just become totally intolerant in my old age?)

Last night I wasted 3 hours of my life watching the much-hyped 3-part Serial Thriller. I fast-forwarded through most of it, so I actually only lost about 40 minutes. What did you guys think?

Love this one for Skippy P.B. Bites!

Love the latest Geico commercial - Tarzan, with Jane asking for directions. Every time I see it I laugh when the monkey keeps shaking his head "no"! Too funny. Not to mention how true it is -- have yet to know a man who will actually stop to ask for directions.

Ditto, walnutqueen -- I, too, will miss his narration ... and a nod to poster, Josette, who likened his style to Paul Winfield, whose narration I also loved. Very sad. Interesting to see what holds (as narrator) for this show's next season. How 'bout Bill Kurtis?!? Wouldn't he be great? My guess is that he's been in demand for so many years, ID would have to pay too huge bucks to get him. Of course, I could be pleasantly surprised, but I doubt it. GAWD I loved him on American Justice ... the program that got me absolutely HOOKED on "true crime."

I've got I.D. on now for background noise while I'm cleaning & not paying attention until I glance at the TV & see a shot of people holding up signs that say, "Tell the truth, Casey." It's Aphrodite Jones reviewing the Casey Anthony debacle (I couldn't watch when it originally aired a couple years ago). Just yesterday I read an article about her (Casey Anthony's) recent start-up of a photography business. She's living in a $500,000.00 home in West Palm Beach, FL w/some guy who worked on her defense team. I sat down to watch it for about 10 minutes but couldn't stop shaking my head -- still in disbelief -- about the outcome of that trial. Had to turn it off.

Say Yes To The Dress - General Discussion
Maizie131 replied to Rhondinella's topic in Say Yes To The Dress
Looks like it's official - the new season starts March 4th. http://tvseriesfinale.com/tv-show/say-yes-to-the-dress-tlc-teases-season-14-heroes/ -
Chilling, indeedy! What also scared the hell outta me was the cop who was interrogating him sat inches from this guy - no handcuffs nor shackled in any way that I could see. Now that took balls. I don't know how cops do it.

LOL! Thanks, Walnutqueen & Brattinella! I was pretty sure it wasn't just me! haha!

Last night's Murder Comes To Town "Mom Makes Four" was very disappointing. I usually like this show, but this particular story dragged on FAR longer than need be. I'll watch next episode, but it's gotta get better to keep my interest. What did you guys think?

Whoa! Vanity Fair Confidential was pretty good last night (re: Air Force Cadets). Don't know where I've been (I actually DO read the news -- in fact, every day for many years now!), but I was pretty shocked by the episode. Seems to imply the "problem" will never be fixed. Did anyone watch this? Holy Shit! Altho, it really shouldn't surprise me.

applecrisp - I did see this one, and to be honest, I was quite surprised when it turned out to be his wife...she seemed so normal (as some cold-blooded murderers do, as we know). Wow, what a dumb psycho! That was a good one.

Hmmm - I have this show DVR'd weekly (it's one of my favorites), but I don't recall ever seeing this one. Do you have the title of the episode or any more info so I can search for it? Thanks!

What does HOTRS stand for? (Sorry - new to this forum.)

momofsquid - Couldn't believe when I read this...today was the death of my beloved pink Motorola flip-phone -- the battery will no longer hold a charge. Over the past half-dozen years when I pull it out of my purse to make/answer a call people laugh at me! Did I care? Not even a little bit! I'm devastated...now I've gotta learn one of those new iphone thingies. Not a good thing! I'm 64 y.o. & I don't adjust to change very easily. Oh well...maybe I'll learn how to "text." (Mods ... delete if you want (sorry, but couldn't resist...I really AM sad about my flip-phone! ha!) poeticlicensed - you must've been typing at the same time as I was! Too frickin' funny! (See my comment above.)

Thanks, Walnutqueen! I actually DVR'd it when I saw the commercial on ID, so on your recommendation I'll make sure to watch it.

Another one of my favorite shows on ID is Web of Lies. Just watched a rerun from last year, "Only Way Out," about the 2 teenagers who lived a couple thousand miles apart that got into an online chat that turned into a "love" relationship. She comes from wealth and he lives on "the other side of the tracks." She tells him her father has abused her & convinces him to kill her parents. The ending was, in my opinion, unjust. I think the sentences for the crime should've been reversed. She gets probation?!? Really? Not that he shouldn't have had to pay a price, but shit! Little bitch! Anyhow, I've enjoyed every one of these shows. (I feel bad using the word "enjoyed" in context w/these murder shows, but you guys know what I mean.)

Josette - yeah, last night's Your Worst Nightmare was very scary, and I think I remember the story being featured years ago on 20/20 or one of those shows. 7 frickin weeks they were kidnapped?! Can you imagine?!? The mother was a real hero to keep it together like she did for her daughter. Did any of you by chance see the I.D. commercial with the lady looking out her window at her neighbor digging in the yard, and tells her husband she thinks he killed his wife. Her husband says, "He's planting azaleas!" Anyhow, it was pretty damn funny. The tagline of the commercial was "It's how we think." Yes, indeedy -- it's how I think, for sure. Ha! (I tried to find the commercial to post it here, but no luck.)

I hope to God you're right, but we know it's only a storyline for TLC. Chances of it actually happening would, indeed, be a travesty.
-
roamyn - I just watched Paula Zahn featuring your cousin's murder case. I'm very sorry for your loss.

I saw the dry-humping episode, but what about Michelle's waterskiing knees? Didn't see that one.

The Comcast description of tonight's episode of "Counting On" - "New, S1/Ep03 (2015), (TV-14,D), Jessa and Ben have dinner with friends who have been through the adoption process. (Reality, 60 min.), (D=Intensely Suggestive Dialogue)." Whoa -- Intensely suggestive dialogue?! WTF!

Wasn't quite sure which thread to put this one in, but it's largely about a continuing Duggar show of any sort on TLC. (Gotta love the comments.) BTW, they've got a camera crew down there is CA, don't they? http://www.hollywoodtake.com/jill-duggar-returning-soon-19-kids-money-problems-continue-derick-dillards-wife-stays-away-118831

Why oh why did I turn on ID channel while wrapping Christmas presents? WTF was I thinking?! Reruns of (in my opinion) one of the scariest shows on that channel, My Worst Nighmare, were on. Holy shit - I know much of the show leading up to actual murder(s) is supposition/acting, but boy it sure gets my heart pounding. The murders as depicted are true, and in some cases even worse (after reading on the internet). Absolutely horrific! There's a new ep. @ 10:00 tonight & I'm just about done wrapping, so what the hell -- what's another little temporary spike in my blood pressure? P.S. Promise tomorrow I'll turn off the frickin' TV & listen to NOTHING but beautiful Christmas music all day long while I'm cleaning getting ready for company! P.P.S. Merry Christmas, my wonderful fellow PTV-ers! Over the past year since I found this website, there have been so many times you made me laugh my ass off until I cried. Thank you all so much! I wish the VERY best in the coming year to each & every one of you! (And that's no bullshit!) Sincerely, Maizie's Mom

BitterApple - In the beginning of latest ep., Jessa was primping in the bathroom mirror & Ben was making breakfast & asked her if she wanted any & she says yes. She comes out of the bathroom, hair down to her waist perfectly spiraled or whatever the fuck they do to it, and proceeds to pull the chair out to sit down at the kitchen table. OMG - all I could think of was her hair dragging in the plate of food in front of her. YUCK!!! How do they EAT with all that HAIR?!? I've bitched about this many times before -- they ALL need at least a foot of hair cut off. Is it against their religion?
