Yes, I was wondering why Brad Rutter wasn't on the list linked in GreekGeek's post. So I guess the list only includes those who competed after the "5 wins" era? That seems unfair.

Amenadiel did ask her how she was really doing. She demurred. Linda's just not ready to talk yet. I'm sure she will be eventually. I'm wondering if there has been turnover in the writers' room. The first two episodes have felt off to me, as if the writers have lost their mojo; except for the last scene with Lucifer holding court. That was excellent. It doesn't hurt that Tom Ellis is in a different league acting-wise from the rest of the cast. I liked Tom Welling as Clark Kent but this does not seem to be a good fit here. I'll give them more time to develop his character but my initial impression is not a good one. I did like the final scene between Pierce and Lucifer. Just my speculation but it seems telegraphed that the Sinnerman killed Pierce's child. Perhaps his spouse also.

In the first season, I wasn't crazy about the first two episodes but thought that I'd give the series a chance to find itself. By the third episode, it had done so IMO and I enjoyed the bulk of the rest of the season's episodes. Here we are in S2 and the same thing seems to be happening. The first two episodes IMO have not been enjoyable. I really didn't like the way Sam addressed Duke's concerns about her Grandma's mortality. I'm giving the series a chance with Ep. 3. If it too sucks, I'm out for good.

Did anyone else notice that JO was wearing a blue jacket with black trousers at the Emmys last night? John's jacket did have black lapels so it may have made some fashion sense but I'm betting it was done specifically to highlight the fact that Trump was photographed wearing the black/blue combo earlier in the week. If so, well done John!

Huge night at the Emmys for Big Little Lies but I need some Academy members to explain to me how they could possibly have awarded BLL with Emmys for Best Series, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Directing and Casting and NOT awarded an Emmy to David E.
