  1. I thought the same thing and then I realized it did have some very intriguing and dark philosophy in it anyway (which I find comforting in a weird way - really finding all these seemingly 'happy endings' in BM unsettling) - I've ended up cheering for a man dying for his thoughts. I mean, Daly, at the end of the day, was just guilty of killing people in a video game. They happened to be sentient, but they were still digital constructs, so essentially he thought bad things but he didn't do them. So are we, through successive episodes of BM going to a place where you don't have to act on bad thoughts to be worthy of punishment / execution. A real human being was killed by a computer and we are okay with that. The other piece of course, from a meta perspective, how much the filmmaker was playing with how I naturally watch TV. The people in Daly's office didn't treat him badly at all - except Walton just asking him to be more assertive with people - which is a thing that my boss tells me to be at time and I tell my friends to do all the time - yet, my instinctive feeling about the people in the real world was that they weren't nice. I think they'll keep coming back to this digital construct / Ai piece multiple times because it is quite a deep well. Whether you treat the world inside the world like "The Matrix" where nothing is 'real' and you keep trying to wake up from it, or whether you take it like a version of Hindu philosophy where everything is an illusion and your reality is nothing but a lesser dimensioned shadow of a higher dimension self, there are many different lenses to the story, so I'm going to tell myself to be more open to having multiple takes on the same subject. My worry is about her fingerprints, really. Her fingerprints would be in places they shouldn't be, so if the police were to find the circumstances suspicious she might be charged with felony murder. It's ambiguous. They put a high level story / concept in, but the endings are never cut and dried. It wouldn't like it in other shows, but it's what makes BM, BM for me. I like it here.
  2. I'm just watching for the pretty. So I hope they get renewed because they are delivering that in spades.
  3. The only part I liked was Jane getting a taste of her own medicine in getting blamed for something that was not her fault. So stupid>
  4. Aand I just lost all interest in this show. Not interested in watching a villainous Roman.
  5. It could be that Lex is a very talented guy given that Travis and Kinjaz see something special in him. I know there's something to be said for routing for the underdog. but being thought special by the judges shouldn't automatically mean they should be voted off. I would expect Travis and Kinjaz to have a pretty good eye for talent myself.
  6. My favorite will always be Danny/Anya to Girlfriend. And I loved Danny's AT with Sara as well, though I know it was a little controversial content wise. And Janette and Brandon had an awesome AT as well.
  7. I wanted Mark to find about Gracie and then die. All he had to do was call the sisters and ask about the cure but he chose to side with Coady. So I have no sympathy for him, nor for Gracie. Well not too much. And I have and will always hate the Castor storyline. It was stupid, they were stupid and the only lasting impact they had was stealing Paul from my screen. So I was glad for an ignominious end.
  8. I know, right? I've been loving how sharp he is. And so precise with his arms and his hands. It's pretty cool. I'll have to drag out Pasha to see how they match up.
  9. Sorta. Apparently the took guy with the L20 or whatever gene and spliced it into the Leda DNA. It didn't show up in Leda, but did show up the next generation i.e .Kira. Now the part about being able to feel all the sisters? No explanation given.
  10. Seems to me that some people are conflating being weak with not being a feminist. Not knowing what happened, I choose not to judge now, I do mourn that this is truly a death knell for any new BuffyTV.
  11. I actually think partnering is crucial to be called a 'technical dancer'. (Not that i've seen Lex lacking it). I use Jakob and Danny as my measuring sticks and they had partnering skills in spades. (They also had performance quality IMO but that's a discussion for another day).
  12. I was amused that Paul was having to be a lot nicer and kinder in his judging as Prue is nowhere near as warm or sweet as Mary. So the comments ended being more negative than they would be. Especially in the signature. Sorry about the man who went home but good otherwise. Flo's my favorite for now.
  13. I think he was ok because it was supposed to be gross.
  14. I think the chilling thing was supposed to be that NY was simply collateral damage but IMO that made the stakes too big to show effectively.
  15. I guess that's the difference between you and me because I'd watch them all again (and have). Except Hulk. Whereas other lauded ones re usually too sad and depressing for a rewatch.
  16. Respectfully disagree. In White Bear the point was that it was punishment. If they did it again, that makes me think a lot less of the writers.
  17. I liked the piece but also kept wondering how a nice Kathak piece would look with it. Examples of Kathak below: Could be. A couple of borderline remarks to Mary for sure I felt. Not the warm Cat of previous years. And not sure the show can afford a good Bollywood choreographer who is currently working well in the movies. Also by the movie do you mean Slumdog Millionaire? Because the choreograph on that was just. No. See how much more dynamic Chaiyya Chaiyya manages to be even which much tighter confines in terms of space and movement. I keep hoping every year they'll have him on. I felt like that way for both Mark and Koine and I think it was the music in both cases. It didn't build, stayed at the same level which made it feel a little never-ending..
  18. I hate the Spike arc because it makes Buffy the monster and serial killer who kills babies before they can grow up to fall in love and get a soul of their own.
