  1. Interesting article on how and why Adele won over Beyonce. http://www.vox.com/2017/2/13/14595352/adele-beat-beyonce-grammys-why
  2. May I just say that I love that there are other Littles here!
  3. Without getting too spoilery, the LCK survivor was told they had two more challenges to win in order to get back into the competition.
  4. When I was very young (around 6 y/o) my parents took me to the 1964-65 World's Fair in NYC where the Pieta was on display at the Vatican Pavilion. I still remember it to this day. It was impressive even in the eyes of a child.
  5. Tonight's episode is a repeat of "The Trip?" Is the show on another hiatus? I must have missed something.
  6. I thought it was great that even after the quick (and funny) hand raise, Maze ultimately couldn't kill Lucifer but then had absolutely NO qualms about putting those paddles on Mom!
  7. Well what do ya know? They actually spent the entire hour talking about the fashions! Maybe someone at FP is listening to us. And what's more, both Margaret and Nene were bearable tonight. I've also never minded when they bring in a guest for one segment, as long as they continue to discuss fashion and not play some stupid game. I wasn't going to watch, based on the post Golden Globes disaster but tonight's show wasn't bad.
  8. Oh my goodness, yes! I thought I was the only one who was feeling this way. Two to three seasons in has been the point where I've thrown in the Shondaland towel and I've already been starting to feel this way about This is Us also. I guess that's just the point where I tire of being manipulated. I'm still in but I can feel the tide turning.
  9. I think you hit the nail on the head here. You just know the writers are going to Rashomon the hell out of Jack's death. I'm sorry to say this because I am presently enjoying This is Us but the way it's all playing out is starting to bug me. I'm betting I'll be in for about two seasons at which point I'll be thinking, "Yeah, this just jumped the shark and I'm out."
  10. When they were listing the nominees, I was thinking that Brown and Vance facing off against each other for People vs. OJ, and Ahmed and Turturro facing off against each other for The Night Of might just cancel each other out allowing Cranston to win. While we'll never know for sure, not seeing the vote tallies, it looks as if that's what happened. Cranston did give a great performance in All the Way. http://sagawards.org/awards/nominees-and-recipients/23rd-annual-screen-actors-guild-awards Stunt Ensemble in a Comedy or Drama Series: Game of Thrones Stunt Ensemble in a Motion Picture: Hacksaw Ridge
  11. Variety's site keeps updating the winners list: http://variety.com/2017/film/news/sag-awards-winners-list-screen-actors-guild-2017-1201972668/
  12. Yup, another great look. The men are killing it tonight!
  13. I think the men's looks tonight are better than the women's. I really like Rami Malek's suit.
  14. I just saw Claire Foy and Matt Smith from The Crown on the carpet. I'm rooting for both the show and actress to win tonight but that dress is the worst thing I've seen so far on the carpet tonight.
  15. I agree with you about the ladies so far but Sterling K. Brown sure looked good in his tux!
  16. Young Randall (after having just been called into his parents' bedroom): "Are we getting checked for lice again?"
  17. Only because this was visual, and I often will have my attention diverted from the screen and depend on audio clues, I wanted to be sure you saw the scene in which Sophie did text Kevin shortly after he left her place to say, "Where?" So she is interested in meeting with him to at least have a conversation. Of course, that doesn't necessarily mean that she's looking to start something up again. With these writers? Nope, that's the perfect recipe for a This is Us "twist." (I rolled my eyes as I typed that!) I laughed out loud at that one! You're so right.
  18. Going back to the geographic settings for the show: I really don't understand why the writers are making it confusing. Look, I understand that they like to play with dates and ages and that using flashbacks (and an occasional flash forward) is their thing but why can't the audience know definitively that Randall and Beth live in New Jersey? What is the purpose of confusion on where the story takes place? Makes no sense to me and truthfully, it pisses me off.
  19. I also remember the S1 chefs heading back to the Top Chef house and jokingly re-creating the challenge among themselves with various junk foods, which was quite funny.
  20. All four advisors are pictured on The Voice's FB page. Blake's is Luke Bryan and Alicia's is DJ Khaled.
  21. Lucifer's relationship with Chloe is only part of his redemption. Dr. Linda is a big part of it. Father Frank was part of it. Lucifer's work with the LAPD is part of it. Several of the cases of the week have been part of it. It's nowhere near as simple as just finding the "love of a good woman." JMHO, of course.
  22. I missed Gail this week. How do you live a block from the beach for a couple of weeks and not realize it? It's not hard for me to imagine that these chefs had palates that couldn't discern simple foods in the QC. They couldn't smell the ocean a block away! I really wish I could have tried Sheldon's dish. That sounded amazing!
  23. Well, Katsuji is certainly consistent. He brought his douchebaggery with him to the LCK peanut gallery. I'm glad that Jamie won. He did an excellent job finding other ways than salt to bring out flavors. He deserved the win. Warm vinaigrette on gorgeous heirloom tomatoes? No Emily, just no. What a stupid challenge though; only 45 seconds in the pantry?
  24. It seems to me that the writers are setting up a redemption arc for Lucifer with the Chloe/Lucifer romance being a big part of that. What really struck me with this week's episode was Lucifer saving the lives of two mortals. Other than Chloe herself, have we seen him actually save human lives prior to this episode? I think Dad's plan (via the writers) is to redeem His favorite son with Mom ending up being the keeper of the keys to hell. It could end up in Amenadiel's lap but my money's on Mom.
